Violet Cream Bubble Bar from Lush

The Violet Cream Bubble Bar is 1 of 2 limited edition flower-shaped-bubble-bars from 2021’s Mother’s Day line. When my Mother’s Day order first arrived, before I’d even had a chance to scoop out the packing peanuts the Violet Cream bubble bar was the first product my nose picked up on.

Sharing its scent with Lush’s much-loved Daddy-O shampoo, I knew immediately that Violet Cream would sell well. SPOILER ALERT, if you like Parma Violet sweets, then Violet Cream really is the bubble bar for you!

The Violet Cream bubble bar is around the same size at the Peachy bath bomb. It is just the right size to fit snuggly in to your hand. While it’s not as big as the likes of the Brightside bubble bar it’s definitely substantial enough to be spread out over 2 baths.

The Violet Cream bubble bar is a bright and beautiful shade of purple. As well as its striking colour, Violet Cream is decorated with a sprinkling of plastic-free-natural shimmer which is very similar to the shimmer used to decorate the Melusine bath bomb. To finish off its flower-look, a single yellow tapioca pearl is placed in its middle, surrounded by its petals.

As I said earlier, if you like Parma Violet sweets Violet Cream is well worth trying. Containing both violet leaf and rose absolute, Violet Creams scent is one of the most inviting and uplifting fragrances available in this year’s Mother’s Day selection.

For violet coloured water and plenty of fluffy white bubbles simply crumble the Violet Cream bubble bar under the tap as your bath fills up. It wasn’t until I broke the Violet Cream bubble bar up that I realised how it got its name. Inside the Violet-flower-shaped bubble bar is its ‘cream’.

When I first see the ‘cream’ inside of it, I thought it was the same as the substance that holds a Lush bubbleroon together, the cream in this bubble bar is however a little different. It’s a really soft and workable cake/biscuit like icing.

When crumbling the ‘cream’ part under the running tap it was a lot more robust than the bubble bar part, taking a lot longer to break up.

I did find that it took a little more effort to make bubbles with the Violet Cream bubble bar than normal, whether this was something to do with the ‘cream’ part I’m not sure but other than that I can’t fault it. The water was luxuriously soft and it left my skin feeling even softer. I really enjoyed using Violet Cream and have ordered a few more as the scent really is to die for.

Blazin’ Bad Zula Bath Bomb from Lush

blazin' bad zula bath bomb

The Blazin’ Bad Zula Bath Bomb is a brand new release from Lush’s 2020 Mother’s Day line. If you’re a Spice Girl fan like me, you may recognise this bath bombs name as it is named after Scary Spices alter ego in the Spice Girls 1996 top hit, Say You’ll Be There’s music video. My inner 6 year old squealed with excitement at the thought of a Spice Girl bath bomb, I just simply had to get a hold of one as quickly as possible.

In the 30 years I have lived on planet Earth I don’t think anything else has ever captivated my time and attention more than the Spice Girls did and Lush does now, mix them both together and I’m in heaven.

BlazinBadZula-1

Blazin’ Bad Zula’s scent is a fragrance we’ve had from Lush before, it shares its scent with the Chris The Camel bath bomb that was first released as a part of Lush’s 2019 Christmas line. Containing black pepper, cinnamon leaf, Brazilian orange and clove bud oils Blazin’ Bad Zula’s fragrance is sweet yet spicy. I personally really like its scent but have heard from a few others that it is quite the acquired taste.

Any Lush product with a hint of spice in especially cinnamon is bound to be a hit with me, as I suffer with chronic pain; The warm ingredients in certain Lush products are a god-send for me as they work wonders on aching muscles. My mission to help myself combat the chronic pain I suffer with is actually what first inspired me to get into Lush products, this makes Blazin’ Bad Zula even more exciting for me!

As you can see from the photos the Blazin’ Bad Zula bath bomb was designed with Scary Spices trademark leopard print in mind. What I wasn’t prepared for when I threw the Blazin’ Bad Zula bath bomb into the bath was the BATH ART.

phonto-2

The Blazin’ Bad Zula bath bomb is a very slow fizzer leaving you plenty of time to admire the bath art it leaves behind. As it bobs around in the water it shoots out a wide range of colours, yellows, purples, greens and blues; White foam too. My photos of the bath bomb in action do it no justice at all.

Once Blazin’ Bad Zula has completely dissolved the water left behind feels luxurious and silky smooth. It’s a very dark shade of purple with a generous helping of golden sparkle, as well as laying back in its warming and stimulating waters you can’t help but swish the water round, swirls of green and gold come to the surface before quickly disappearing again. It’s a true piece of art!

The sweet and spicy scent of the Blazin’ Bad Zula bath bomb lasts through out the whole bath. Once out of the bath its scent also remains on your skin for the best part of the rest of the day too. My nose always seems to detect a banana element to this bath bomb, it’s strange as, as far as I am aware it hasn’t got banana in but I’m not the only one to make the comparison.

If any Lush product has ever oozed girl power before it hasn’t been quite on par with the beautiful Blazin’ Bad Zula bath bomb. For lightly shimmered, glowing and beautifully hydrated skin give Blazin’ Bad Zula a go! I hope that Lush bring this bath bomb out again as I missed being able to stock up on it because of  the temporary closure due to social distancing. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb from Lush

Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb

The Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb is 1 of 3 butterfly shaped bath bombs from Lush’s 2019 Mother’s day line. The carefully crafted, butterfly shaped bath bombs are far from the likes of the standard round ones such as the Big Blue and Sakura bath bombs.

With the use of 3D printers, Lush have been experimenting with their bath-bomb-moulds, trying out lots of different and super-intricate designs. Through the use of these 3D printers Lush created the beautiful Butterfly bath bombs.

phonto-3

The butterfly bath bombs have proven very popular because of their beautiful and clever design, Lush were very wise when they made the decision to make and release 4 different butterfly bath bombs. (I’ll talk about the 4th butterfly bath bomb that isn’t a part of the Mothers day line in its own review very soon.)

The Lemon Butterfly bath bombs ingredients are all things zingy; Containing both Sicilian lemon and sweet wild orange its yet another zesty-sweet, citrus scented bath bomb, perfect for awakening your senses!

As soon as the Lemon Butterfly bath bomb touches the water an array of green and yellow foam bursts out of it. A thin layer of colourful, silky soft foam slowly spreads across the waters surface as it slowly bubbles away.

As the Lemon Butterfly bath bomb charges around the bath it creates the most beautiful green and yellow bath art as seen in the photos below. For its size the Lemon Butterfly bath bomb is quite the slow fizzer, ensuring you stay in the bath for that little bit longer soaking up all of its goodness.

As the Lemon Butterfly bath bomb dissolves, it slowly turns your bath water a neon green colour. The shade of green makes the water left behind by the Avobath bath bomb seem boring and pasty…

A good soak in a Lemon Butterfly bath leaves your skin brighter and super-refreshed. Its scent although subtle stays on your skin long after you have got out of your bath tub.

Overall I am very impressed with the Lemon Butterfly bath bomb. Unfortunately for me the UK’s Mother’s Day has been and gone but I know some other countries still haven’t had their Mother’s Day yet.

Please make sure that you try this bath bomb at least once while you/if you still can, alongside the other 2 Mother’s Day butterfly bath bombs, Wild Butterfly and Rose Butterfly it really is a fantastic addition to the Mother’s Day 2019 line, as well as a product that I hope to see it again next year!
