Time of the Season Bath Bomb from Lush

Today I am reviewing the brand-new Time of the Season Bath Bomb from Lush’s 2024 World Bath Bomb Day collection.

To look at, the Time of the Season bath bomb reminds me of the Frozen bath bomb because Like Frozen, the Time of the Season bath bomb is all one colour and looks like it is wearing a darker coloured belt.

Where the Frozen bath bomb is light blue, Time of the Season is yellow and where the Frozen bath bomb is dark blue, Time of the Season is bright pink.

The Time of the Season bath bomb contains dark Sumatran patchouli oil, grapefruit oil, organic neroli oil and orange flower absolute.

It’s a brand-new scent-family from Lush and seems to have divided Lush fans. Again, I want to reference the Frozen bath bomb as elements of Time of the Seasons scent remind me of it a lot, it has the same zesty, sharp bitterness because of the grapefruit and neroli.

I think these are the ingredients that make and break it for some. I however really like the bitterness of the grapefruit, the other ingredient that really comes through scent wise is the patchouli oil. On paper it sounds like such a strange mix, but I think they all work really well together.

It’s an incredibly unique scent, a very bold choice from Lush, I like it when Lush are brave with their fragrances.

Lush describe the Time of the Season bath bomb as ‘a bath bomb that’ll take you to the bathing promised lands’ and claim that it is ‘the time of the season for loving yourself’ and that the bath bomb will ‘gently restore your composure, while instilling an overall feeling of peace.’

Each of the Time of the Season bath bombs are approximately 180g each fitting easily in my hand.As soon as the Time of the Season bath bomb meets your bath water there is an explosion of thick yellow and pink foam (as seen in the photo directly below.)

The hot pink and yellow starts to spread out before orange begins to spill out of the Time of the Season bath bomb too.

It doesn’t take long for the bath bomb to start spinning in the water and wow does it spit out an insane amount of absolutely stunning bath art.

As always, the photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all, the colours that spill out of the Time of the Season bath bomb are so bright, bold and beautiful, I never wanted it to end.

The Time of the Season bath bomb takes just under 10 minutes to fully dissolve, the water left behind is a bright shade of orange and it feels silky soft on your skin.

Many people have compared the Time of the Season bath bomb to the Passion bath bomb (from the same 2024 World Bath Bomb Day collection) because it has such similar colouring, this is true, maybe Lush could have picked Time of the Season to have different colours to make it more unique, but honestly? Both it and Passion are such good bath bombs that smell completely different; therefore, I really don’t think it matters.

Using the Time of the Season bath bomb left my skin lightly fragranced and soft to the touch, I could still smell it on my skin several hours after using the bath bomb too. I also didn’t need to moisturise after getting out of the bath which is always a plus… I do love a time saver!

Overall, I am completely in love with the Time of the Season bath bomb. The bath art was phenomenal. If I knew the bath bomb was this good, I’d have used it weeks ago.

I always say the bath art photos in my bath bomb reviews do the bath bombs no justice at all, but the photos included on the Lush website for this bath bomb don’t show its true potential either. Just look at the photo above compared to those on the Lush website. I can’t believe how different they are!?!!

I admit, the Time of the Season scent is quite an acquired taste, if you’re not sure on its scent I do still recommend giving it a go, sometimes bath bombs can surprise you. Time of the Season is a true work of art, what an incredible bath bomb from start to finish!

Sleepy Bot with Shampoo Bar Bath Bomb from Lush

Today I am reviewing the Sleepy Bot Bath Bomb, alongside the Ickle Bot bath bomb (that is also currently available) it is the first bath bomb to include a hidden shampoo bar inside of it.

Each of the robot shaped bath bombs include a miniature version of the Angel Hair shampoo bar in them. I rarely use Lush shampoo bars as I still haven’t found one that is always suited to my very specific hair type BUT I’m always happy to give things a try and find that the shampoo bars can be incredibly versatile and aren’t just one-trick-ponies!

If you’ve been a Lush customer for a while you’ll recognise the Sleepy Bot’s design from the latest version of the Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb.

Sleepy Bot is a similar shape but a darker blue/purple colour and unlike the Ickle Baby Bot, shares its scent with the Sleepy range.

The Sleepy Bot with Shampoo bar bath bomb contains lavender oil, benzoin resinoid, tonka absolute, ylang ylang oil, rose water and witch hazel extract.

The bath bomb part of Sleepy Bot shares its scent with several products currently available, including the Twilight bath bomb, Sleepy bubble bar and Sleepy shower gel.

Lush describe the Sleepy Bot with Shampoo bar bath bomb as ‘a gentle, fun bomb that brings the joy back to bath time.’

Sleepy Bot was designed with little ones in mind but it’s not exclusively for kids. The first time I gave it a go I was struggling with a bad back so used it just before bed, I feel as if I slept so much better because of it.

Each of the Sleepy Bot with Shampoo bar bath bombs are approximately 95g each fitting easily in my hand.

As soon as the Sleepy Bot bath bomb encounters your bath water you’re greeted with a gentle hiss as a tiny stream of darker blue bubbles fizz out of it.

Knowing that it had a whole shampoo bar hidden inside of it (albeit small) I expected the Sleepy Bot to immediately sink, it however floated around the water surface, filling my bathroom with the Sleepy, lavender and tonka absolute fragrance.

About three minutes in to having the Sleepy Bot bath bomb in the water is when the hidden shampoo bar makes an appearance. It breaks away from the bath bomb sinking to the bottom of the bath, leaving the bath-bomb-part still floating.

Even with the Sleepy Bot bath bomb being so small, it takes just under 10 minutes to fully dissolve.

The water left behind is a lighter purple colour that is very similar to the water left behind by the Twilight bath bomb that I mentioned above.

I also said earlier that Lush’s shampoo bars are very versatile, I am actually using my miniature version of the Angel Hair shampoo bar that was hidden inside of the Sleepy Bot bath bomb as a sort of shaving foam. It makes for a much smoother shaving experience!

I admit that the Sleepy Bot isn’t the most powerful Sleepy scented product, if you want to layer up on the scent once you’re out of the bath I highly recommend the Sleepy body lotion.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed using the Sleepy Bot bath bomb, the novelty of the shampoo bar inside of it makes it much better value for money and although it doesn’t work very well in my hair in particular; It does have many different uses, for example I use it on my legs for shaving purposes.

The Sleepy Bot water left my skin lightly fragranced and really soft to the touch and I slept reasonably well after using it too.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the shampoo bars size, I thought it would be a lot smaller than it was.

Sleepy Bot is not the bath bomb someone looking for bath art should grab but it was a lovely, relaxing bath all the same!

Passion Bath Bomb from Lush

Today I am reviewing the brand-new Passion Bath Bomb from Lush’s 2024 World Bath Bomb Day collection.

Much like the Thermal Waves bath bomb from the same collection, Passion has such striking colours that it demands your immediate attention.

The Passion bath bomb is a swirling mix of hot pink, red and yellow. As soon as I had the bath bomb in my possession, I couldn’t wait to give it a go.

The Passion bath bomb contains buchu, litsea cubeba and sweet wild orange oils.

It shares its scent with several past products including, the Passion shower gel, Cyclops bubble bar, SpongeBob bath bomb and also the Tropical Co-Mingle body scrub.

Lush describe the Passion bath bomb as ‘mouth-wateringly juicy and fruity’. It’s a rich passion fruit like fragrance and the perfect pick-me-up. It reminds me of the Summer and long days on the beach.

Each of the Passion bath bombs are approximately 180g each fitting easily in my hand.

As soon as the Passion bath bomb comes into contact with your bath water there is an explosion of thick tropical coloured foam.

The hot pink, red and yellows of the bath bomb start to bleed into each other making it look like the Passion bath bomb also has lighter pink and orange colours in it too.

It doesn’t take long for the bath bomb to start spinning and creating the most gorgeous swirling bath art.

As always, the photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all, the colours that spill out of the Passion bath bomb are so bright and bold. My camera couldn’t quite capture its true beauty.

The Passion bath bomb takes about 8 minutes to fully dissolve, the water left behind is a bright shade of orange and it’s super silky feeling.

Sat in its tropical waters, I feel like I am in a fish-bowl-cocktail and not a bathtub at all. I don’t think a bath bomb has ever made me want to be on a sunny holiday more!

The Passion bath bombs scent intensifies somewhat once it is in the bathtub, there’s just something about its scent and all of the colours that spill out of it that leaves me feeling happy.

Using the Passion bath bomb left my skin lightly fragranced and soft to the touch. I couldn’t help but notice how hydrated my skin felt and how much brighter it looked after using it too.

Overall, I am completely in love with the Passion bath bomb. I have thoroughly enjoyed every bath bomb from the World Bath Bomb day release that I have tried so far but the Passion bath bomb, has really made a lasting impression on me.

It’s beautiful scent and array of Summery colours has made this bath bomb one of my all-time favourites!
