Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar from Lush

In 2021 Lush have released more new bubble bars than I can keep up with, none of them have however got me quite as excited as the Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar. Cinnamon Roll is a part of 2021’s Winter line and is set to be released in stores and online at the end of September.

The Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is the same size as the, The Comforter, Brightside and Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bubble bars, HUGE! One of the very first items that I ever bought from Lush was the, The Comforter bubble bar. I picked it because it was so big and because I loved the idea that it was a product that could be spread out over several baths as opposed to a bath bomb being just for one.

Cinnamon Roll’s larger size is not the only thing that it has in common with the 3 big bubble bars that I mentioned above, it’s also made in the same way. The red and gold bubble bar mixtures are rolled together hence the ‘roll’ in its name.

If you’d like to see some behind-the-scenes footage from the Lush Factory and for better insight on how Lush make their products be sure to check out @lushsneakypeeks on Instagram. (Watching the videos are much better than me trying to explain it…)

The Cinnamon Roll bubble bar contains, benzoin resinoid, cinnamon powder and the following essential oils; Cinnamon leaf, clove leaf, lime, Brazilian orange and patchouli. Its scent is very similar to the scent of cola bottle sweets but with a warm and sweet cinnamon-rich twang.

Another product with the same scent as the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is the Hot Toddy shower gel. The Hot Toddy shower gel is yet another Winter product that I love, which is another reason as to why I was so excited about the release of the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar.

The ingredients in both the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar and Hot Toddy shower gel are super warming on the skin making them the perfect product to use for aches and pains, something I suffer with daily.

As I said earlier the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is on the larger side, I’m not shy when it comes to being greedy with my bubble bars and I always overindulge but if I was being sensible, I could easily get 7 or 8 generously bubbled baths out of just the one Cinnamon Roll bubble bar. I am shocked at how far the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar goes.

To use I break up the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar and stick however many pieces I want into a sieve before running it under the tap. Copious amounts of bubbles begin to build up in the bath immediately, I have never experienced a bubble bar like it!

Underneath the vastly growing blanket of bubbles the water turns a dark, wine-red with a beautiful sparkly-golden shimmer.

When it comes down to my never-ending fight with widespread chronic pain, the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is even better than when I use the Hot Toddy shower gel. I have never felt more relaxed, and my joints have never felt better soothed as they do when I’m marinating myself in a Cinnamon Roll bubble bath. It’s heaven in a bathtub!

The scent and its magical-warming-properties really hits you as soon as you sink yourself into its waters. It just seeps through to your muscles soothing both your body and state-of-mind.

With the Summer weather finally coming to an end and with Autumn already well underway I cannot get enough of the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar.

Do I recommend giving it a go? YES. I hope with all of my heart that Lush releases this bubble bar every Winter from now on. Sadly the Winter bubble bars are often only one hit wonders but the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is exactly what has been missing in the Winter line for several years, Lush would be crazy to not make it a staple Winter product from here on out.

Turmeric Latte Bath Bomb from Lush

The Turmeric Latte Bath Bomb first came out back in 2019. At the time it was one of the many limited-edition bath bombs released in the celebration of 30 years since the invention of the bath bomb. Since its initial release, it has become a main line product and is still readily available at the time of writing this review.

As someone who doesn’t consume caffeine in any form whatsoever, I cannot personally vouch for this bath bomb being just like an actual turmeric latte. I have however heard from a very reliable source that its scent is very similar to a turmeric latte but with ‘an extra super-sweet twist’.

The Turmeric Latte bath bomb contains a long list of carefully selected ingredients; Each have been put together in the perfect quantities to create warm and inviting, velvety-smooth, turmeric latte-like bath water. All you have to do is simply plonk the bath bomb into your bath water – which is a lot less effort than making a fancy latte if you ask me!

The main ingredients in the Turmeric Latte bath bomb are tonka absolute, benzoin resinoid, vanilla absolute, coconut milk powder and turmeric powder. I know that many of Lush’s customers were over the moon to find out that the Turmeric Latte bath bomb contained coconut milk as it means it is 100% vegan.

As soon as the Turmeric Latte bath bomb hits the water you are greeted with an explosion of white and golden bubbles. If you like bath art then look no further… The Turmeric Latte bath bomb floats around the water surface creating swirls of delicate bath art, the shimmery golden bubbles are truly magnificent.

The subtle turmeric latte scent fills your bathroom as the bath bomb slowly dissolves. The Turmeric Latte bath bomb is a really slow fizzer so sit back, relax and watch its shimmery golden show.

Once the Turmeric Latte bath bomb has fully dissolved the water left behind is a beautiful shade of shimmering gold; It rivals the sparkly water created by the Golden Slumbers bath bomb which (if you’ve experienced both) you’ll know really is impressive.

My photos included in this post do the bath bomb no justice at all. It looks and smells absolutely gorgeous throughout your whole bath and makes for a truly extravagant-bathing-experience!

What really impressed me about the Turmeric Latte bath bomb was just how moisturising it is on your skin. I find most Lush bath bombs to be somewhat hydrating but Turmeric Latte leaves my skin smooth and soft to the touch, it would normally only usually appear and feel so hydrated if I also used a body lotion.

If you’re looking for a subtle scented bath bomb which is bound to impress, I would definitely recommend the Turmeric Latte bath bomb. It ticks all of the boxes for what I like in a bath bomb!

Follow The White Rabbit Bath Bomb from Lush

You may be awash with feelings of déjà vu when you look at the Follow The White Rabbit Bath Bomb for several reasons.

The first reason is how similar its design and colourings are to the Winter bath bomb favourite, Snowman Dreaming. The second and third being its mould is the exact same used for the Bouncy Bunny shower jelly and Spring Bunny bath bomb from Lush Easter lines of the past.

Ever since the aforementioned, Snowman Dreaming bath bomb was released a few Winters ago I have hoped Lush would do a similar bunny shaped bath bomb with the Bouncy Bunny scent and for Easter 2021, Lush did!

The Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb is a smaller sized Lush bath bomb, about the same size as an old-style Butterbear or old-style Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb, it fits snuggly in my hand.

All good things come in small packages and what Follow The White Rabbit lacks in size it well makes up for with its scent and performance in the water.

Containing a mix of buchu, bergamot and Sicilian lemon oils, the Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb has a wonderfully refreshing scent that is deliciously moreish. If you’re looking for a pick-me-up bath product, search no more. The Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb will put more than a spring in your step, a good soak in its citrus-waters will leave you cheery and uplifted.

As soon as the Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb comes into contact with water you are greeted with an explosion of colours. Pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, greens and blues shoot out of its left side leaving behind a rainbow-stream of bath bomb foam.

Even though the Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb is small, it’s a reasonably slow fizzer. Giving you more than enough time to appreciate the kaleidoscope of colourful bath art it creates. The bath art is out of this world, my photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all.

I enjoyed using the Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb so much that I immediately ordered 2 more straight after using it.

All good things must come to an end and once the Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb has fully dissolved, you are left with milky violet water that softens and lightly fragrances your skin.

Its scent remains on your skin for the best part of the rest of the day. I hope that one day Lush can create a body spray of the Follow The White Rabbit bath bombs fragrance, it’s perfect for the Spring but its wonderfully refreshing scent would work all year round.

The Follow The White Rabbit bath bomb is a must have from this years Easter line, if it doesn’t return year in, year out Lush will be in my bad books!
