Snowy Bath Bomb from Lush

The Snowy Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Christmas line.

Snowy is a cute snowman head, it is designed to look like it has coal for a smile, nose and eyes while also wearing a blue, bath-bomb-beanie-hat with a bright white bobble on its top.

Weighing in at approximately 180g each, the Snowy bath bomb is the same size as the New Snow Fairy bath bomb from the same line.

The Snowy bath bomb contains bergamot oil, lavender oil and lemongrass oil.

It shares its scent with Lush’s Love shower gel. If you’ve been a Lush customer for quite some time, you’ll most likely recognise its scent from the Love body spray and Fizzbanger bath bomb.

The ‘Love’ scent family is a much-loved Lush fragrance that has most recently come back through the charity product, the Welcome bath bomb too.

The Love Lush-scent-family is best described as fierce. It is always the most dominant scented product in the room and is easily recognised.

My nose mostly picks up on the lemongrass and bergamot oil in it, but I’d describe it as smelling sweet with a pinch of spiciness. It’s a very sharp yet musky citrus.

As soon as the Snowy bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with a gentle stream of blue and white bubbles.

The Snowy bath bomb is not fantastic bath-art-wise as it sinks BUT the blue and white colours of it are so striking together as it fizzes away. When bath bombs sink, I like to lie back and let the bubbles tickle my back, it’s so relaxing!

The Snowy bath bomb takes approximately 10 minutes to fully dissolve and turns your bath water a bold and very bright shade of sky blue. With all the grey skies lately, it’s really made me miss the Summer…

I found the waters left behind by the Snowy bath bomb really warming on your skin. The scent remains in your bathroom (although not as strongly) long after you pull the plug too.

The ‘Love’ scent can also still be detected on your skin long after getting out of the bath and my skin still felt soft and appeared brighter the next day after using it.

I really enjoyed using the Snowy bath bomb, I’d have maybe liked a bit more bath art out of it but other than that I think it’s the perfect little Christmas time bath bomb.

Reindeer Bubble Bar from Lush

The Reindeer Bubble Bar is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Christmas line. Designed to look like a very happy version of Rudolph, red nose, and all – I couldn’t help but pick up one as soon as they became available.

The Reindeer bubble bars scent is brand new too. It is described on Lush’s website as ‘cheery cherry-fragranced bubbles.’

Each Reindeer bubble bar weighs in at approximately 130g. It’s a good-sized bubble bar that fits snuggly in my hand.

The Reindeer bubble bar contains almond oil, benzoin resinoid and Irish moss powder.

The Reindeer’s scent is incredibly Christmassy; Its mix of almond oil and benzoin resinoid is what gives it, its cheery-cherry-like-fragrance.

It’s super warming, the more you sniff it the more you want to use it!

It’s a soft bubble bar too making it easy to break up, ready to use.

To use the Reindeer bubble bar, I put broken up pieces of it into a sieve and let the running bath-water trickle over it.

I find this the most effective way to use Lush’s single use bubble bars. This method is also the best way to ensure none of the bubble bar gets accidentally wasted. Through trial and error, I have found that this sieve-method makes the most bubbles too.

The one thing that I love about Lush’s bubble bars over their bath bombs is that they can easily be spread out over several baths. With Reindeer being a medium sized Lush bubble bar, you can easily get two heavily-bubbled-bubble-baths out of it.

Sharing the Reindeer bubble bar over two different baths didn’t compromise on its scent-quality at all.

The blanket of fluffy white bubbles started to grow as soon as I placed the broken-up pieces under the running tap. Underneath the fast-building blanket of fluffy, white bubbles the water turns an inviting shade of bright orange.

Once in the bath, I couldn’t help but notice how creamy and soft the water was. A Reindeer bubble-bar-bath leaves your skin feeling so smooth and unbelievably hydrated. A lot of the thanks for this is down to the addition of the Irish moss powder.

Once out of the bath, its scent (although a lot more subtle now) lasts for a good few hours on your skin.

Overall, I really like the Reindeer bubble bar, it’s probably my favourite Christmas time bubble bar to be released since the Cinnamon Roll bubble bar. I really hope it comes back next year and I’d also love to see future products created in its scent.

Penguin Bath Bomb from Lush

The Penguin Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Christmas line.

With the Penguin bath bomb, Lush have designed one of their cutest, bath-bomb-characters to date. It’s a mostly violet coloured penguin, with a snow-white face, belly, and strikingly orange beak. The Penguin bath bombs look is all finished off with its adorable hot pink bow tie.

Weighing in at approximately 175g each the Penguin bath bomb is quite big, it’s one of Lush’s bigger more flatter bath bombs and is almost as big as my (little bit smaller than average) hand.

The Penguin bath bomb contains bergamot oil, Sicilian lemon oil, orange flower absolute and Sicilian red mandarin oil.

It shares its scent with Lush’s incredibly popular, The Olive Branch shower gel. If you’ve been a Lush customer for quite some time, you’ll most likely recognise its scent from the, The Christmas Penguin bubble bar from past Christmas lines too.

The ‘Olive Branch’ scent family is a much-loved Lush fragrance that I’m always happy to see make an appearance in any product format.

The Olive Branch scent is best described as a delicate citrus fragrance. It is perfect for anyone who is wary of the stronger fragrances Lush are often associated with.

As soon as the Penguin bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with a gentle stream of violet bubbles.

The Penguin bath bomb is not fantastic bath-art-wise BUT does create a few colourful groups of bubbles as it dissolves. Once the water takes over, the penguin’s beak and pink bow fizzle away too.

The Penguin bath bomb takes approximately 5 minutes to fully dissolve and turns your bath water a milky violet colour.

I found the waters left behind by the Penguin bath bomb silky smooth and incredibly refreshing. It’s gentle ‘Olive Branch’ scent can also still be detected on your skin long after getting out of the bath.

My skin still felt soft and hydrated for the whole of the next day after using it too, it’s an incredibly hydrating bath bomb.

I really enjoyed using the Penguin bath bomb, I’d have maybe liked a bit more bath art out of it but other than that I think it’s a fantastic addition to not only the Christmas line but also the Olive Branch Lush-scent-family.
