Love Me Do Bath Bomb from Lush

The Love Me Do Bath Bomb is a brand-new product from Lush’s 2021 Valentine’s Day collection. As you can clearly see from its picture, Love Me Do isn’t your average bath bomb as it is wrapped in a fully compostable muslin cloth…

With the Love Me Do bath bomb being wrapped it means you can enjoy the dry red-rose-petals that are hidden within it without the fear of clogging up your pipes with the bits of flowers that could end up going down your plug hole when the bath drains. It is also a huge bonus for those customers that dislike any ‘bits’ floating around in the bath with them. Put simply, you get all of the benefits from the ingredients without the mess!

The Love Me Do bath bomb contains a list of floral ingredients, there’s ylang-ylang and lavender oils, rose absolute and the aforementioned dried red-rose-petals. The tag and raffia-chord can both be composted too.

Scent-wise the Love Me Do bath bomb is the epitome of romance, it’s a fresh and powdery rose and lavender blend with entwined notes of ylang-ylang. If anyone got me a bunch of flowers for Valentine’s Day, I’d be very happy if the bouquet smelt like the Love Me Do bath bomb!

As soon as the Love Me Do bath bomb hits the water you are greeted with a hiss of bubbles. Love Me Do is incredibly pigmented, the water starts to immediately turn a deep-plumb-red and the powdery-floral-fragrance fills your bathroom, instantly relaxing you.

If you’re looking for bath art the Love Me Do bath bomb wouldn’t be a good choice of bath bombs to go for, what it however lacks in bath art, it well makes up for with its scent and how it makes your skin feel – I’ll talk a bit more about that later, *spoiler alert* it’s the best bit about this bath bomb…

After the Love Me Do bath bomb has fully dissolved all that’s left in the muslin cloth are the dried flower pieces. I’m not sure if the heat of the water and the petals combined make any difference to your bathing experience (like the seaweed in the Big Blue bath bomb softens the water) but I left the muslin cloth in the water right up until I pulled the plug anyway.

As promised here is a paragraph or 2 of my favourite thing about the Love Me Do bath bomb, HOW AMAZING MY SKIN FELT AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE BATH. I wasn’t expecting results quite like this at all, I’d always thought most Lush bath bombs left my skin looking and feeling brighter but the Love Me Do bath bomb is a game changer, my skin felt incredible. Hydrated, refreshed, brighter and silky-smooth.

Overall, I am really impressed with the Love Me Do bath bomb; I hope it comes back for the Valentine’s Day collection for years to come!

Angels Delight Bath Bomb from Lush

If you’re like me and are not a huge fan of the Winter products that are in-your-face Christmas, the Angels Delight Bath Bomb would be a good choice for you.

It’s an eye-catching and bright hot pink bath bomb decorated with a yellow half-moon. Its easy-on-the-eye design reminds me ever so slightly of the old Shoot for the Stars bath bomb from Lush Christmas lines many years ago.

The Angels Delight bath bomb is the same size as the Butterball bath bomb so is on the smaller size. Throughout the years I have however learnt to never judge a bath bomb on its look and size alone.

After how impressed I was with another smaller bath bomb from this years Christmas range, the Tick-Tock bath bomb I couldn’t wait to see how Angels Delight performed in the bath.

Angels Delight has a sweet, citrus fruit fragrance. Containing both orange and tangerine oils it’s the perfect bath bomb if you’re in need of a Winter pick me up. Its scent is uplifting, refreshing and an energy boost all rolled into one.

It’s fragrance actually really reminds me of sunny holidays making it the perfect Winter escape. Perfect if you’re feeling the lockdown blues.

As soon as the Angels Delight bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with an explosion of pink, thick foam.

Even though Angels Delight is small, it’s a relatively slow fizzer. With it being so small I was expecting a very small amount of bath art BUT as it spins, floating around the waters surface, pinks, maroons, yellows and oranges spindles out of it creating bright and beautiful swirling patterns galore.

My photographs in this review do the Angels Delight bath bomb no justice at all. I’m still a little in shock at how much bath art this tiny bath bomb created. It puts some of the larger bath bombs to shame.

The saying that all good things come in small packages has never been a more accurate statement!

Once the Angels Delight bath bomb is fully dissolved the water left behind is a bright, bright orange. I couldn’t help but take a photo of it, it really is like a bath full of liquid sun shine.

The water left behind is silky smooth and super hydrating. Once out of the bath my dry Winter skin was noticeably brighter and most of its dryness had gone. Its uplifting scent also remained on my skin for the best part of the rest of the day too.

Overall I am really impressed with the Angels Delight bath bomb, please don’t let its smaller size trick you into thinking it wouldn’t be as good as some of the bigger ones Lush have on offer.

I will most certainly be grabbing a few more of these before the Christmas stock retires at the end of the year!

Celebrate Body Spray from Lush

Celebrate Body Spray.png
When I first heard whispers saying that a Celebrate Body Spray was being released I had my fingers and toes crossed hoping it wasn’t more fake news.

Thankfully it wasn’t a lie and it really was released. I did not uncross my fingers until it was officially announced. I wanted a bottle or 3 that much!

For almost 5 years I had been begging Lush on social media to please, please, please release another round of Celebrate perfumes or even better, a Celebrate scented body spray…

Lush’s Celebrate scent-family is a firm favourite of mine. Luckily for me it features in several Lush products so I am never without it completely. The Golden Wonder bath bomb, Bubbly shower gel and Snowshowers shower jelly are names of just a few products that share the Celebrate scent.

I had run out of my Celebrate perfume about 3 years prior to this body sprays original release last Winter (2019) so I’ll admit I was getting very desperate for a new bottle. A lady should never be without her signature scent after all!

With Celebrate being such a popular scent, when the body spray was finally released it was very well received, not just by me but by the Lush Community too. The scent seems to work in whatever product format Lush make it into, it’s perfect.

Celebrate body spray contains cognac, Brazilian orange and lime oils. Its scent is a refreshingly-festive mix of warm, citrusy bubbles. Just one squirt of the Celebrate body spray leaves you smelling gorgeous all day.

It literally smells of happiness, even just a quick whiff of it always puts a smile on my face. I spray it all over myself, it works well on just my skin, sprayed on my clothes and even in my hair. Winter is never the same without it but the scent works perfectly for all seasons; I rock it all year through.

I’d go as far as to say that I actually prefer the Celebrate body spray over the perfume, The body spray has lasted much longer than the liquid perfume did. It has also gone a lot further making it much better value for money. I am so happy to have my signature scent back and will be grabbing another bottle this Winter!
