Over the last 12 to 18 months Lush have given several of their much loved products complete face lifts. Some Lushies (me especially) do not bode well to such drastic changes, I however always trust Lush’s decisions and no matter how many tweaks or changes are made to a product I vow to always give it a go with an open mind.
The Think Pink Bath Bomb is one of Lush’s most recent renovation projects, released at last months Lush Summit (Feb 2017) it is not only bigger than the original Think Pink bath bomb but also very different in appearance. The new Think Pink flaunts a beautiful shimmery exterior with a twisty almost vine like pattern etched on its outside.
Appearance wise, the only thing that the two have in common is their pink colour. As for its scent, it isn’t quite the same as the older version, it has a much more mature tone and I feel its fragrance carries itself better. I will admit to missing the flower decorations on top of the older Think Pink, I however decided to think of the new Think Pink as a brand new product instead of an update.
As soon as the Think Pink bath bomb touches the water a huge burst of hot pink foam erupts from it, slowly but surely it then begins to spin around the bath creating pretty swirls in 2 shades of pink. At this point the bath bombs scent gently fills the bathroom and the Think Pink’s delightfully relaxing properties begin to work their magic.
I’m not 100% sure of the new Think Pink bath bombs full ingredients list so this whole paragraph may be subject to change in the near future. I believe it’s made of a list of ingredients that are very alike those used in the original version of the Think Pink bath bomb.
There is something so comforting about Think Pinks scent, the new version is so much more powerful than the previous and that’s saying a lot as I am a huge fan of the original. As soon as you sink yourself into a Think Pink bath a feeling of relaxation hits you and as for the mesmerising bath art, I need say no more.
Lush, I am sorry I doubted you again, I completely freaked out when I found out Think Pink had been transformed. I LOVE the new version, I do however miss the originals flower decorations and even more so the confetti hearts that are hidden inside. Both versions are favourites for me and as happy as I am to be presented with such a fantastic new bath bomb, I am really going to miss the older version.
Pushing my disappointment of losing the original version to one side, I still can’t wait for the new Think Pink bath bombs to hit stores. There’s no official date yet but I have heard through several reliable sources that we won’t be made to wait much longer!
