Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar from Lush

In 2021 Lush have released more new bubble bars than I can keep up with, none of them have however got me quite as excited as the Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar. Cinnamon Roll is a part of 2021’s Winter line and is set to be released in stores and online at the end of September.

The Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is the same size as the, The Comforter, Brightside and Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bubble bars, HUGE! One of the very first items that I ever bought from Lush was the, The Comforter bubble bar. I picked it because it was so big and because I loved the idea that it was a product that could be spread out over several baths as opposed to a bath bomb being just for one.

Cinnamon Roll’s larger size is not the only thing that it has in common with the 3 big bubble bars that I mentioned above, it’s also made in the same way. The red and gold bubble bar mixtures are rolled together hence the ‘roll’ in its name.

If you’d like to see some behind-the-scenes footage from the Lush Factory and for better insight on how Lush make their products be sure to check out @lushsneakypeeks on Instagram. (Watching the videos are much better than me trying to explain it…)

The Cinnamon Roll bubble bar contains, benzoin resinoid, cinnamon powder and the following essential oils; Cinnamon leaf, clove leaf, lime, Brazilian orange and patchouli. Its scent is very similar to the scent of cola bottle sweets but with a warm and sweet cinnamon-rich twang.

Another product with the same scent as the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is the Hot Toddy shower gel. The Hot Toddy shower gel is yet another Winter product that I love, which is another reason as to why I was so excited about the release of the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar.

The ingredients in both the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar and Hot Toddy shower gel are super warming on the skin making them the perfect product to use for aches and pains, something I suffer with daily.

As I said earlier the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is on the larger side, I’m not shy when it comes to being greedy with my bubble bars and I always overindulge but if I was being sensible, I could easily get 7 or 8 generously bubbled baths out of just the one Cinnamon Roll bubble bar. I am shocked at how far the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar goes.

To use I break up the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar and stick however many pieces I want into a sieve before running it under the tap. Copious amounts of bubbles begin to build up in the bath immediately, I have never experienced a bubble bar like it!

Underneath the vastly growing blanket of bubbles the water turns a dark, wine-red with a beautiful sparkly-golden shimmer.

When it comes down to my never-ending fight with widespread chronic pain, the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is even better than when I use the Hot Toddy shower gel. I have never felt more relaxed, and my joints have never felt better soothed as they do when I’m marinating myself in a Cinnamon Roll bubble bath. It’s heaven in a bathtub!

The scent and its magical-warming-properties really hits you as soon as you sink yourself into its waters. It just seeps through to your muscles soothing both your body and state-of-mind.

With the Summer weather finally coming to an end and with Autumn already well underway I cannot get enough of the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar.

Do I recommend giving it a go? YES. I hope with all of my heart that Lush releases this bubble bar every Winter from now on. Sadly the Winter bubble bars are often only one hit wonders but the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar is exactly what has been missing in the Winter line for several years, Lush would be crazy to not make it a staple Winter product from here on out.

Orange Pop Bath Bomb from Lush

The Orange Pop Bath Bomb is set to be released at the end of September as a part of Lush’s 2021 Winter line. You may recognise its design from Winter lines of the past as Lush have used the same bath bomb mould (green leaf too) for Orange Pop as they did for their 2016 version of the So White bath bomb.

I decided to start my Winter 2021 bath bomb reviews with the Orange Pop bath bomb as it’s a product that doesn’t scream the C word. If you’ve read any of my past reviews on Winter products before, you’ll know how much I appreciate the Winter products that aren’t in-your-face Christmassy.

The Orange Pop bath bomb has a very simple ingredients list, Sicilian red mandarin, tangerine, Brazilian orange and bergamot oils with a generous, surprise helping of popping candy too.

You’ll recognise its scent from the bestselling and very much loved golden-oldie-Lush-product the Brightside bubble bar. I considered using both Brightside and Orange Pop together but the Orange Pop bath bomb is so powerful once in the water, I was super-glad that I didn’t.

If I am being honest (as I always am in my reviews) I really wasn’t expecting much from the Orange Pop bath bomb at all. Maybe because I had the Satsuma bath bomb from a past Christmas line in mind.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed using the Satsuma bath bomb but it just wasn’t very exciting compared to a lot of the other products on offer that year, it didn’t produce bath art and only really had a gentle citrus scent. I couldn’t have been more wrong in comparing the 2 together, Orange Pop is nothing at all like the Satsuma bath bomb, NOTHING AT ALL.

The Orange Pop’s scent isn’t too strong when you are handling it, that however soon changes when you put it in to your bath water. As soon as you drop the Orange Pop bath bomb into your bath water you are greeted with that super-satisfying hiss and a burst of super-sweet orange scent that takes over your bathroom.

Orange Pop isn’t hugely foamy; Small, light orange and green bubbles sizzle out of it as it slowly rolls around the water’s surface. It continues like this for the first 3 to 5 minutes before the green bubbles disappear completely, only leaving you with the light orange bubbles.

When I first used Orange Pop, it was at this point that I thought, oh, that’s it, show’s over. Then all of a sudden, a huge explosion of red erupted from the Orange Pop bath bomb.

When the Orange Pop bath bomb’s surprise red insides decide to make an appearance the popping candy also starts to snap, crackle and pop too! What I thought was going to be a relatively dull bath bomb just got way more exciting!

I took so many photos of the swirling red and orange bath art created by the Orange Pop bath bomb, none of them do this bath bomb justice. It’s a bath bomb you must experience for yourself.

If you miss the Christmas Sweater bath bomb like me, Orange Pop’s bath art is on par with it and features the same gorgeous colours too!

Orange Pop takes about 10 minutes to fully dissolve, once the popping candy has stopped, you are left with smooth and super-soft blood-orange bath water. Once out of the bath my skin felt so silky. It really seemed to perk the appearance of my skin up, it became much brighter and it was lovely and hydrated too.

Overall I really, really did enjoy using the Orange Pop bath bomb, its lovely scent remained on my skin for the rest of the day – (although thankfully, it is a lot more subtle on your skin than how it is in the bath!)

I am so excited for the Orange Pop bath bomb to hit the shops at the end of September, I really do believe that it’s going to sell very well and I will certainly be buying a few more to use too.

Golden Pineapple Lip Scrub from Lush

The Golden Pineapple Lip Scrub is set to be released at the end of September as a part of Lush’s 2021 Winter line.

Pineapple is one of my favourite fruits and not just to eat. I love it in decor too, right now, I have pineapples on my bedding, pineapple photo frames  on my wall and even a pineapple light. Pineapples feature in one way or another in every room of my house so naturally I was very excited when we first heard rumours about a new pineapple lip scrub.

The first thing that I noticed about the Golden Pineapple lip scrub was its snazzy label. It’s an eye-catching holographic gold, the label changes slightly depending on how the light hits it, I don’t think I have ever been as interested in a label before, it certainly makes a change from Lush’s normal-standard plain black and white labels.

When I first took off the lid and gave the Golden Pineapple lip scrub a sniff, I hadn’t looked at what ingredients it had in it. My nose immediately picked up on something a little spicy, within just a few seconds the sweet pineapple scent did however come through too. I quickly flipped the pot to see what ingredients it had in it as I wasn’t expecting a spicy element at all…

The Golden Pineapple lip scrub contains pineapple powder, yellow Mandarin oil, ginger absolute, golden caster sugar, ordinary caster sugar and plenty of organic jojoba oil and fair-trade shea butter. The ginger in it was the culprit for the slight spicy element and looking at the ingredients written down, I would never have thought to put pineapple and ginger together, but they both complement each other brilliantly.

The main ingredient in Lush’s lip scrubs is caster sugar. To this day I am still amazed that such a simple blend of natural ingredients can do such a thorough, yet gentle job of exfoliating your lips AND without drying them out. I love that the Golden Pineapple lip scrub is both warming and fruity, it’s the perfect Wintertime sugar scrub!

Using Lush lip scrubs requires the minimum amount of effort. They cover everything your lips need to always look their best. They are the perfect product to exfoliate dry, chapped lips and are also very good at softening and hydrating them at the same time. Exfoliating your lips has never been easier (or tastier) thanks to the Golden Pineapple. I will most certainly be keeping a pot of the Golden Pineapple lip scrub in my handbag throughout the whole of Winter. Dare I say Golden Pineapple is my new favourite Lush lip scrub? 😉

To use a Lush lip scrub all you have to do is scoop out a little with your finger and then buff your lips with it before licking off the excess. It’s easy enough to use on the go and the pot is small enough to have in your hand bag/purse too.

Another of my favourite things about the Golden Pineapple lip scrub is its colouring. It looks like it could be just a pot of golden caster sugar, I don’t think I have ever disliked a lip scrub from Lush but I do find that the more colourful ones such as the Unicorn and Galaxy lip scrubs, can leave an ever so subtle (but definitely noticeable) blue tinge on your lips, using less is more in the case of the Unicorn and Galaxy lip scrubs but when it comes down to the Golden Pineapple lip scrub, you can over indulge as much as you like without fear of turning your lips a different colour.

I am totally in love with the Golden Pineapple lip scrub, I can’t wait for it to hit the shops and I hope it sells well as it’s an absolutely perfect lip scrub that I’d love to see go mainline. The lip scrubs Lush keep creating just seem to be getting better and better! ❤️
