Passion Body Spray from Lush

The Passion Body Spray is one of six exclusive body sprays that Lush have recently released a limited amount of.

As you can see from the photos included in this review, the Passion body spray doesn’t have the standard Lush, black-and-white-label on it. Passions label is a bold and beautiful bright shade of red.

I think Lush were clever to inject colour into the labels of each of the exclusive body sprays in this Summer inspired fragrance drop.

The bright colours scream Summertime. Alongside the uplifting scents contained within each of the six body spray bottles, it is impossible to not be excited about each of them!

You’ll recognise this body sprays scent if you have tried the recently released Passion bath bomb. Other products that come from the same scent family include the Cyclops bubble barTropical Co-Mingle body scrubPassion shower gel and SpongeBob bath bomb, just to name a few…

Ingredients wise, the Passion body spray contains lime oil, litsea cubeba oil and Brazilian orange oil.

Lush describe their Passion scent as a ‘luxurious fragrance’ that is ‘dripping with sweet, fruity notes to get your juices flowing’. Its scent is mouth-wateringly juicy and the perfect mood booster.

The Passion fragrance reminds me of long days spent on the beach – sun, sea and sand with a fruity cocktail in one hand, book in the other. If you like tropical, fruity scents look no further.

Passion is quite a strong fragrance, two squirts of the Passion body spray is enough to leave you smelling like a tropical fruit salad all day. I mostly only squirt it on myself once as I prefer it lighter.

Lush scent families can be a little tricky to replicate, sometimes products made to have the same scent can vary slightly depending on the products format, I however find that anything Lush bring out with the Passion scent seem to be unmistakably identical. Bath bomb, shower gel or body spray, no matter the format they each smell the same.

It has been a little while since Lush did a body spray drop of this size, out of the six that were just released only three are scents that have never been made into body sprays before. Passion is one of those and seems to have proven very popular within the Lush community.

Out of the new body spray scents, I think Lemony Flutter is my favourite, but Passion still has a well-earned place on my body spray shelf!

TNT Block Bath Bomb from Lush

The TNT Block Bath Bomb is a brand-new product from the Minecraft X Lush collaboration, I was lucky enough to be sent one by Lush last week.

Minecraft is an open-world video game that lets players build, explore and survive in a virtual world. In it, players can use blocks to build absolutely anything they want.

In the Minecraft X Lush line, Lush have created five ‘Block-bath-bombs’ and today I’m reviewing the TNT Block bath bomb.

Before this line came out, I had heard of the Minecraft game but had never played it. Since, I have finally tried the game as I wanted to see what all the fuss was about…

I’m not great with games but can see why so many spend hours on it. Had it have come out when I was a little younger, I could see younger me getting very into it.

The TNT Block bath bomb shares its scent with the bestselling, Sex Bomb bath bomb.

Just like in the game, the TNT Block is bright red with a white band around its middle; Inside the white band on each side are the letters, TNT in black capital letters.

The TNT Block bath bombs are 100g each and fit snuggly in my hand.

I didn’t realise until after I’d touched the TNT Block bath bomb that its red colour was so transferable.

I actually went to wash my hands after I’d finished taking photos of all of the Minecraft X Lush stock and when I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn’t stop laughing. I must have touched my face in some way while taking the photos, there was red dust all over my face. This is not a negative, it added some much needed humour to my day.

The TNT Block bath bomb contains jasmine absolute, clary sage oil, ylang ylang oil and plenty of popping candy to help it fit right into the theme of real TNT.

TNT Blocks bath bombs scent is a soft, young-floral blend. Mixed in with its floral elements is the sweetness of the ylang ylang. That, and the clary sage in it help round off the floral aspect of the fragrance in an almost musky way. It’s a really inviting scent that I fall in love with every time I use it, in whatever product format Lush choose to release it in.

As soon as the TNT Block touches the bath water there is an explosion of red, there hasn’t been a bath bomb that changes the colour of the water this red and this quickly in a very long time. There wasn’t very much foam, but the red colour fizzed its way out of the bath bomb transforming the bath water almost immediately.

It doesn’t take long for the bath bomb to be completely taken over by the water, as it dissolves away the TNT Block bath bombs scent fills your bathroom helping you wind down after a long and stressful day. Then just as you’re about to fall into a deep relaxation, the popping candy starts to put on a show, TNT style!

After just four minutes the TNT Block bath bomb has fully dissolved leaving you with water that is such a deep red that it could easily be mistaken for the blood of your enemies. The scent is incredibly powerful lingering in your bathroom and on your skin long after the last drop of water has gone down the drain.

With the bath bombs colour transferring so easily onto my hands and then onto my face when I first handled it, I was a little worried about the clean up once I had used the bath bomb. I however had absolutely nothing to worry about, the TNT Block bath bomb left no mess, after the last drop of water went down the plug hole (if it wasn’t for the scent) I would have never known it had even been in my bath.

Once out of the bath my skin felt silky soft, and the scent lingered for so long I could still smell it on me at bedtime.

At first, I thought the Minecraft line was just a novelty collection of products more than anything else but after using the TNT Block bath bomb I appreciated the line so much more, I loved the TNT Block it smelt great, put on a great performance and has opened my eyes to a whole new world game wise.

Milk Bucket Shower Jelly from Lush

The Milk Bucket Shower Jelly is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s Minecraft X Lush collaboration, I was lucky enough to be sent a pot of it by Lush earlier this week.

Before this line came out, I had heard of the Minecraft computer game but had never played it.

Since, I have finally tried the game to see what all the fuss was about. I spent about an hour getting myself out of a big hole that I had fallen down and not much else…

Some people are good at computer games, I am not one of them. I’m going to stick to just using bath products for now!

In the Minecraft game a milk bucket is one of the many food items that you can make, it’s useful as a food source and can also be used to cure status effects.

It has been a while since I have reviewed a shower jelly that isn’t in a novelty, character shape. The Milk Bucket shower jelly is the standard Lush shower jelly shape; The exact same shape as its pot.

Each of the Milk Bucket shower jellies are 100g each just big enough to fit in your hand.

Just like an actual bucket of milk, the Milk Bucket shower jelly is an opaque, milk-white colour.

The Milk Bucket shower jelly contains glycerine, almond milk, carrageenan extract, coconut milk powder, Brazilian orange oil and patchouli oil.

Milk Bucket shares its scent with the main-line Lush products, Milky Bath bubble bar, Toby’s Magic Cow bath bomb and the recent limited edition release, the Saltbomb bath bomb.

The Milk Buckets scent is best described as a gentle and musky fragrance that is incredibly calming.

I ordinarily find the shower jellies that aren’t novelty shaped to be sturdier and more robust during use; They always seem to last longer, breaking up a lot slower than the character shaped shower jellies such as the Krang and Snow Fairy shower jelly.

There is no right or wrong way to use a shower jelly, I prefer to use mine in the same way as you would a bar of soap, whole.

Some people however chop their shower jellies up using a few pieces at a time, this is a good method if you’re sharing it with someone else.

Once you’ve used it simply rinse it off and then pop it back into the pot and put the lid back on.

The Milk Bucket shower jelly lathers up quickly, I find this a real positive for shower jellies as they can be a little slippery, after all they are made of jelly! I seemed to however be wrong about this shower jellies sturdiness…

It started to break up a lot quicker than I had anticipated (after just one use it was a lot flimsier) I’m having a guess that this is because of its higher than average milk content. This doesn’t mean the shower jelly doesn’t however work. It just shows wear and tear almost immediately, running out a little quicker than I’d have hoped.

Even with this in mind, I can still see it lasting me another 4 possibly 5 showers.

After using the Milk Bucket shower jelly my skin feels soft, clean, and hydrated. The scent although light remains on my skin for a good few hours after using it too.

Overall, it is a good shower jelly and I’m so happy to experience the Milky Bath Lush-scent-family in this format, it makes a change from bath bomb after bath bomb.
