Witchy Woo Bubble Bar from Lush

The Witchy Woo Bubble Bar is a brand-new, limited edition product from Lush’s 2024 Halloween line.

Design wise, the Witchy Woo bubble bar looks and is made in the exact same way as the year round best-selling bubble bars, Brightside, The Comforter and Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds.

Lush get two different coloured bits of bubble-bar-dough then roll them together. The miniature sized ones are then squished from the top, a bit like you would do when laying cookies out on their baking tray. The larger sized bubbles are made a little differently, they are rolled into a big sausage shape and then chopped into slices (See above photo)

Each of these methods is how Lush get the beautiful bubble bar to look so perfectly swirled!

You can only buy the full sized Witchy Woo bubble bars individually, but the smaller sized ones are available in some of the Halloween giftsets.

The Witchy Woo bubble bar is both bright green and jet black, fitting right into the theme of Halloween. The striking green and black parts of the bubble bar spiral around each other, swirling in an almost hypnotising way. I love how the colours clash so well against each other, making the Witchy Woo bubble bar all-the-more eye-catching.

At approximately 200g each the full sized Witchy Woo bubble bars are one of Lush’s biggest bubble bars currently available.

The Witchy Woo bubble bar contains some of the following ingredients: lime oil, olibanum resinoid and neroli oil.

It shares its scent with my all-time favourite Halloween product (that Lush didn’t bring back AGAIN) the Monsters’ Ball bath bomb.

Other products that share its scent are the Zesty body spray, Man in the Moon bubble bar, Calacas shower gel and past Halloween bath bombs, The Enchanter and Big Foot.

The Witchy Woo bubble bars scent is best described as a sweet yet sharp, zesty mood boosting fragrance. Some say it reminds them of sour sweets. Its scent-family is in my top three favourite Lush scents, so I was more than delighted to see it in such a big bubble bar this Halloween!

To use the non-reusable bubble bars like Witchy Woo, I break them up then stick the bubble bar pieces into a sieve and let the running-tap spill over it (see above photo).

This method is the best way to ensure none of the bubble bar gets accidentally wasted and through trial and error, I have worked out that it is the best way to get the most out of your bubble bar, bubble wise.The best thing about the Witchy Woo bubble bar (apart from its scent) is just how far such a small amount of it goes.

You can get (at the very least) three baths out of just the one bubble bar without compromising on its scent quality and bubble amount. If you did however feel like you wanted to use more of it per bath, you can always add more, you are in charge after all!

The blanket of fluffy white bubbles starts to grow as soon as you place the broken-up pieces of the Witchy Woo Bubble Bar under the running tap.

Underneath the fast-building blanket of fluffy, white bubbles it looks like the water is turning a murky shade of green, but it slowly brightens up to a lighter shade of green. Something I wasn’t expecting with the bubble bar having so much black in it too.

The water underneath the bubbles is incredibly soft and in turn, left my skin feeling even softer once I was out of the bath. The scent lasted throughout the bath and lingered in the air long after pulling the plug too. My skin was also left fragranced although, it was very subtle.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Witchy Woo bubble bar and have grabbed a few more to use later on in the year as I am terrified that it won’t come back next Halloween, I have my fingers crossed that Witchy Woo isn’t one of Lush’s many one-hit-wonder-products as I can never get enough of this Lush-scent-family, especially at Halloween!

Bob Bath Bomb from Lush

Alongside the recent release of the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice film, Lush have created a limited edition collection that’s as bold and quirky as the film itself; Enter the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice X Lush collaboration!

Today I am reviewing, The Bob Bath Bomb, I was lucky enough to receive one in the post from Lush a few weeks ago.

The Bob bath bomb is based on a character with a bright blue shrunken head, he isn’t in the first film very much at all. I admit, I haven’t had a chance to watch the new film yet so my only knowledge of him is as the very memorable extra from the franchise’s first film.

Bob is probably the strangest looking bath bomb that I’ve ever seen from Lush. Its design screams Tim Burton, with its slightly distressed looking, huge and very round white eyes. It also has a caved-in nose with two slits for nostrils, a small patch of black on its top, representing Bob’s sparse hair and a row of black teeth that are set in a way that makes him look like he’s grimacing.

Each of the, The Bob bath bombs are approximately 190g each fitting snuggly in my hand.

If you remember and liked the Flamingo Egg bath bomb, you’ll be pleased to know that Bob shares that bath bombs scent.

I can understand why people who haven’t seen either of the Bettlejuice films may think that the Bob bath bomb is the scariest and most peculiar character they have ever seen. Some may even question why Lush made a bath bomb of its head over so many other Bettlejuice things.

While I haven’t seen the new film YET, I have heard that Bob is a very lovable character that becomes very significant in the telling of the Bettlejuice universes story.

The Bob bath bomb contains some of the following ingredients, labdanum resinoid, Sicilian lemon oil and vetivert oil.

Its scent is best described as one of Lush’s tamer Lush-scent-families, it’s powdery, sweet and has an earthy, warm undertone to it. The Sicilian lemon oil adds a zesty lightness to the overall scent that leaves you feeling uplifted and refreshed. Some describe it as being quite similar to banana foam sweets which ties in with the films Banana Boat song.

As soon as the Bob bath bomb touches your bath water, you are greeted with an explosion of bright blue foam. It doesn’t take very long at all for the water to completely take over the bath bomb as it slowly spins around your bath sending its blue fizz all over.

What I wasn’t expecting after about two minutes of the bath bomb being in the water was an explosion of bright pink foam in amongst all of the blue!

My photos in this review do not showcase the Bob bath bombs true bath art potential at all. Where I wasn’t really expecting any bath art, it made using it that little bit more exciting, especially when you factor in that pink is my all-time favourite colour.

It took about four minutes for The Bob bath bomb to fully dissolve, and the water left behind is a blueish shade of purple.

The scent remains on your skin for a good few hours after exiting the bath and it leaves your skin soft too. Overall, I am very impressed with this bath bomb, it has reminded me of the important lesson of never judging a book by its cover.

Cherry Pop Shower Gel from Lush

At the time of writing this review, the Cherry Pop Shower Gel has only ever been available in September 2024’s Lush Kitchen subscription box.

It was my favourite item from subscription box 52 and it seems a lot of customers feel the same way. It has proven very popular within the Lush community, so popular that I think Lush are starting to regret not making it a part of their 2024 Halloween line.

Spoiler alert… I LOVE the Cherry Pop shower gel; I have my fingers crossed that it one day becomes a main line shower gel, or at the very least, that Lush release it in a limited edition drop. It’s a crime that I only have one bottle. 🙁


We’ve had a lot of brand new shower gels this year, Super Milk, Posh Chocolate and Fiona being the ones that first come to mind, BUT none of them have been quite as irresistible as the Cherry Pop shower gel!

The Cherry Pop shower gels fragrance is a brand new Lush scent. To me, the scent of Cherry Pop is the truest to the actual scent of cherries that Lush has ever created.

Some of the ingredients contained in the Cherry Pop shower gel are, cherry infusion, organic agave syrup, balsamic vinegar, labdanum resinoid, cinnamon leaf oil, lime oil and almond essential oil.

Earlier I said that the Cherry Pop shower gel is the truest to the actual scent of cherries that Lush has ever created. It doesn’t however smell of just cherries. It’s sweet with a tarty undertone, it smells just like the taste of those sugar coated, sour cherry sweets.

The best thing about the Cherry Pop shower gel is its unique colour, or should I say colours? – In the bottle the Cherry Pop shower gel looks dark green but as you pour the shower gel out, it becomes a shade of dark, cherry red.

I’m not 100% on the science behind it, it could very well just be an optical illusion but the unique way it appears to change colour had me very excited. Some people get excited over cars, others bird watching; Me? I get excited about Lush products! 😋

Consistency wise the Cherry Pop shower gel is quite thick but still very easy to get out of the bottle.

It lathers up easily and is super hydrating on your skin, it turns into a white almost foam-like-paste that when mixed with water, cleanses my body effortlessly.

Mixed in with the steam and hot-shower-water the scent really takes over your bathroom, it’s delicious. I hope Lush not only make this shower gel available in stores but also bring out other products that share its same cherry based scent. The idea of a body spray equivalent is making me salivate!

Once out of the shower the Cherry Pop scent remains on your skin for a good few hours, Overall, I am obsessed with this shower gel. It’s one of my favourite products to come out of not just 2024 but all 52 of the Lush Kitchen Subscription boxes so far!
