The Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb never fails to be a part of Lush’s Christmas line, year in year out it returns, ready and waiting to fill our bathrooms with a rainbow of bright and happy colours. Up until its Winter 2018 release, the pink and white Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb had always shared its scent with the Twilight bath bomb. I often referred to it as the Twilight bath bomb’s super cool and very cute auntie.

Every year I always look forward to stocking up on the Luxury Lush Pud, I find peace of mind ensuring that I have plenty to see me through until the following Christmas. This year Lush however decided to throw a very unexpected curve ball, they changed the Luxury Lush Puds scent completely. 2018’s Luxury Lush Pud now shared its scent with The Comforter bubble bar instead.

Although I was disappointed that I wouldn’t be getting any fresh Twilight scented Luxury Lush Pud bath bombs any more, I do enjoy the, The Comforter scent and having craved for other products in its scent since Lush discontinued its shower cream counterpart, I welcomed the new Luxury Lush Pud with open arms.

The Twilight scented Luxury Lush Pud is and always will be a Lush classic BUT after a nice, long soak in the waters of the new Luxury Lush Pud, I am still left feeling just as warm, snug and relaxed as I did when using the older version. Its change in scent hasn’t taken away from its charm at all either. – The bath art it creates is just as beautiful as the bath art created by the others from all of the Winters before.

Instead of its lavender ingredients the Luxury Lush Pud now contains mood brightening bergamot, cypress and cassis oil. This well thought out blend of ingredients gives the bath bomb a very distinctive blackcurrant fragrance. The Comforter scent is often compared to getting a big and very loving hug and that’s exactly how I feel when I am submerged in Comforter scented bath water.

Not only do you benefit from its beautiful and very berrylicious scent, hours and hours after using it, you also get soft, smooth and gloriously hydrated skin too. There is something about the Luxury Lush Pud that always leaves me wanting more. The photos speak for themselves. It is a very slow fizzer leaving you with plenty of time to enjoy or capture on camera, the bath art it creates!

Overall I am very impressed with this new version of the Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb. It did take me a short while to get over its scent change – after years of using it with a completely different scent it was bound to confuse my senses ever so slightly, my brain and nose needed a little extra time to adjust BUT it didn’t take them long to do so. I’m not normally one to favour change either, the Comforter scent however really does suit the Luxury Lush Pud and all of its pretty colours.

The bath art is as I mentioned above, still just as phenomenal as the bath art created by its bath bomb ancestors. I was even lucky enough to grab several of the Luxury Lush Pud bath bombs in the Boxing Day sale last week, therefore I won’t be running out of them any time soon. I predict lots of fruity, colourful baths in my very near future!

Mum, Look What I Made For You Bath Bomb from Lush

The Mum, Look What I Made For You Bath Bomb is yet another beautiful product that Lush released as a part of their 2018, Mother’s Day line. With this bath bomb I think Lush have captured the cutest and most innocent of concepts perfectly. Designed to look just like one of those pictures you painted for a loved one as a kid, it’s the perfect gift for anyone you look up to, not just your mum.

Although I quite enjoyed last years flower-shaped bath bomb the Ups-A-Daisy, there’s just something about Mum, Look What I Made For You that is that little bit more desirable to me.

If you were a fan of the Cherryish body scrub from this years Valentine’s range, then it is very likely that you’d enjoy this bath bomb too. Its soft cherry-sweet fragrance is very much like the Cherryish’s scent. This surprised me a great deal as when I very first learnt of Mum, Look What I Made For Yous ingredients I would never have associated the 2 products together.

As well as having a wonderfully warm and inviting scent that rivals the likes of the Comforter bubble bar, the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb is also quite easy on the eye. As soon as the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb hits the water there is an explosion of colour. It’s not quite on par with the colours created by the, The Experimenter bath bomb but is close enough to impress the likes of me. Out of it bursts yellows, oranges, pinks and blues.

It’s scent although gentle, lasts the whole bath. It is a fairly slow dissolver too meaning it puts on an incredible show, the colours and swirls of the bath bomb in the water creates bath art galore. The photographs I have captured of the Mum, Look What I Made for You in action does the bath bomb no justice at all. You really do have to experience it for yourself to see it’s true potential.

As well as the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb being visually pleasing it also has skin-soothing properties. Used alongside the Cherryish body scrub you’ll be left with hydrated, smooth and beautifully buffed skin. Even without the use of the Cherryish body scrub, I find that the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb just on its own is a real treat for dull, tired skin.

After a good soak in a Mum, Look What I Made For You bath, your skin is left delicately fragranced with its warming cherry-sweet scent for the best part of the next day. At first I wasn’t 100% sure that I liked the scent but after falling in love with Cherryish I couldn’t resist buying a couple of the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bombs and I have no regrets on stocking up on it either!

April Showers Bath Bomb from Lush

The April Showers Bath Bomb is a brand new release from Lush, it’s a part of Lush’s Easter 2018 range and I have to say that this year’s collection (the bath bomb’s in particular) are so much better than last years! for me personally, I quite like a wide variety of choices when it comes down to bath bombs.

Sometimes you crave a bold and colourful bath and other times you just want something a little more relaxed, be that a cooler more calmer scent or even just a gentler bath product that maybe displays less colour.

April Showers Bath Bomb

I grabbed the April Showers bath bomb out of the box of Easter stock first as I wanted a quick bath, I assumed that because of its crisp white exterior that it would be similar to the likes of the Sakura or original So White bath bomb. My expectations of the April Showers bath bomb were that it would be a quick, no fuss fizzer…

April Showers is a white, cloud shaped bath bomb that is decorated with pink and purple, raindrop-shaped bath melts. I ignorantly didn’t even realise that the raindrops were actually bath melts until I had used it.

With the Ultra Violet bubble bar not making a return yet again and the Baa Bar bubble bars recent change of ingredients April Showers is the go-to violet scented item in this years Spring collection.

I find April Showers scent to be an incredibly strong and very dry violet based one, not unlike the Ne Worry Pas bath bomb, it is however so much more in-your-face strong.

Once I had put the April Showers bath bomb in the bath the scent intensified even more.

I normally always stock up on any Springtime products with violet in as they tend to really help with my migraines. With April Showers scent being so much stronger than I am used to unfortunately it doesn’t really help me with my migraines, this doesn’t mean it doesn’t make a good bath though!

True, I am disappointed to no longer have a violet based product that helps with my migraines readily available, this however doesn’t take anything away from how much I like this new Lush bath bomb. As I had predicted April Showers was a fairly quick fizzer, what I didn’t expect from it was such beautiful bath art.

As mentioned above the pink and purple raindrops that decorate the April Showers bath bomb are in fact bath melts. It reminded me of the Lava Lamp bath bomb (but you’ll be pleased to hear) is a much easier clean up! – pink and purple oil decorate the milky violet water. I felt myself instantly relax when I lay back in its waters.

It made the water silky soft and in turn moisturised my skin thoroughly. After getting out I did need to pat myself down with a towel but other than that I was fine. A splodge of Fairy liquid and hot water helped rinse the leftover oil from the bath away (no scrubbing necessary!)

Its scent also stayed on my skin too. Once out of the bath, the intensity of the scent did dampen down on my skin it was however still noticeable the morning after which started my day off with me feeling just as relaxed as I was when I first got in the April Showers bath the night before.

Although April Showers isn’t the most eye catching of products upon first glance, it puts on such an amazing show. I am stocking up on this product before Easter is through, I love how unique it is, please try it, it’s a beautiful addition to the Easter 2018 product line.

Tunnel of Love Soap from Lush

I rarely buy Lush soaps, it’s not because I dislike them I just simply prefer using the bubble bars and bath bombs. When I however set eyes on the Tunnel of Love Soap it was love at first sight. Above is a photograph of a slice of the soap and below is a photograph of it pre cut. The below image is how they arrive in to store, it is then up to the store staff to cut it into smaller pieces, ready to sell.

The soap in all of its glory is truly beautiful, I couldn’t stop staring at it when I was by the soap counter in Lush Oxford Street. In all honesty I feel for the store staff, I would feel like the worst person on the planet if I was asked to chop up this huge lump of soap. It’s not just a sight for sore eyes, it’s a work of art!

The Tunnel of Love Soap has a long list of natural ingredients that reflect the Valentine’s period perfectly. It contains both sweet wild orange and lime oil making it have an almost identical scent to the Lush Winter bath bomb, Never Mind the Ballistics. The addition of rose water in it is what gives the Tunnel of Love it’s valentine’s twist.

Its scent is bright and sweet, the orange oil is the most dominant ingredient recognised by my nose, the rose water is next and it rounds the citrus-sweetness of the orange oil off perfectly, giving the Tunnel of Love a more subtle, citrus-scent which is why I feel I like it so very much.

There aren’t many Lush soaps that lather up as quickly as the Tunnel of Love soap, it is one of the best Valentine’s soaps I have used to date, leaving the likes of Roses All the Way and Love You, Love You Lots soap in the shadows. I like all of the Valentine’s Day soaps from the past but there’s just something a little bit more special about the Tunnel of Love soap. It’s so much more creamier than any other floral soap I have used before now.

Its scent although subtle, stays on your skin a good few hours after using it. Although in lather it is quite a creamy soap, it doesn’t leave your skin as soft and hydrated as the naked shower cream from this year (Tender is the Night) does. I however wouldn’t expect this to be the case as it’s rare for a soap to not dry my skin out a little. Out of all of the Valentine’s soaps I have used so far, Tunnel of Love is undeniably the best yet. I’d definitely recommend grabbing a bar before Valentine’s day 2018 has been and gone.

Giant Golden Wonder Bath Bomb from Lush

Giant Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

Lush have really pushed their giant sized bath bombs over the past 18 months. I was over the moon when the news broke that Lush’s 2017 Winter line included a giant version of the Golden Wonder bath bomb. The Giant Golden Wonder Bath Bomb’s Lush-scent-family is one of my all time favourites, Celebrate. Often compared to Champagne the more I sniff any of the Celebrate scented products, the more in love with them I fall.

The Celebrate scent is warm, inviting and impossible to resist. Containing sweet orange, lime and cognac oil the Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb smells to me, just like Christmas. I can’t help but always subconsciously associate the two together. Everything about the Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb is the same as it’s smaller version. It has simply just been made in to a much bigger quantity.

As well as smelling absolutely amazing, the Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb puts on a fantastic show from the very first second it comes into contact with your bath water. With it being so much bigger than the original, ordinary sized bath bomb, it means that there’s five times the amount of biodegradable-paper-stars hidden inside of it as well as a shed load more secret bursts-of-colour.

The photographs I got of the Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb in action below do it no justice at all. The very first time I used the smaller version I was blown away with not just the scent but the bath art it created too. I knew the giant version of it would be spectacular but it honestly took my breath away. To this day I still haven’t captured any photos that I feel worthy of showing a Golden Wonders full potential. Out of all of the bath bombs I have tried over the years Golden Wonder is still the one I will always remember as giving one of the best surprises upon first use. The giant version of this bath bomb was quite literally the best bath I have ever, ever had.

My skin during and after (for the next 3 or 4 days) felt fabulous after using the Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb. The bath water it creates feels softer than silk, if my skin could speak it would demand me to use this giant bath bomb over and over on a weekly basis. The price tag for the Giant Golden Wonder is quite expensive (£12.95 as of December 2017) I therefore only allowed myself to purchase the one, at first I felt a bit guilty but after I used it I realised it was worth every penny. I’d have loved to have ordered a few more but as many of you can appreciate, it is the kind of product you only ever indulge in the once, if at all.

I actually saved my one Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb to use in our brand new bathtub. It felt like an eternity but after several months our bathroom was finally finished early December and the Giant Golden Wonder was the first product to go in it. What a perfect first bath it was too!

Overall I am super impressed with this bath bomb, it is by far the best of the giant bath bombs Lush have made to date. Yes, it is an expensive product but it takes 3 whole days to make and it is also super sized. I only got the one, I was very tempted to grab more in the Oxford Street 50% off sale but I didn’t.

It was definitely an over indulgent purchase for myself of the highest degree BUT after using it I can safely say it was the best £12.95 I have ever spent. Great job Lush!
