Time to Relax Bath Bomb from Lush

The Time to Relax Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Mother’s Day line.

Time to Relax is not the average type bath bomb, it has been specifically designed so that it can be used over 3 baths, although most people (including myself) use it all in one, as it makes one truly epic bath!

The Time to Relax bath bomb is 3 different products in 1, the photo above is all of the bath bomb pieced together. The photos below show the bath bomb with its lid off, inside of it are red bath salts.

As I said earlier, I used all 3 parts of this product in one bath starting with tipping the red bath salt into the bath water as the bath was filling up.

I was really surprised at how quickly the red bath salt changed the colour of the water, the water very quickly turns a light shade of pink and a few bubbles are created too. The salt is mixed with little pieces of what looks like the strands that Lush make into their shampoo bars.

The bath salt not only turned the bath water light pink, it also left the bath water so incredibly soft.

Next, I placed the bath bomb back together again before putting the Time to Relax bath bomb into the water.

Upon putting it in to the water you are greeted with a burst of light blue foam. As the lighter blue part of the Time to Relax bath bomb is hollow it doesn’t take long for the darker blue lid-part of the bath bomb to come into contact with the water too.

Blue, dark purple, violet and pink foam slowly starts to create swirling patterns on the water’s surface, I wasn’t expecting so many colours at all, my photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all.

After about 5 minutes, all of the Time to Relax bath bomb has fully dissolved, and you are left with slightly purple tinged, dark blue coloured bath water.

Now that I have talked through how I personally used the Time to Relax bath bomb let’s get into its scent.

The Time to Relax bath bomb shares its scent with the Deep Sleep bath bomb. Its scent is both soothing and relaxing, this bath bomb really does live up to its name.

The Time to Relax bath bomb contains Epsom salts, lavender absolute and the following essential oils, lavender, chamomile blue and neroli. Scent-wise my nose mostly picks up on the lavender. It’s a very sweet and herbal scent.

As I said earlier, the Time to Relax bath bomb takes approximately 5 minutes to fully dissolve, bath salts included. Other Lush bath bombs that include sea salt such as the Geo Phyzz bath bomb have much bigger chunks of salt in them so can scratch your bottom when you first get in your bath.

Time to Relax bath bombs salt is a lot more gentle as it is Epsom salt, it seems to dissolve into your bath water long before you’ve even had a chance to check if any remnants of it still remain.

Laying back in the bath water left behind by the Time to Relax bath bomb is a true escape from the stresses of real life. It really does give you the chance to put some time aside just to relax.

The bath water is silky smooth, and my skin laps it up, upon getting out of the bath my skin feels and looks hydrated. The relaxing scent lasts on my skin for a good few hours after getting out of the bath too.

Overall, I really enjoyed some much needed me-time made even more enjoyable thanks to the Time to Relax bath bomb. I hope to see more Epsom salt-based products in Lush’s future!

Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar from Lush

The Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Mother’s Day line. This green and golden-yellow bubble bar was the first of this year’s Mother’s Day products to catch my attention, it is designed to look like a sliced-in-half avocado with a cute cartoon face.

You may recognise The Avo Cuddle bubble bars scent as it also features in the Avocado Wash shower gel and Melusine bath bomb.

The Avo Cuddle bubble bar is approximately 145g, and is relatively close to the size of an actual avocado.

The Avo Cuddle bubble bar contains lemongrass and bergamot oils, Lush’s website describe it as a ‘zesty hug in the tub’. Its scent is crazy refreshing, cheery and the fact it helps me wake up in the morning is nothing short of a miracle. I just can’t get enough of it. It’s the perfect scent to drag you out of Winter and lift you into Spring!

To use the Avo Cuddle bubble bar, I put broken up pieces of it into a sieve and let the running bath-water trickle over it. I find this the most effective way to use single use bubbles bars like Avo Cuddle.

This method is also the best way to ensure none of the bubble bar gets accidentally wasted and through trial and error, I have found that this method makes the most bubbles.

My favourite thing about Lush’s bubble bars is that (unlike the Lush bath bombs) they can be easily spread out over several baths. You could get 3 adequately bubbled bubble baths out of just the one Avo Cuddle bubble bar, although, I recommend trying to split it over just 2 to get the most out of it scent-wise.

I am sure using the whole thing for 1 bath would be an incredible bathing experience but with the cost-of-living crisis, if you can make a luxury product like this go a little further without it effecting the quality of your experience of it, it’s worth doing it.

It doesn’t take long for the blanket of fluffy white bubbles to form as you run the Avo Cuddle bubble bar under the tap. As the fluffy white bubbles build up, the water underneath slowly turns the most beautiful shade of electric-yellow, it glows! The Avo Cuddle scent fills your bathroom with the steam from the hot bath-water. It’s a very strongly scented bubble bar, it’s impossible to not feel energised around it.

The Avo Cuddle bubble bar leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and perfectly hydrated, I did not need to apply a body lotion or moisturiser after getting out of an Avo Cuddle bath.

The scent of the Avo Cuddle bubble bar remained in my bathroom long after the water went down the plug hole, it also lasted on my skin for a good 3 or 4 hours too.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the Avo Cuddle bubble bar, it’s cute, smells amazing and is generally a very good bubble bar, I believe it will be one of the most popular products from this year’s Mother’s Day range!

Tea Party Bath Bomb from Lush

The Tea Party Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Mother’s Day line. It first became available in the middle of February alongside 1 more brand-new bath bomb (review on the way) and 2 re-released Mother’s Day bath bombs, the Jasmine, and Atom Heart Mother.

Each Tea Party bath bomb is approximately 85g each, so it is on the smaller side. When I first ordered it, I completely missed its size listed on the Lush website. I was surprised to see that it was so small upon its arrival, its size just didn’t seem to match its high price.

I don’t normally mention the price of Lush products in my reviews as they change so often and are ordinarily a little higher due to all of the ingredients used being ethically sourced BUT the fact so many Lush bath bombs are now close to £5 each (or over), leaves me feeling unsettled enough to mention it, I fear Lush will soon price themselves out and I really don’t want that to happen.

The Tea Party bath bomb is hot pink with sky-blue dots. It’s designed in the shape of a tea pot with a heart indentation in its middle. This bath bomb isn’t the first tea pot shaped bath bomb that Lush have released. I feel like Lush have pulled inspiration for the Tea Party bath bomb from both the, The Elephant in the Tea Room and More Tea and Sympathy bath bombs. Both of these products being from past Mother’s Day lines too.

Being honest as always, I’m not sure if I completely like this bath bombs design. All of Lush’s bath bombs are handmade but the quality of them is so good, that you can never normally tell. Comparing Tea Party to the other tea pot shaped bath bombs from past lines, they just look a little rushed in my opinion. Very thrown together.

Another thing I was surprised about with the Tea Party bath bomb (this time in a positive way) was its scent. The Tea Party bath bomb is a part of the Celebrate Lush-scent-family. You’ll recognise it mainly from Lush Christmas products such as the Golden Wonder bath bomb and Bubbly shower gel.

The Tea Party bath bomb contains sweet wild orange oil, lime oil and a generous helping of popping candy too. Its scent is warm, bubbly, and full of citrusy goodness. I often say that the Celebrate scent-family smells of happiness as even just one small whiff of it puts a smile on my face.

The Celebrate scent seems to work in whatever product format Lush make it into. Lush have never released a Celebrate scented product that I haven’t wanted to try.

As soon as the Tea Party bath bomb hits the water a burst of pink foam erupts from it. Tiny pink bubbles spill out of it as it floats around your bath. It doesn’t take long for the blue dots to make an appearance bath art wise, then the popping candy kicks in too. The colours spilling out of it (although on a much smaller scale) really remind me of the Monsters’ Ball bath bomb.

I imagine if the Tea Party bath bomb was bigger, we’d have got some much more impressive bath art out of it. The Tea Party bath bomb had fully dissolved in less than 3 minutes which doesn’t leave much time for pretty patterns. The small amount of bath art it did create was very pretty though, my photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all.

I’m going to be honest and say that the Tea Party bath bomb definitely isn’t my favourite product from this year’s Mother’s Day line BUT I did enjoy the pink bath water it created and of course it’s gorgeous Celebrate scent.

After getting out of the bath my skin felt smooth and the moreish Celebrate-scent remained on my skin for the next few hours too.
