Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb from Lush

I was literally so, so excited when the Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb was released again last Winter. Regrettably I never had, had the chance to try it in years previous. I am so glad that they brought it back for Winter 2015 and pray that it comes back again this Winter.

Packed with Lavender Oil and Tonka Absolute, the Luxury Lush Pud is perfect for winding down on a cold winters night. Sharing its scent with my very first Lush bath bomb, Twilight  I just couldn’t wait to get hold of one to try.

If you’re a Twilight fan then you will love this bath bomb to the moon and back, I like to refer to it as the Twilight bath bomb’s cool auntie.

After a stressful day a Luxury Lush Pud bath is all you need. Containing tonka absolute and lavender oil, Lush describe the Luxury Lush Pud as the ‘perfect dessert for your skin’.

Its cocktail of various essential oils are perfect at helping you wind down after a long, hard day. The scent itself stays with you throughout the evening and even lasts on your skin for most of the next day. Not only do you benefit from its beautifully subtle scent hours and hours after using it, you also get soft, smooth and gloriously hydrated skin.

As soon as the Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb is put in the bath water the show of colours and relaxing, lavender and tonka scent begin to work their magic. Colour-wise I think the Luxury Lush Pud is the best out there. The likes of The Experimenter and Intergalactic are close seconds but the Luxury Lush Pud is hands down the best.

There is something so enchanting about the Luxury Lush Pud, the photos speak for themselves. It is a very slow fizzer which is all the better as I always manage to get such an amazing amount of photos whenever I use it.

Blue, green, yellow, pink and orange galore it is more than mesmerising. No matter how many times I use it, I can’t help but take some photos.

Even once all of the bath bomb has dissolved you are still surrounded with pretty streaks of rainbow colour. I can never bring myself to get out until it’s got so cold that I HAVE to. It is just so relaxing. Your mind, body and soul feel so soothed, it is like you soak up all of its magic, it is paradise in a bath tub.

I cannot even put into words how essential this bath bomb is for my life. I am and always will stock up on the Luxury Lush Pud every Winter from now on. That is providing they bring it back for Winter 2016?! I am however pretty confident that they will.

Ylang Song Bath Bomb from Lush

ylang song bath bomb

When I first got hold of the Oxford Street exclusive bath bomb Ylang Song, I wasn’t that excited. I have however said many times before and I will say it again now, never judge a bath bomb until you’ve seen it in the bath tub!

Ylang Song pronounced Yee-lang song has a very simple design, it is a brilliant white with one dried purple flower on its top. Although very plain I can’t help but think that it gives off a majestic vibe.

I love a big bath bomb and Ylang Song is more than reasonably sized. I am not quite sure where I plucked the majestic word from, it’s just such a refreshing white and has such a plain, uncomplicated design. Its royal-purple flower top just makes me think of Snow White.

I tend to favour the fruitier variety of bath bombs like Lava Lamp, Fizzbanger and Dragon’s Egg, it was because of this that I was a little weary of Ylang Song. Be that as it may, when I first had Ylang Song in my hands I found it to have a scent I actually quite liked. My doubt was long gone and I couldn’t wait to put Ylang Song in the bath!

I want to say that the Ylang Song’s scent is primarily floral, a mixture of ylang ylang and neroli oil along with the rose absolute gives the scent of this bath bomb a perfect level of added depth, this depth adds a zest to the traditional rose scent making Ylang Song unique in comparison to the products I would normally go for.

The first time I ever tried a Ylang Song bath bomb I wished that I had been recording its reaction in the bath water.  At first it was rather dull, spitting out frothy white bubbles as it charged around my bath tub, the one purple flower that was on its top was now abandoned, floating around all by itself looking very lost in such a big bath space. Just as I was about to write the Ylang Song bath bomb off, everything turned green!

The only way I could describe it is that it looks like the bath bomb throws up. (video footage available here.)

Once the Ylang Song ‘threw up’ lots of multi-coloured petals also burst out of it, they floated delicately around in my bath tub, I felt like a Disney princess. The water was so silky and moisturising, my skin normally quite dehydrated was now refreshed and revived.

If you’re an in-and-out of the bath with no fuss type of Lushie then this bath bomb is a relatively good choice as it doesn’t really need rinsing out after.

I personally always have the bath rinsed out after any bath. Bath bomb or not as I’m a bit of a clean-freak, however I do understand that some people just don’t have the time. The petals are real petals so don’t dissolve or anything, obviously this is a little inconvenient however they were easy enough to collect up ready to be placed in the bin before pulling out the plug.

Every time I get a chance to visit Lush Oxford Street I now stock up on the Ylang Song bath bomb, sometimes the most basic looking products turn out to be the very best.

Frozen Bath Bomb from Lush

It blows my mind that the Frozen Bath Bomb was originally only available from Lush’s Oxford Street store. When Lush announced that it would become a staple store product in all stores and online I was well and truly over the moon.

I’m Disney mad (yes I do have other obsessions away from Lush.) Can you imagine the sheer level of excitement beaming out of me when I first found out about the Frozen bath bomb? A Lush product inspired by a much loved Disney film is in my personal princess-obsessed-opinion, the best idea that Lush have ever come up with.

I knew upon the release of this bath bomb that I needed to get my hands on it as soon as possible. I would have literally done anything to get it and eventually I DID! all of my thanks goes to a Lush Oxford Street employee that went above and beyond to help me get my hands them. Thank you so much Bella!

The Frozen bath bomb is a soft, pastel-blue colour with a darker blue streak through it. I guess you could describe it as having a snazzy, dark blue belt. The colours are iconic to the film, I cannot express how happy this bath bomb makes me, I’m a loser I know but it is just so beautiful.

If  you’re a fan of the Disney film with the same name, you’d know just from the bath bombs colours that it is inspired by the main character, Queen Elsa’s beautiful icy-blue dress. Although the Frozen bath bomb has a fairly simple design, it is in my personal opinion one of the prettiest Lush bath bombs that I have ever seen on face value and in action.

I obviously had no idea what this product even smelt like back when it was only an Oxford Street exclusive. I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t like its scent as some Lush products simply  don’t get on with my nose. There was however no need to fret, this refreshing, solid ball of magic did not disappoint my delicate-princess nose at all.

I have tried to explain the scent so many times and even over a year since its release I still cannot find the right words. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious doesn’t even touch upon it.

The grapefruit and neroli oil in the Frozen bath bomb both work beautifully together. Neroli oil is actually scientifically proven to increase the levels of serotonin in the brain. For the likes of you and me, that means that the use of neroli oil increases the production of the happy hormone! maybe that is why the Frozen bath bomb has such a positive affect on me?

In theory, I should not like the scent of this bath bomb AT ALL, I have never been a huge fan of grapefruit and I would actually go as far to say that I despise grapefruit. Frozen has however changed my opinion on it. The bath bomb’s scent is both refreshing and uplifting, I cannot get enough of it.

The magic of the Frozen bath bomb however only truly starts when it is placed in your bath water. Every time I use the Frozen bath bomb I  fall even more in love with it, every swirl of pattern it makes is unique and I always find myself mesmerised by its beauty and graceful movement.

The first time I tried it I literally couldn’t stop taking photos, I can remember being kick-your-self gutted as half way through using it my iPad’s memory became full. BOO!

I don’t take the greatest of photos, my hands are very shaky as well as having poor grip. How I have never dropped my camera in the bath is a miracle, I have actually insured all of my gadgets for water damage so although I’d scream the house down it wouldn’t be the end of the world.

It is a shimmery bath bomb, once upon a time I actually used to avoid the shimmery Lush products as, as much as I love all things sparkly, the thought of it being all over my body and potentially in my eyes freaked me out, before I knew about the Frozen bath bomb I voiced my fear of bath bomb glitter to the sales assistant in my local store.  (I think we were talking about Space Girl.)

She reassured me that no Lush product contains ‘glitter, glitter’, it’s more of a light cosmetic shimmer, hearing this, I tried some of the shimmery, natural-mica-based bath bombs and haven’t looked back. I did not look like I had lost a fight with a fairy, it really was just a light dusting of shimmer similar to the soft shimmer you find in some makeup such as bronzer or cream eye shadows.

The Frozen bath bomb is absolutely perfect, if Lush ever discontinued it I will be very sad to see it go. To this day I don’t think there has been another bath bomb from Lush that is as truly beautiful in use.

Blue is far from my favourite colour but there is just something so spellbinding about the light and blue bath art that the Frozen bath bomb creates.

I can swish around the water, watching the shimmer sparkle away after Frozen has fully dissolved well after the water has grown cold. It feels almost criminal when you pull the plug…
