Human Rights Showder from Lush

The Human Rights Showder is Lush’s latest charity product. All of the money (minus VAT) from the sales of this product goes to support the vital work of EachOther, a small UK-focused charity that uses independent journalism, storytelling and film making to tell the stories that would otherwise go unheard.

The Human Rights showder is raising awareness that in the UK, the essential human rights that we all rely on to protect us are under threat. Our rights exist to protect us all from persecution and safeguard the most marginalised members of our society.

Here’s a direct link to the EachOther Instagram page (EachOtherUK) so you can get a better idea on what Lush and Eachother are trying to achieve together. The UK are currently up against potentially being pulled out of the European Court of Human Rights, something that I believe shouldn’t even be up for discussion.

Thank you to Lush for sending me out a box of this so that I could be a part of the campaign. As a disabled woman the idea behind losing any more than I already have, terrifies me.

For anyone who hasn’t experienced a Lush showder before, I suspect you’re wondering what a showder even is… A showder is quite simply a shower-powder. To use a showder all you have to do is take a handful of the powder from its box, then add water.

The Showder then foams up and creates a lovely thick lather. The reaction is not dissimilar to how a bath bomb reacts when it first gets wet. Once you have it all mixed up, you use it just as you would a shower gel.

Human Rights is a sky blue colour, just like its box. It shares its scent with Salt Water Soother bath bomb and contains a mixture of extra virgin coconut, peppermint, eucalyptus and spearmint oil. Its scent is super uplifting, using it in the morning gives me a real boost.

Scent wise, the most dominant of the oils in the Human Rights showder that I can smell are the spearmint and eucalyptus. Before now, I have reviewed showders and mentioned how impractical a carboard boxed product is for the shower.

However, the Human Rights showder seems to be in a much easier to handle box than previous showders. While you still can’t keep the box in the shower with you, getting a small amount of the showder out is a lot easier to do now, I now just grab a small handful before I jump in the shower. All you need to do is tip a little out into your hand.

As showders go, I was surprised at how far the showder powder goes, normally I’d have to use quite a lot of showder to get a decent lather but the Human Rights showder foams up quickly and creates a soft yet scrubby foam that not only cleans your skin but leaves your skin feeling cool too.

I am going to be taking full advantage of this showders cooling properties and energy boosting fragrance when Summer finally arrives!

See And Be Seen Body Wash from Lush

The See And Be Seen Body Wash is another product from the Lush X Bridgerton line, I was lucky enough to be given a pot of it by Lush.

I have really enjoyed exploring each of the new Bridgerton products, they are all so carefully thought out.

Lush describe the See And Be Seen body wash as a product that will have you ‘smelling decadent and ready to step into your spotlight’.

As you can see from the photos I have included in this review, the See And Be Seen body wash has such an exquisitely decorated label, fitting right in with all things Bridgerton!

The See And Be Seen body wash contains a fresh rose petal infusion, cornstarch, xantham gum, fresh strawberry juice, Pakistani rose absolute and rose, geranium and lemon oils.

It is a dark red colour and shares its scent with the best-selling Rose Jam shower gel so has naturally received a lot of interest, out of all of the new Bridgerton products See And Be Seen body wash is the one I have received the most questions about.

Although Rose Jam is primarily a floral based, rose-rich fragrance, it also has other depths to it with the addition of the lemon oil; This pinch of zest really rounds off the scent in an almost musky way.

Rose scents are often associated with the older generations but the See And Be Seen body wash has proven popular for all ages.

Its consistency is very similar to a shower slime, but it separates a bit easier. Lush’s shower slimes can be stretched while still intact, whereas the See And Be Seen body wash you can pull bits off of, almost in a clump. If I had to compare its consistency with something I’d say it is most like a jam.

I am pleased to say that a very small amount of the See And Be Seen body wash goes a long way making its higher price easier to swallow.

A small scoop easily lathers up, I recommend adding hot shower water to help get it going.

See And Be Seen body wash smells heavenly so it’s very tempting to overindulge, I however feel the less you use the better the washing experience. Too much product makes it harder to lather up and it becomes way too creamy in an unpleasant way. Remember, with this body wash, less is more!

I don’t think I’ve ever used such a small amount of a product with such amazing results on my skin before. A small amount of See And Be Seen body wash leaves my skin clean, hydrated and silky smooth to the touch.

Its scent remains on your skin for several hours after you have used it and your skin also stays hydrated and soft right up until your next shower.

Overall, I feel as if the See And Be Seen body wash is a fantastic edition to the ever growing, Rose-Jam-scented-products-family and I feel the scent fits right into the Bridgerton theme perfectly.

I’d be interested to see other products come out in the same jam-like consistency; I feel with you needing to use such a small amount per wash it could be a decent way of saving money without losing the thrill of using a luxury product!

Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut Bath Bomb from Lush

Right on time for the very exciting Netflix release of Bridgerton season 3, Lush has created a line of Lush X Bridgerton products! One part of the collaboration was a Bridgerton themed Lush Kitchen Subscription Box and Fresh and Flowers box, and the other was a line of online and in store products.

Today I’ll be reviewing the Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut Bath Bomb from the online and in store Bridgerton line.

I was lucky enough to receive a Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb in a surprise box sent from Lush. I squealed the house down when I saw the parcel sat on my doorstep!

The Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb is beautiful. I’ve had to include two main photos for this bath bomb just so you can see how spectacular it is. It’s been created in the shape of a diamond and on its top, it has a crown etched into it.

The Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb is 3 different colours that complement each other perfectly, a light blue, dark blue and purply-pink.

Each of the bath bombs are approximately 125g each and are just the right size to fit snuggly in my hand.

The Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb contains bergamot oil, lemon myrtle oil and benzoin resinoid. It shares its scent with the, The Elephant in the Tea Room bath bomb from 2022’s Mother’s Day line.

Its scent is a very light citrus one, it would be a good bath bomb to go for if you’re into the more subtle Lush scents.

Although it’s not a super powerful fragrance it does leave me cheery and bright, sometimes less really is more!

The Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb is almost too pretty to use, it’s a perfect little work of art, I love its diamond shape, the three different colours it has and the embossed crown on its top. It really is fit for royalty.

As the Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb comes in to contact with your bath water there is a gentle hiss as a tiny stream of the three different colours fizzles out of it.

The lemon myrtle oil really comes through once the bath bomb is in the heated water, it’s a really uplifting yet gentle fragrance.

The Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb is taken over by the water after about three minutes and that’s when the bath bomb starts to dance around your bathtub creating swirly blue and pink bath art.

After just under ten minutes the bath bomb has fully dissolved, the water left behind is sky blue and so sparkly, you can tell exactly why Lush decided to make it a diamond shaped bath bomb!

The water left my skin feeling silky soft and well hydrated, I really didn’t want to get out of the bath.

Overall, I loved the Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut bath bomb, its scent although gentle left me feeling so chilled out and uplifted.

The bath art it created was incredible too, as always, my photos in this review do it no justice at all.

I’d love to see this become a mainline product one day, there’s not a single thing that I dislike about it.
