The Enchanter Bath Bomb from Lush

I decided that today I’d dedicate a whole blog post to my new favourite bath bomb, The Enchanter. Prior to finally getting hold of it, I had been absolutely desperate to give it a try, I had however always missed it whenever it appeared on the Lush Kitchen menu.

Although I was absolutely gutted that its release day fell at the end of an expensive month, I did manage to get a hold of 3 which in comparison to not having any, is absolutely brilliant!

I don’t quite know where to begin as everything about the, The Enchanter Bath Bomb is in my opinion perfect. I know that, that is a bold statement but I honestly haven’t used a bath bomb quite like it ever before. Sorry Frozen, The Enchanter bath bomb has knocked you right off of my top spot.

Fresh out of its Lush Kitchen wrapper, I was greeted by a pastel yellow and orange ball of bicarbonate magic. It almost glows!

The Enchanter bath bomb is a part of the Calacas scent family. Apart from the Twilight shower gel, Calacas was the first Lush shower gel that I ever ordered from the Lush Kitchen.

I actually left my one bottle of it in the bathroom and Joe (the hubby-to-be) decided it was communal. By the time I had noticed my error, more than half of it had gone.

The Calacas-Lush-scent is actually one of my favourites, I know I have quite a few favourites but I generally really do LOVE Calacas. It’s definitely in my top three.

I am letting Lush Kitchen know here and now that they need to put a solid or liquid perfume form of it on the menu very soon.

The Enchanter Bath Bomb’s scent is refreshingly zingy.

The combination of its carefully selected ingredients, oil of lime, neroli and olibanum makes for an energising bath time treat said to ‘perk up the weariest of souls’ it reinvigorates both your mind and body.

When it comes to trying out new-to-me Lush products I find that the bath bombs are the ones that give the best surprises.

The Enchanters surprise is its luminous pink centre, I have never seen bath art as good as this from any bath bomb I have tried before!

Upon hitting the water The Enchanter bath bomb starts to ferociously fizzle away. Brilliant orange, striking yellow and fluorescent pink foam spreads out making little circular patterns on the surface of your bath water.

The only word that comes close to describing the, The Enchanter bath bombs’ array of colours is the word enchanting; Making The Enchanter a very fitting name for the bath bomb indeed!

The pink and the yellow spilling out of the spinning bath bomb are such bold and bright colours, I just couldn’t stop taking photos.

As well as being the prettiest bath bomb in action that I had ever seen, the scent took my opinions on this bath bomb to a whole new level.

When I am feeling depressed a quick wash with my Calacas shower gel always lifts my mood.

The scent reminds me of happiness, I need Calacas scented EVERYTHING! The shower gel and The Enchanter bath bomb just isn’t enough. I want body lotions, bubble bars and shampoo bars in its scent… Not providing the world with the Calacas scent in every product format is a crime against humanity.

Lush, why is this bath bomb not a main line product? It’s incredible and shouldn’t be only available through the Lush Kitchen, we need it in stores all over the world please!

Heart Throb Bubbleroon from Lush

Heart Throb BubbleroonI am always super excited at the prospect of adding another bubbleroon to my Lush collection.

Heart Throb’s size is in consistency with the other Lush bubbleroons, it does however stand out from the crowd because of its unique shape.  Made up of 2 deep-red hearts that are fused together with gold-glitter tinted cream, it is very easy on the eye.  Putting Heart Throb against all of the other bubble bar products I can totally see why Heart Throb has proven to be so popular.

I have read several reviews on this Valentine’s day bubbleroon and all say different things regarding how much of the bubble bar they advise you use per bath.

When I first started my Lush journey I on instinct went straight for the bubble bars, not having much money for luxuries meant that the idea of a product that could be used on more than one occasion was ideal.

Many people use the whole of a bubbleroon for just one big, bubbly bath.  My personal preference is to however break them in half.  I have previously tried to break them into 3 or 4 pieces to spread out over several baths, this however made me feel like there just wasn’t enough product to go around.  After a lot of experimental-bath time trial and errors, I have come to the conclusion that using the whole bubbleroon for just one bath although fantastic scent wise, provides you with more bubbles than you actually need – that is if you don’t mind attending foam parties and being the only one invited…  Just half of a bubbleroon will guarantee you mounds and mounds of beautiful white bubbles and silky-smooth, tinted water that hydrates and soothes your skin.

The scent of the Heart Throb Bubbleroon is not one I am very familiar with, this is a completely new scent for me.  Dominated by vanilla, geranium and lemon oil it is a soft, fairly sweet, musky scent with a floral undertone, I am literally useless at describing scents so I won’t make a fool of myself by trying to put it into any more words.  Let’s just say that it is a very delicate and pleasant scent. 😉

Overall I think the Heart Throb Bubbleroon is a fantastic addition to the exclusive to Oxford Street, Lush Valentine’s line.

All though Heart Throb has well and truly impressed me, my favourite bubbleroon is still Yuzu and Cocoa. Never-the-less Heart Throb is a very welcome ingredient for some of the bath cocktails that I have planned in my future.

Rose Lollipop Lip Balm from Lush

Rose Lollipop Lip Balm
A couple of weeks ago I picked up a tin of Rose Lollipop Lip Balm from my local Lush store in Harrogate.

As you’ll know Lush lip balm is often overshadowed by the more popular products such as the bath bombs and bubble bars. For the longest time lip balms where ignorantly not on my Lush radar.  When it comes to lip products I am extremely fussy, I prefer those with a gentle fragrance and taste.  As a sufferer of severe bouts of nausea and migraines I can never be too careful.

I had heard that this lip balm in particular was good and most importantly, had all of the qualities I favour.  It was therefore only a matter of time before I let my nose inspect it.

Rose Lollipop Lip Balm has a very delicate fruity, floral-rose scent. I was at first a little taken aback, it was better than I had expected.  I had initially thought it was going to be very similar to Lush’s much-loved winter scent, Rose Jam.  I love the Rose Jam scent and always have several products that have its scent at hand, I however wasn’t sure Rose Jam would be as likeable on my lips.  By all means, Rose Lollipop is a rose-scent that is quite similar to Rose Jam, it however has a slight citrus-fruit undertone making it quite a unique and desirable scent for me in particular.

Rose Lollipop Lip Balm not only satisfied my lip balm needs with its soft and likeable scent, it also hydrated and moisturised my notoriously dry, chapped lips perfectly.

Out of all of the Lush lip balms I have tried Rose Lollipop is by far the best suited one for me.  A little goes a very long way, its dinky size also means that I can always have it with me whether that is in my bag or pocket.

Although lip balms aren’t the most exciting or popular Lush products, I totally recommend trying out a few of their alternative products, Lush Cosmetics has so much more than bath bombs to offer, don’t miss out!
