Geo Phyzz Bath Bomb from Lush

Geo Phyzz Bath Bomb.pngThe Geo Phyzz bath bomb was my number one, desperately in search of bath bomb for as long as I can remember. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, it showed up in the Lush Kitchen.

Although the Geo Phyzz bath bomb does not put on a colourful bath-time-show in quite the same way as various other bath bombs do, I still favour it because of its incredible ingredients. Looking very similar to a scoop of mint, chocolate chip ice cream it’s hard to resist.

I searched high and low for Geo Phyzz as I had heard from a reliable source that it is meant to be the holy grail bath bomb for aching muscles. Now I have actually used Geo Phyzz, I can write this review and wholeheartedly confirm that it really is VERY, VERY, good at soothing fatigued and achy muscles.

Geo Phyzz is said to be ‘Phyzz-iotherapy at its best.’ Seeing as I haven’t had the best of history with real life physiotherapists I was quite looking forward to experiencing the bath bomb equivalent. Obviously a bath bomb will never actually replace a physiotherapist but to humour me, let’s just pretend that it can and has…

The one thing I was 100% sure on when I first had the Geo Phyzz bath bomb in my hands was that it wouldn’t spend our whole time together chipping away at what little confidence I had, this was unfortunately the case for me when seeing an actual physio therapist…. Luckily I now have the most wonderful physiotherapist but some in the past, especially the one before the one I have now, have been diabolically awful. Cruel, soul destroying and unhelpful… I am so, so grateful for my latest physio therapist but even more grateful for Lush’s Geo Phyzz, if more physiotherapists were like the Geo Phyzz bath bomb I think the physio therapy world would be a much happier place! 😉

Geo Phyzz has a very earthy, moss-like and pine wood forest scent. Back when I first got into Lush it took me quite a while to appreciate products with a scent like this. I used to always go for the citrus based products leaving anything a little mossy or different in the shadows. Since my sense of smell has however somewhat matured, I now find myself craving the earthy products just as much as I ever have the alternatives.

Geo Phyzz has a long list of soothing and natural ingredients. Course sea and red Hawaiian salts help to cleanse, relax and soften your tired body. As for the oak-moss, pine, sandalwood and cypress oils, they give off a woody aroma grounding you to the here and now. Geo Phyzz is the perfect bath time buddy if you’re in need of recharging your batteries. Its refreshing and gentle scent leaves you calm and content, lulling your mind into a complete state of relaxation.

I always try and grab as many Geo Phyzz’s as I can when they come into the Lush Kitchen, for people like me that suffer with chronic, widespread pain there is no other bath bomb quite like it. Bathing myself in it literally makes my aches, pains and worries feel like a distant memory.

The closest alternative product to Geo Phyzz that is readily available is probably the Big Blue Bath Bomb, although it is no where near as magical on the muscles.

As I said above, Geo Phyzz isn’t as pretty to watch fizz away as other bath bombs but sometimes it’s what is inside that counts the most.

A Geo Phyzz bath is a truly pleasant bathing experience, my muscles are never happier than when I’m sharing a bath with the Geo Phyzz bath bomb!

Christmas Angel Bath Bomb from Lush

Halo there, welcome to my very first Lush review of 2017. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are 3 days in to your best year yet, may it be filled with lots of Lush, happiness and good health…

I’ve been poorly myself so am getting back into blogging  after the Christmas break slower than I expected, hopefully I will be on the mend soon as we’re hurtling right into my impending wedding day a lot faster than I’d like, weddings don’t organise themselves… #HelpABrideOut

Although this review is a little late for Christmas, I wanted to get it up on my blog as I am very confident that the Lush Kitchen will feature it again as it always sells well and for good reason!
christmas-angel-bath-bombThe Christmas Angel Bath Bomb is a dusky pink, Angel shaped bath product that smells of mint-chocolate-chip ice cream.

Its design is undeniably cute. I love that Lush sometimes bring out products that aren’t just a ball of bicarb, giving their products faces and making them into characters gives them a desirable edge that provides them with an advantage when it comes down to sales.

The Abombinaball bath bomb, Mumkin bubble bar and Monsters’ Ball bath bombs are all perfect examples of best selling, character products.cabbgroupIf you’re into the super colourful bath bombs such as The Experimenter then the Christmas Angel probably isn’t for you. When I first got into Lush I thought the more colourful the bath bomb the better. With time I have however learnt to appreciate the not so in your face bath bombs.

Once placed in the bath, the Christmas Angel’s delicate mint-chocolate-chip ice cream scent immediately invites you in. It instantly begins to froth, slowly making a soft, milky-pink layer on the top of your bath water.

Hidden within the Christmas Angel’s ingredients is organic cocoa butter, soya milk powder and almond oil making it one of the most hydrating bath bombs I have ever used.

Not only does it hydrate, soften and pamper your skin it also leaves a subtle yet devastatingly moreish scent on it. Its scent although very delicate remains on your skin long after getting out of the bath, it always leaves me craving another.

Christmas Angel is notoriously slow to dissolve, some may not like this, I however quite enjoy the slow ones as I feel like I get that little bit longer to relax and enjoy it.

I’d love to see the Christmas Angel bath bomb in another format, a shower gel or body lotion equivalent would be out of this world.

Overall I really do like this bath bomb. Its scent and the light pink colour it leaves your bath water has a very calming effect on me. I also think it would work well in a cooler bath that you’d maybe have in the Summer months. This bath bomb is worth stocking up on and I will be buying it at every opportunity I get.

Celebrate Body Lotion from Lush

Celebrate Body Lotion is one of my all time favourite Christmas-time Lush products.

When I found out that it wouldn’t be making a return this year, (2016) I was devastated. I had only one pot and a good three quarters of it had been used up. I have been using the last blob of my body lotion sparingly and am now only a week or so away from it being completely empty. *cries*

Luckily the Lush God’s have been listening to me and next week Celebrate body lotion will be up for grabs in the Lush Kitchen. Just one pot should cover me right up until this time next year. YAY!

Celebrate body lotion

The Celebrate body lotion shares its scent with some of the best products Lush have to offer. To name a few there is the Golden Wonder bath bomb, First Snow dusting powder and the Bubbly shower gel. It’s a really popular scent and features in several different formats, the more the merrier and all that… 😉

As soon as you pop open the lid of the Celebrate body lotion you are greeted with the comforting and refreshing scent of warming cognac, sweet orange and zesty lime oils. It is a creamy coloured lotion and its scent alone invites you in to using it, enjoying it with all of your senses.

A little bit of the Celebrate body lotion goes a very long way, one 225g pot has lasted me just over a year and it’s good even past its sell by date as it is self preserving. Just make sure it is stored somewhere cool and that the lid is left on it in between uses.3.0.png

Using Celebrate body lotion lifts my mood, it is perfect when applied after a long, hard day.

Once applied the scent itself stays with you through out the night and most of the next day too. Pairing it up with the First Snow dusting powder makes for a match made in heaven.

Not only does Celebrate leave you smelling fabulous, it also leaves you with soft, smooth and gloriously hydrated skin – it is the perfect body lotion and by far one of the best I have ever used.

This year (2016) they brought Sleepy body lotion out in its place. As I mentioned above I was devastated, Sleepy is however a very good body lotion, I like it a lot. I am just an old school Lushie and love the Celebrate body lotion just that little bit more.

Both Celebrate and Sleepy have their strong points but I believe Celebrate body lotion will always be my all time favourite.
