Passion Bath Bomb from Lush

Today I am reviewing the brand-new Passion Bath Bomb from Lush’s 2024 World Bath Bomb Day collection.

Much like the Thermal Waves bath bomb from the same collection, Passion has such striking colours that it demands your immediate attention.

The Passion bath bomb is a swirling mix of hot pink, red and yellow. As soon as I had the bath bomb in my possession, I couldn’t wait to give it a go.

The Passion bath bomb contains buchu, litsea cubeba and sweet wild orange oils.

It shares its scent with several past products including, the Passion shower gel, Cyclops bubble barSpongeBob bath bomb and also the Tropical Co-Mingle body scrub.

Lush describe the Passion bath bomb as ‘mouth-wateringly juicy and fruity’. It’s a rich passion fruit like fragrance and the perfect pick-me-up. It reminds me of the Summer and long days on the beach.

Each of the Passion bath bombs are approximately 180g each fitting easily in my hand.

As soon as the Passion bath bomb comes into contact with your bath water there is an explosion of thick tropical coloured foam.

The hot pink, red and yellows of the bath bomb start to bleed into each other making it look like the Passion bath bomb also has lighter pink and orange colours in it too.

It doesn’t take long for the bath bomb to start spinning and creating the most gorgeous swirling bath art.

As always, the photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all, the colours that spill out of the Passion bath bomb are so bright and bold. My camera couldn’t quite capture its true beauty.

The Passion bath bomb takes about 8 minutes to fully dissolve, the water left behind is a bright shade of orange and it’s super silky feeling.

Sat in its tropical waters, I feel like I am in a fish-bowl-cocktail and not a bathtub at all. I don’t think a bath bomb has ever made me want to be on a sunny holiday more!

The Passion bath bombs scent intensifies somewhat once it is in the bathtub, there’s just something about its scent and all of the colours that spill out of it that leaves me feeling happy.

Using the Passion bath bomb left my skin lightly fragranced and soft to the touch. I couldn’t help but notice how hydrated my skin felt and how much brighter it looked after using it too.

Overall, I am completely in love with the Passion bath bomb. I have thoroughly enjoyed every bath bomb from the World Bath Bomb day release that I have tried so far but the Passion bath bomb, has really made a lasting impression on me.

It’s beautiful scent and array of Summery colours has made this bath bomb one of my all-time favourites!

Human Rights Showder from Lush

The Human Rights Showder is Lush’s latest charity product. All of the money (minus VAT) from the sales of this product goes to support the vital work of EachOther, a small UK-focused charity that uses independent journalism, storytelling and film making to tell the stories that would otherwise go unheard.

The Human Rights showder is raising awareness that in the UK, the essential human rights that we all rely on to protect us are under threat. Our rights exist to protect us all from persecution and safeguard the most marginalised members of our society.

Here’s a direct link to the EachOther Instagram page (EachOtherUK) so you can get a better idea on what Lush and Eachother are trying to achieve together. The UK are currently up against potentially being pulled out of the European Court of Human Rights, something that I believe shouldn’t even be up for discussion.

Thank you to Lush for sending me out a box of this so that I could be a part of the campaign. As a disabled woman the idea behind losing any more than I already have, terrifies me.

For anyone who hasn’t experienced a Lush showder before, I suspect you’re wondering what a showder even is… A showder is quite simply a shower-powder. To use a showder all you have to do is take a handful of the powder from its box, then add water.

The Showder then foams up and creates a lovely thick lather. The reaction is not dissimilar to how a bath bomb reacts when it first gets wet. Once you have it all mixed up, you use it just as you would a shower gel.

Human Rights is a sky blue colour, just like its box. It shares its scent with Salt Water Soother bath bomb and contains a mixture of extra virgin coconut, peppermint, eucalyptus and spearmint oil. Its scent is super uplifting, using it in the morning gives me a real boost.

Scent wise, the most dominant of the oils in the Human Rights showder that I can smell are the spearmint and eucalyptus. Before now, I have reviewed showders and mentioned how impractical a carboard boxed product is for the shower.

However, the Human Rights showder seems to be in a much easier to handle box than previous showders. While you still can’t keep the box in the shower with you, getting a small amount of the showder out is a lot easier to do now, I now just grab a small handful before I jump in the shower. All you need to do is tip a little out into your hand.

As showders go, I was surprised at how far the showder powder goes, normally I’d have to use quite a lot of showder to get a decent lather but the Human Rights showder foams up quickly and creates a soft yet scrubby foam that not only cleans your skin but leaves your skin feeling cool too.

I am going to be taking full advantage of this showders cooling properties and energy boosting fragrance when Summer finally arrives!

Nae Stressie Bath Bomb from Lush

The Nae Stressie Bath Bomb has been on my list of must-try-Lush-products ever since the new Lush Glasgow store opened.

At the time of writing this review it is available only from one store in the whole world and a few weeks ago I finally got to pay Scotland and that one store in the world, (Lush Glasgow) a visit.

The Nae Stressie bath bomb is in the shape of the Loch Ness Monster, a mythical creature that is said to live in the Loch Ness up in the Scottish Highlands.

I’m yet to visit Loch Ness but I hope I get the chance to one day, for now the Nae Stressie bath bomb will have to do.

I was terrified that Nae Stressie wouldn’t be in stock after driving all of that way.

Thankfully, the bath bomb is one of the stores bestsellers, several stacks of them were on every shop floor, pride of place!

I was surprised at how big the Nae Stressie bath bomb was, you can see just how big it is by comparing it to my hand in the photo below.

Nae Stressie is a character bath bomb, I love and hate bath bombs with faces because I always find them near on impossible to use.

Nae Stressie is super cute, with four little legs, a long neck and a super chilled almost sassy look on her face.

Nae Stressie contains fine sea salt, popping candy, pine oil, benzoin resinoid, fir needle absolute and tagetes oil.

You’ll recognise the scent of Nae Stressie if you are familiar with the Fresh As shower gelRad Dad shower gel and Wild Remedy bath bomb.

Nae Stressie’s scent instantly relaxes me, it’s refreshing, very outdoorsy, rich and herbaceous.

As I said earlier, the Nae Stressie bath bomb is almost too cute to use but I’d heard great things about the bath art it created so I took Nae Stressie for a swim…

As Nae Stressie comes in to contact with your bath water there is an explosion of cold but beautiful colours; you get blue, purple and turquoise bubbles spilling out of it.

It doesn’t take long for the bubbles to thicken up into a thin layer of foam, creating bath art as it floats around. The colours that burst out of this bath bomb remind me of a peacock.

It doesn’t take long for the popping candy to make itself known, causing little popping noises as the bath bomb slowly dissolves.

It took the Nae Stressie bath bomb just under 10 minutes to fully dissolve, the popping candy carried on popping away for a good 15 minutes. Inside, is a surprise poem, as seen in the photo above.

The water left behind was silky smooth and a deep dark shade of blue. Overall, I loved the Nae Stressie bath bomb and regret not picking up more.

It created the most beautiful bath art, and its scent alone leaves me feeling relaxed. My skin soaked in all of this bath bombs goodness and left me feeling and smelling fresh.

The only thing I dislike about it is that it’s only available in one shop in the world. It is so beautiful, I wish more people could enjoy it!
