Chamomile Lawn Soap from Lush

Chamomile Lawn Soap.png

The Chamomile Lawn Soap from Lush is 1 of 4, 3D printed soaps that were in the Mother’s Day 2018 collection. One reason it has taken me so long to get to the point of reviewing each of these soaps are because of how pretty they are. I simply just didn’t want to rub away at their beautiful and intricate designs. Never-the-less soap is meant to be used and eventually I got around to giving them a go.

The Chamomile Lawn soap has 3 perfect chamomile flowers etched into it. Each soap is a bold, grassy green colour and packed full of calming ingredients making it the perfect soap to use after a long, hard day. Containing lavender, chamomile and neroli, Chamomile Lawn helps you wind down, relax and sets you up for a restful evening and hopefully good night’s sleep.

Scent wise the Chamomile Lawn soap’s most noticeable ingredient has to be the neroli oil. With Chamomile Lawn containing both lavender and neroli oil it is easily mistaken as sharing its scent with the Unicorn Horn bubble bar. Both are indeed very similar, the Chamomile Lawn soaps inclusion of chamomile oil however gives the soap a much stronger more rounded scent than the Unicorn Horn, it’s an almost earthy scent in ways.

The unique shape of the 4 Mother’s Day, 3D printed soaps not only makes them easy to display but also helps when it comes down to gripping them during use. I was worried that its size would cause me to have problems keeping a hold of it in use, this however wasn’t at all a problem.

Normally I would rarely use a bar of soap for anything more than just washing my hands. I however found that Chamomile Lawn lathered up easily and had a really creamy consistency so I decided to use it in the shower. A little of Chamomile Lawn also appears to go a long way, this unfortunately wasn’t the case for all of the Mother’s Day 3D soaps, we will however save that for their own review!

Although I didn’t find using Chamomile Lawn in the shower a particularly moisturising experience, my skin did feel well cleansed and soothed after use. A quick splash of Lush’s Dream Cream once I was out of the shower, helped hydrate my skin where the Chamomile Lawn soap had left me needing a hydration boost. I like to pair Chamomile Lawn with the Dream Cream body lotion as their scents are fairly similar. Overall I really enjoyed this Mother’s Day soap, it’s as good in use as it is beautiful.

Incredible Mum Bath Bomb from Lush

Incredible Mum Bath Bomb

The Incredible Mum is a superhero shaped bath bomb that was first released by Lush in 2018. Its name makes it very obvious that it is a part of the Mother’s day range, and what an incredible Mother’s day range Lush have showcased this year!

The Incredible Mum Bath Bomb is quite unique when it comes down to its design. One half is orange, the other half a beautiful shade of hot pink. Its top half also has a raised, purple superhero eye mask. Incredible Mum also comes with a superhero, paper cape that is sandwiched between both the orange and pink sides.

Containing bergamot, orange flower absolute and ylang ylang oil, I knew I’d really like this bath bomb long before I had even had a chance to sniff its fruity and soft floral fragrance. Its scent isn’t the same as (but reminds me of) 2017’s Cupid bath bomb.

Both Cupid and the Incredible Mum bath bombs have bergamot and limonene in. I figure that this is what my nose picks up on when I tie the two products together fragrance-wise. I love Incredible Mums refreshing scent, although I am afraid that I am a little biased as anything that contains bergamot oil is always irresistible to me!

As soon as the Incredible Mum bath bomb comes into contact with the bath water there is an explosion of orange, pink and purple. The bath bomb dances around the water’s surface sending swirls of pink and orange patterns. As Incredible Mum charges around the bath spilling out all of that colour, it is followed by its yellow and pink, paper cape.

Although Incredible Mum is quite the fast fizzer, it is still one of my favourite products from this years Mother’s day line. Its scent stays with you throughout the whole of your bath while also remaining on your skin for several hours after getting out of the bath too. It not only leaves you smelling great and feeling physically brighter but also softens and hydrates your skin so well that you don’t even need to moisturise once out of the tub.

INCREDIBLEmum

Overall I am very pleased with the Incredible Mum bath bomb. True, it is nothing compared to the Roller bath bomb – a past Lush cult-favourite for Lushies around the mother’s day period. It is however quite the product just for its unique design and scent, CAPE AND ALL.

Many people have asked what happens to the paper cape once the bath bomb has dissolved. It’s made of paper and doesn’t dissolve alongside the bath bomb, it’s exactly the same as the secret paper notes you used to find in the Blackberry and Fizzbanger bath bombs but just on a much bigger scale.

The only negative thing I want to say about this bath bomb is in regards to its name. I honestly don’t think what I’m about to say is a huge issue BUT not everyone has a great relationship with their parents, (I dread Father’s day, I know I shouldn’t feel weird about enjoying that line of products but I do.)

For example, I feel that the Roller bath bomb sold well (not just because of its level of perfection) but because it wasn’t completely entwined by its name with Mother’s day. Unfortunately not everyone has an ‘Incredible Mum’ and I wouldn’t want anyone to feel as if they need to miss out on this product because of this.

The Madame President bath bomb that was new to this year, alongside Incredible Mum was a fabulously empowering product for women and I think Lush missed a trick by making the Incredible Mum’s name so ‘Mother’s Day’. I cannot stress enough how good this bath bomb was in every other aspect though, I am very sad that I didn’t get the chance to stock up on it.

Mum, Look What I Made For You Bath Bomb from Lush

Mum, Look What I Made for You Bath Bomb.png

The Mum, Look What I Made For You Bath Bomb is yet another beautiful product that Lush released as a part of their 2018, Mother’s Day line. With this bath bomb I think Lush have captured the cutest and most innocent of concepts perfectly. Designed to look just like one of those pictures you painted for a loved one as a kid, it’s the perfect gift for anyone you look up to, not just your mum.

Although I quite enjoyed last years flower-shaped bath bomb the Ups-A-Daisy, there’s just something about Mum, Look What I Made For You that is that little bit more desirable to me.

If you were a fan of the Cherryish body scrub from this years Valentine’s range, then it is very likely that you’d enjoy this bath bomb too. Its soft cherry-sweet fragrance is very much like the Cherryish’s scent. This surprised me a great deal as when I very first learnt of Mum, Look What I Made For Yous ingredients I would never have associated the 2 products together.

As well as having a wonderfully warm and inviting scent that rivals the likes of the Comforter bubble bar, the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb is also quite easy on the eye. As soon as the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb hits the water there is an explosion of colour. It’s not quite on par with the colours created by the, The Experimenter bath bomb but is close enough to impress the likes of me. Out of it bursts yellows, oranges, pinks and blues.

It’s scent although gentle, lasts the whole bath. It is a fairly slow dissolver too meaning it puts on an incredible show, the colours and swirls of the bath bomb in the water creates bath art galore. The photographs I have captured of the Mum, Look What I Made for You in action does the bath bomb no justice at all. You really do have to experience it for yourself to see it’s true potential.

As well as the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb being visually pleasing it also has skin-soothing properties. Used alongside the Cherryish body scrub you’ll be left with hydrated, smooth and beautifully buffed skin. Even without the use of the Cherryish body scrub, I find that the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bomb just on its own is a real treat for dull, tired skin.

After a good soak in a Mum, Look What I Made For You bath, your skin is left delicately fragranced with its warming cherry-sweet scent for the best part of the next day. At first I wasn’t 100% sure that I liked the scent but after falling in love with Cherryish I couldn’t resist buying a couple of the Mum, Look What I Made For You bath bombs and I have no regrets on stocking up on it either!
