The Krang Shower Jelly is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s TMNT x LUSH collaboration.
The collaboration has included a TMNT themed Lush Kitchen Subscription Box and also a collection of online and in store products too.
The Krang shower jelly is from the online and in store collection. I was lucky enough to be sent a tin with him in, thank you again, Lush!
Krang is a supervillain in the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and what a scary looking supervillain he is. He’s a brain, with a face and has weird wormy bits which I think could be arms? I am just as terrified of him now as I was as a kid. Too terrified to even do a little research on him… Sorry!
I don’t think I was even this freaked out by a product when I had to review the Tarantula shower jelly a few years ago.
Yes, the Krang shower jelly is very scary looking but he smells delicious, so it didn’t take much convincing for me to share a shower with him!

The Krang shower jelly is the exact same product as the Conga shower jelly. It is just Krang shaped. It’s even the same light pink colour. Each of the Krang shower jellies are 150g each and strangely come in a tin.
Every other shower jelly I have ever got from Lush have been in the plastic pots so having it in a tin is a bit of a novelty, the tin has amazing art work on it too so I’ll definitely be keeping it.
The Krang shower jelly contains glycerine, Irish moss infusion, carrageenan extract, bergamot oil, davana oil, almond essential oil and vanilla absolute. Its scent reminds me of raspberries, it’s fruity and sweet with a sour twist.
With Krang being a novelty shaped shower jelly, I wondered how long it would last as unfortunately I find more often than not, that the novelty shaped jellies aren’t always as sturdy and robust as the normal, pot-shaped-ones.
As predicted, the Krang shower jelly did get a little flimsy after just a few uses. However, I’d rather use it and lose it than not use it at all. So far, I’ve used it 3 times and although it is showing a small amount of wear and tear, there’s plenty more of it to go around yet.

There is no right or wrong way to use a shower jelly, I prefer to use mine in the same way as you would a bar of soap, whole. Some people however chop their shower jellies up using a few pieces at a time, this is a good method if you’re sharing it with someone else.
If you do keep it whole, the Krang shower jelly is big enough to fit in your hand. Once you’ve used it simply rinse it off and then pop it back into the pot and put the lid back on.
The Krang shower jelly lathers up quickly so you’re not stuck lathering it in your hands for ages, I find this a real positive for shower jellies as they can be a little slippery.
I can see it lasting me maybe 6 or 7 more showers, potentially more. Although, I’m not sure for how much longer it will stay whole.
After using the Krang shower jelly my skin feels soft, clean, and completely refreshed. I also found the scent remained on my skin for a good few hours after using it although, it’s faint.
Once I got over my fear of ‘the brain with a face’ I had the shower of a lifetime with Krang. Overall, it is a very good product that fits into the TMNT world perfectly!
