NEW So White Bath Bomb from Lush

So White Bath Bomb NEW 2018.png

The So White Bath Bomb has had many visual updates, it started off as just a plain white sphere-shaped bath bomb with light pink insides (reviewed here) this version was released as a part of the Winter line consecutively for quite a few years.

It was then changed to have an apple-like-shape with a single green leaf sat on its top in 2016. This version of the bath bomb created some of the best bath art that I have EVER seen from a Lush bath bomb. (reviewed here)

I adored everything about the 2016 version of the So White bath bomb. Lush however decided to update it yet again just a few years later. Now it still shares the apple-like-shape from its previous version BUT it is completely white, even on the inside. The bath art has gone down the drain, literally…

The only thing that has stayed the same throughout So White’s many face lifts is its scent. The So White scent is in my top 3 favourite Lush scents, as sad as I was to lose what was one of my favourite parts of a much loved bath bomb I was happy I could still experience some of its wonder, minus the bath art.

As angry as I was at Lush for taking away a huge part of one of my all-time-favourite products I understood why they took the colour out of it. For starters it made the bath bombs name make more sense. It also became more desirable to customers who don’t like to bathe in lots of colour or glitter. Sometimes less is more.

With its deliciously-crisp, apple scent, the So White bath bomb smells just like a fairytale. Neroli, orange flower, Brazilian orange, bergamot and rose absolute are blended together to create one of the freshest fragrances Lush have on offer.

Seeing as the So White bath bomb doesn’t create any bath art I didn’t take many pictures of it once it was in the water. It’s a very slow fizzer and what it lacks in bath art it well makes up for with its scent and how soft and milky-white it turns your bath water.

I always come out of a So White bath feeling instantly refreshed, its scent is just so uplifting and gives me a real happiness-boost, helping to go about the rest of my day with a clear state of mind. I can never resist its scent.

After using it, its fairytale fragrance stays on my skin for the best part of the rest of the day, I however like the scent so much that I can never resist topping myself up with its body spray equivalent, the So White body spray.

Any product that has the So White fragrance will always be one of my favourites, if Lush had taken the colour out of any other bath bomb I doubt they’d have got away with it!

Marshmallow World Bath Bomb from Lush

Marshmallow World Bath Bomb

The Marshmallow World Bath Bomb is a member of Lush’s American Cream scent-family. The American Cream scent isn’t a favourite of mine BUT it’s a light enough fragrance that I am happy to use every now and again.

Being honest as always, the  American Cream scent has always reminded me of one of those tree-shaped car-air-fresheners. Those air-fresheners remind me of the long car journeys that I seemed to always be on as a child, which aren’t the fondest of my childhood memories; Therefore the Marshmallow World bath bomb and I from the get-go weren’t off to the best of starts…

All-things-American-Cream are however ridiculously  popular within the Lush community and after getting on quite well with the American Cream shower gel I thought I’d give the Marshmallow World bath bomb a go too.

However I feel about a products scent, if it’s pink it’s still got a good chance of impressing me. With the Marshmallow World bath bomb being so pink I found it impossible to resist so ordered a couple.

The Marshmallow World bath bomb was first released back in November 2018 as a part of a huge community favourites release, amongst other bath bombs such as; the New Blackberry, The Comforter and the Melusine bath bombs.

After selling so well, Lush decided to make the Marshmallow World bath bomb a permanent fixture and it has been a staple, all-year-round product ever since.

As soon as the Marshmallow World bath bomb touches the water a stream of pink and white bubbles begin to fizzle out of it. As it bobs around the water sending waves of pink and white here, there and everywhere a light vanilla scent with a touch of strawberry slowly fragrances the room.

If your favourite colour is pink, then the bath art that the Marshmallow World bath bomb creates will leave you spell bound. Containing Vanilla absolute, lavender oil and marshmallow root powder, the Marshmallow World bath bomb is not only soothing to your mind but your skin too.

Once the Marshmallow World bath bomb has fully dissolved you are left with bright pink bath-water that is silky soft, to touch. The marshmallow root powder really does make a difference on your skin. Once I had got out of the bath I couldn’t believe how soft my skin felt!

Long gone are the comparisons my nose made of the American-Cream-scent and tree-shaped car-air-fresheners.

Although I’m still not a huge fan of the American Cream fragrance, favouring citrus based fragrances instead; The Marshmallow World bath bomb did really impress me. For a bath bomb that isn’t rich with organic cocoa butter like the Roller bath bomb I can’t quite believe how hydrated and smooth it left my skin. All-in-all, I’d definitely recommend this bath bomb and can see how it has lasted so long as an all-year-round product. 😊

Pop Art Bath Bomb from Lush

Pop Art Bath Bomb

To look at you wouldn’t know that the Pop Art Bath Bomb is in fact a part of the Christmas 2019 line. The fact it’s not in-your-face Christmas is actually what first drew me to it. I imagine this would be the case for many others that aren’t quite ready to embrace the C word yet! 😉

Made in the same mould as the new Blackberry, The Comforter and the Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bath bombs I was very excited to give it a try.

Pop Art is inspired by popcorn, a snack I can never get enough of. With its shape and its bright yellow and white colours it certainly stands out from all the other bath bombs currently available.

When it comes down to Pop Art’s scent family the Lush Community are divided on which Lush scent it is closest to. What with the shut down of Lush-UK’s social media too, it’s made it more difficult to get an official answer.

When the news of Pop Art was first leaked we all thought that its scent would be the same as the mouthwateringly scrumptious Let the Good Times Roll Fresh Cleanser; Since however using it I am leaning more towards it sharing its scent with the Yog Nog bath bomb.

It’s difficult to say which products scent it is supposed to emulate because of Pop Arts basic and incredibly vague ingredients list. I do however feel safe in saying that Pop Art’s scent is a fine mix of the 2 – just think of it like it is the baby of both the aforementioned bath bombs. 😉

As soon as the Pop Art bath bomb hits the water you are greeted with a huge hiss, yellow and white foam fizzles out of it as it slowly bobs around the water surface. Once in the water it doesn’t take long for the hidden popping candy to kick in…

I don’t ever recall a bath bomb with quite as much popping candy before, Pop by name and pop by nature! Pop Art is a fabulously slow dissolver too, the popping candy cackled away for well over 5 minutes and hidden inside there is also burst of red colour too; Pop Art creates red, orange and yellow swirly bath art galore!

I am still undecided as to whether Pop Art is more Yog Nog scented than it is Let the Good Times Roll. I would however confidently say that if you do enjoy the Yog Nog bath bomb, you’d enjoy Pop Art. Think of it as a less oily version of the Yog Nog bath bomb, Pop Art doesn’t have the hidden bath melts in but does have plenty of popping candy!

Overall I am impressed with the Pop Art bath bomb, its caramel-sweet, pop corn fragrance although subtle stays on your skin long after getting out of the bath and it’s actually very hydrating on the skin too. I adore the popping candy aspect and was also blown away by the bath art it created.
