Thundersnow Bath Bomb from Lush

Photo 14-03-2017, 22 11 41The Thundersnow Bath Bomb is yet another product that was originally exclusive to February 2017’s Lush Summit. As soon as the Summit doors opened, photographs of this new and very interesting looking bath bomb were plastered all over Instagram. Up until the Lush Creative Showcase 2017, the Summit was the only place the Thundersnow bath bomb was available. I have updated this review today as the Thundersnow bath bomb is now a part of Lush’s Winter 2017 line.

Thundersnow is the average sized Lush bath bomb, it has a teal and pastel green striped decor that (in my opinion) resembles a watermelon. It however much like the Melomint bubble bar has nothing to do with a watermelon.

Thundersnow has a very gentle, creamy mint fragrance. When bathing in it I couldn’t help but feel as if who ever created it drew inspiration from the Abombinaball, Intergalactic and Haagenbath bath bombs. It seems as if all of the things I love most about the aforementioned bath bombs have been taken out and placed into the Thundersnow bath bomb.

As soon as the Thundersnow bath bomb hits the water a wave of creamy mint fragrance hits you. Teal and pastel green foam froths out of it as it bobs around the waters surface,  it’s almost as if it is dancing in the water. After a short while, the Thundersnow bath bomb appears to have lost all of its colour, at this point it is a bright, crisp white.

The patterns that begin to form on top of the water remind me somewhat of the Frozen bath bomb. The water underneath the pretty patterns shimmers and feels silky soft to touch. Laying back in this bath is so incredibly relaxing, it is also soothing not only just on my skin but also my mind. Any tension that had built up over the day floats away.

I could be wrong but I think the below photo shows exactly why this bath bomb is called Thundersnow, it really does look like snow falling from the sky, it also appears to crackle apart on the surface of the water. I’ve never used a bath bomb quite like it before, it’s beautiful!

The effect it creates is very similar to that nail crackle effect that everyone was mad on about 10 years ago. Thundersnow also has popping candy in it which makes for a very interesting bath, snap, crackle and pop!

The Thundersnow bath bomb entertained all of my senses. It was not only visibly stunning but smelt and felt great too. My skin continued to glow hours and hours after getting out of the bath. The bath bombs scent also remained on my skin and it left me feeling so calm and chilled out right into the next day.

I am so pleased that Lush have made this bath bomb readily available through their current Winter line, it truly is a fantastic bath bomb that needs to be experienced by Lushies all over!

Lush Creative Showcase 2017

DIgfKumW0AAYAll

Hey!

I will be attending the Lush Creative Showcase again this year, unfortunately I am having to travel 200 + miles on the train, in the wheelchair to be there so I can’t take much with me, (there won’t be any blog posts for the next few days as no laptop – sorry!)

I will however be updating my Instagram account as and when I can, keep your eyes peeled for all of the latest on the new products and Lush gossip on that, if you’re not following me on Instagram already I am, @LushUponATime.

If anyone else is attending too please come and say hi to me, I love everyone that checks in on my little blog and would love to have a chat with you!

I’ll be joining the Lush Creative Team in the Creative Media Lab on the Tuesday at 3-4.30pm, I’m just as nervous as I am excited… EEK!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to do pickups as I’m only able to take one small bag because of the wheelchair and travelling on the train. I’m really sorry as I know how frustrating it is to not be able to be somewhere that you really, really want to be.

Lots of love,

Lulu and Joey (the husband that tags along because he has no choice loves me) 😉

Chameleon Bath Bomb from Lush

Chameleon Bath BombThe Chameleon Bath Bomb from Lush Cosmetics is a bath bomb that was created way before I became a fully fledged Lushie, all proceeds of its sale went towards a campaign that was raising awareness on the cruel reality of domesticating wild animals such as the Chameleon. I had personally not heard of the bath bomb before but when the Lush Kitchen added it as a bonus product to their weekly menu last week, I couldn’t resist buying a few.

Containing grapefruit, mandarin and ylang ylang oil the Chameleon is yet another citrus fruit scented product. I know some customers are growing tired of the citrus products as of late but they are perfect for this particular time of year. There isn’t much left of Summer now… Luckily I can never get enough citrus and after just one sniff I fell deeply in love with the Chameleon bath bomb’s bright and cheerful scent.

Grapefruit, mandarin and ylang ylang oils are the perfect blend of essential oils to help uplift, recharge and brighten your mind, body and soul. As the Chameleon bath bomb dissolves in the water a wave of sweet orange scent dominates the room. After using it, I cannot express how much I enjoyed it just on scent alone. To date, the Chameleon bath bomb’s scent is my most favourite of all of the Lush products I have tried so far. A bold statement that I am more than happy to shout from the rooftops!

If you’re a fan of the recently discontinued Lava Lamp bath bomb‘s scent then the Chameleon bath bomb is right up your street, Lush appear to have taken the best parts of the Lava Lamp and Golden Wonder bath bombs scents and thrown it into the Chameleon bath bomb. Its scent is mouthwateringly good.

Due to the Chameleon bath bomb’s size (similar to the Rocket Science bath bomb) I thought it would be a very quick fizzer, although it is quick, it took longer to fizzle away than I had expected. As the Chameleon comes into contact with the water, a purple splash of colour spills out of it. Its shimmery green coating adds a glistening effect to your bath water, underneath the shimmery green coating the Chameleon is a bright pink.

The way the water sits once the Chameleon bath bomb has fully dissolved reminds me of the multi tonal water you get with the Magic bath bomb. Chameleon isn’t much of a bath bomb if you’re looking for out of this world Experimenter style bath art, it is however very pretty and when you lay back in its waters you can feel your worries melting away.

Overall I am truly dazzled by this bath bomb, its scent is irresistible, the fact it moisturises your skin so well is a huge bonus. Its scent stays on the skin hours and hours after using it. I am blown away by its scent and the longevity of its scent too. Lush really need to bring out more products with this bath bomb’s scent.

A body lotion, shower gel, or even a shampoo bar, just the idea of other products with the Chameleon scent leaves me salivating!
