Tick-Tock Bath Bomb from Lush

The Tick-Tock Bath Bomb is a brand new product created for Lush’s Christmas 2020 line. Strangely, it’s inspired by a robot character in one of the creepiest films that I ever watched as a child, the Return to Oz.

For the people that are fans of the Winter products that aren’t in-your-face Christmassy, Tick-Tock might be the perfect item from the Christmas line for you.

The Tick-Tock bath bomb is about the same size as the Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb, although it is a little chunkier, think of it as Ickle Baby Bot after hitting the gym. Bright orange and decorated with golden glitter Tick-Tock almost glows in amongst all of the other Winter products.

Containing sweet cinnamon, sweet wild orange, cassia and neroli oil, Tick-Tock has a very dominating citrus scent. When the bath bomb is in my hand and not in the water I can really detect the bitterness of the neroli oil and didn’t understand why everyone kept comparing its fragrance to the Brightside bubble bar.

As soon as the Tick-Tock bath bomb hits the water the bitterness of its scent fades away, The sweet wild orange then takes the lead and although the aforementioned Brightside bubble bar doesn’t contain sweet wild orange it is at this point that I see the resemblance between the two products.

As the uplifting and super refreshing orange fragrance fills your bathroom the bath bomb fizzles away, you are then greeted with another surprise. Popping candy!

The Tick-Tock bath bomb doesn’t take long to dissolve but the popping candy pops away for a good 5 minutes after the robot figure has fully dissolved. If you’re not used to using bath bombs with popping candy in get ready for a most spectacular bathing experience… It’s a bath time I promise you’ll never forget.

Once the popping candies show comes to an end you are left with shimmering, bright orange bath water. Its consistency and how it smells really reminds me of unset orange-flavoured-jelly. The water is really silky, and feels ever so slightly thicker than just water. My skin basks in its cheeriness.

Overall I am really impressed with the Tick-Tock bath bomb, when I first see its smaller size I didn’t expect very much from it at all thinking of it as more of a novelty product more than anything, I however really enjoyed using it.

There wasn’t any bath art but the scent, feel of the water once it had dissolved and the popping candy well made up for no bath art. A soak in a Tick-Tock bath left me feeling warm, refreshed, calm and content.

Its scent also stayed on my skin for the best part of the rest of the day which often isn’t the case with such heavily based citrus products. If you’re looking to bring some brightness and cheer into your bathroom this Winter, then look no further than the Tick-Tock bath bomb!

NEW So White Bath Bomb from Lush

So White Bath Bomb NEW 2018.png

The So White Bath Bomb has had many visual updates, it started off as just a plain white sphere-shaped bath bomb with light pink insides (reviewed here) this version was released as a part of the Winter line consecutively for quite a few years.

It was then changed to have an apple-like-shape with a single green leaf sat on its top in 2016. This version of the bath bomb created some of the best bath art that I have EVER seen from a Lush bath bomb. (reviewed here)

I adored everything about the 2016 version of the So White bath bomb. Lush however decided to update it yet again just a few years later. Now it still shares the apple-like-shape from its previous version BUT it is completely white, even on the inside. The bath art has gone down the drain, literally…

The only thing that has stayed the same throughout So White’s many face lifts is its scent. The So White scent is in my top 3 favourite Lush scents, as sad as I was to lose what was one of my favourite parts of a much loved bath bomb I was happy I could still experience some of its wonder, minus the bath art.

As angry as I was at Lush for taking away a huge part of one of my all-time-favourite products I understood why they took the colour out of it. For starters it made the bath bombs name make more sense. It also became more desirable to customers who don’t like to bathe in lots of colour or glitter. Sometimes less is more.

With its deliciously-crisp, apple scent, the So White bath bomb smells just like a fairytale. Neroli, orange flower, Brazilian orange, bergamot and rose absolute are blended together to create one of the freshest fragrances Lush have on offer.

Seeing as the So White bath bomb doesn’t create any bath art I didn’t take many pictures of it once it was in the water. It’s a very slow fizzer and what it lacks in bath art it well makes up for with its scent and how soft and milky-white it turns your bath water.

I always come out of a So White bath feeling instantly refreshed, its scent is just so uplifting and gives me a real happiness-boost, helping to go about the rest of my day with a clear state of mind. I can never resist its scent.

After using it, its fairytale fragrance stays on my skin for the best part of the rest of the day, I however like the scent so much that I can never resist topping myself up with its body spray equivalent, the So White body spray.

Any product that has the So White fragrance will always be one of my favourites, if Lush had taken the colour out of any other bath bomb I doubt they’d have got away with it!

Celebrate Body Spray from Lush

Celebrate Body Spray.png
When I first heard whispers saying that a Celebrate Body Spray was being released I had my fingers and toes crossed hoping it wasn’t more fake news.

Thankfully it wasn’t a lie and it really was released. I did not uncross my fingers until it was officially announced. I wanted a bottle or 3 that much!

For almost 5 years I had been begging Lush on social media to please, please, please release another round of Celebrate perfumes or even better, a Celebrate scented body spray…

Lush’s Celebrate scent-family is a firm favourite of mine. Luckily for me it features in several Lush products so I am never without it completely. The Golden Wonder bath bomb, Bubbly shower gel and Snowshowers shower jelly are names of just a few products that share the Celebrate scent.

I had run out of my Celebrate perfume about 3 years prior to this body sprays original release last Winter (2019) so I’ll admit I was getting very desperate for a new bottle. A lady should never be without her signature scent after all!

With Celebrate being such a popular scent, when the body spray was finally released it was very well received, not just by me but by the Lush Community too. The scent seems to work in whatever product format Lush make it into, it’s perfect.

Celebrate body spray contains cognac, Brazilian orange and lime oils. Its scent is a refreshingly-festive mix of warm, citrusy bubbles. Just one squirt of the Celebrate body spray leaves you smelling gorgeous all day.

It literally smells of happiness, even just a quick whiff of it always puts a smile on my face. I spray it all over myself, it works well on just my skin, sprayed on my clothes and even in my hair. Winter is never the same without it but the scent works perfectly for all seasons; I rock it all year through.

I’d go as far as to say that I actually prefer the Celebrate body spray over the perfume, The body spray has lasted much longer than the liquid perfume did. It has also gone a lot further making it much better value for money. I am so happy to have my signature scent back and will be grabbing another bottle this Winter!
