Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb From Lush

Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb.pngLast year (2016) the Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb was revamped beyond recognition for Lush’s Mother’s Day range. With it being completely unrecognisable to versions previously released, I was very excited to get hold of a few. The newly designed Rose Bombshell was a tremendously positive and much needed face lift, I loved it. I was therefore super happy when I found out that Lush had decided to bring it back for this years Valentine’s day range!

Changing from a plain white coloured product resembling Lush Oxford Street’s Ylang Song bath bomb to an almost neon pink one is always a good move in my personal pink-mad opinion. Not that I don’t love the Ylang Song bath bomb, I just tend to gravitate towards the pink products more because I’m pink obsessed.

Upon hitting the water the Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb immediately starts to fizz. It slowly changes your bath water to a crisp and pale pink.

As the Rose Bombshell slowly fizzes away its greenish blue interior begins to show. As this external layer of the bath bomb is gradually revealed the bath water becomes a deeper more vibrant pink.

Packed with rose absolute this bath bomb is a real treat for dull and tired skin. With the Rose Bombshell having both skin-soothing and moisturising properties, it is a bath bomb that you will want to use time and time again.

After getting out of this bath I could still smell the light floral and rose fragrance of Rose Bombshell on my skin. It wasn’t until I got out of the bath that I truly started to appreciate its fresh, beautiful and lingering scent.

Once this fantastically zingy-floral bath bomb reaches its last layer a handful of soft yellow rose petals burst out floating to the water surface. Like the Lovestruck bubble bar, Rose Bombshell also contains geranium oil, I am not a fan of geranium at all, Rose Bombshell’s other ingredients seem to however compliment it well making it a fragrance I do enjoy.

The multicoloured bubbles that Rose Bombshell left on the surface of the bath were so, so pretty. I just had to take a few more photos before I got into full bath mode.

Out of all of the seasonal, limited edition products that Lush threw at us last year (2016) this limited edition bath bomb was one of my favourites by far.

I have said several times in previous reviews that some of the limited edition products such as Rose Bombshell would make a fantastic addition to the staple, every day store products. A year on and I still feel that Rose Bombshell is worthy of that.

It really is a remarkably refreshing bath bomb that I feel I will never, ever get tired of.

The Enchanter Bath Bomb from Lush

The Enchanter Bath Bomb

Wide awake at 6 on a Saturday morning I decided that today I’d dedicate a whole blog post to my new favourite bath bomb, The Enchanter. Prior to finally getting hold of it, I had been absolutely desperate to give it a try, I had however always missed it whenever it appeared on the Lush Kitchen menu. Although I was absolutely gutted that its release day fell at the end of an expensive month, I did manage to get hold of 3 which in comparison to not having any at all is absolutely brilliant!

I don’t even quite know where to begin as everything about The Enchanter Bath Bomb is in my opinion perfect.  I know that, that is a very bold statement but I honestly haven’t used a bath bomb quite like it ever before. Sorry Frozen, The Enchanter is my number 1 bath bomb now.

Fresh out of its Lush Kitchen wrapper I was greeted by a pastel yellow and orange ball of bicarbonate magic. The light, pastel colours who would disappoint some, didn’t deter me at all as good Lushies know to never judge a book bath bomb by its cover first appearance.

The Enchanter Bath Bomb shares its scent with the Lush scent Calacas. Other than the Twilight shower gel, Calacas was the very first shower gel that I ever ordered. I actually left my one bottle of this in the bathroom and Joe (the hubby-to-be) decided it was communal, by the time I had noticed my error more than half of it had gone.

The Calacas Lush scent is actually one of my favourites, I know I have quite a few favourites but I generally really do LOVE Calacas. I am letting Lush Kitchen know here and now that they need to put a solid or liquid perfume form of it on the menu very soon.

The Enchanter Bath Bomb’s scent is refreshingly zingy. The combination of its carefully selected ingredients, oil of lime, neroli and olibanum makes for an energising bath time treat said to ‘perk up the weariest of souls’ it reinvigorates both mind and body.

When it comes to trying out new-to-me Lush products I find that the bath bombs are the ones that give the best surprises. I was very surprised when I first had this bath bomb in front of me, its luminous pink centre was just, WOW.

Upon hitting the water The Enchanter bath bomb starts to ferociously fizz away. Brilliant orange, striking yellow and fluorescent pink foam spreads out making little patterns in your bath water, the only word that comes close to describing its array of colours is Enchanting, which I guess is why and how it got its name.

The pink and the yellow fizzing out of the spinning bath bomb are such bold and bright colours, I couldn’t stop taking photos. As well as being the prettiest bath bomb in action that I had ever seen, the scent took my opinions on this bath bomb to a whole new level.

When I am feeling depressed a quick wash with my Calacas shower gel lifts my spirits, the scent always reminds me of happiness. Add that same scent into the most amazingly coloured bath bomb and pair the two together and you will have the perfect pick me up duo.
