Pink Fizzes Good With Green Bath Bomb from Lush

As a huge fan of all things pink, the Pink Fizzes Good With Green Bath Bomb was the first product from the Wicked X Lush collaboration that caught my attention. I was lucky enough to receive one as a gift from Lush too.

With the highly anticipated release of the film Wicked, Lush have created a new range, jam packed with Oz inspired wonders…

Each product within the collection oozes of all things Oz and showcases some very unusual yet beautifully harmonious ingredient blends that shouldn’t work together, but somehow do… No other Lush collection has ever smelt so good.

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green Bath Bomb is mostly bright pink but has green and yellow salt crystals decorating it in a very similar way to the Mercury in Retrograde bath bomb. Think of it as a salt crystal helter-skelter that goes around the outside of the bath bomb.

Lush’s idea behind it was a story of two halves, Elphaba meets Glinda!

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb is the same size as the majority of Lush’s circular bath bombs fitting perfectly in my hand.

Some of the ingredients included in the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb are coarse sea salt, orris oil, rose oil, almond essential oil, cedarwood absolute, sesame seed absolute and vanilla absolute.

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb has a lot of ingredients which gives it a very complex fragrance. Describing scents is not one of my talents so I always get a little anxious when a Lush fragrance like this comes along…

You may be surprised to hear that this bath bombs scent is actually a mixture of two new Lush perfumes, I am led to believe it is a blend of the two new Wicked X Lush body sprays (that I will be reviewing separately very soon!)

Pink Fizzes Good With Greens scent has floral, woody and vanilla tones, it’s a very intense fragrance so better suited to customers that like scents that pack a punch.

As soon as the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb touches the water it begins to fizz away, at first the only colour that seems to come out of the bath bomb is bright pink, as it dissolves you can hear the salt crystals slowly fall to the bottom of your bath starting to soften the bath water almost immediately.

After about a minute orange foam begins to spill out of the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb too and then shortly after that, purple streaks too. The most dominant of the colours throughout is however the bright pink.

The photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all; The warming orange, purple and pink swirls created by the bath bomb were gorgeous.

I always find that bath art created by the bath bombs that have extra amounts of salt in like Pink Fizzes Good With Green, disappear a lot quicker than other bath bombs which is why I didn’t get any photos. You have to use Pink Fizzes Good With Green to truly appreciate it!

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb took just under ten minutes to fully dissolve, leaving behind silky soft, cloudy peach coloured bath water. To look at, it reminds me of fruit-and-barley summer fruits squash.

After leaving the bath, my skin felt smooth, appeared brighter and I could still smell it on my skin by the time I got in to bed. I’d used it quite early in the morning so for it to last so long shows just how strong a scent the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb has.

I found this bath bomb incredibly hydrating; My skin always feels so soothed and smooth when a bath bomb contains a generous helping of salt like the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb does.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed using the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb. I was surprised at just how much I did like it as I don’t always get on with the stronger Lush scents but the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb was beautiful in every ‘witch’ way!

Green Shower Elixir Shower Gel from Lush

The Green Shower Elixir Shower Gel is the first of the Wicked X Lush collaboration products that I will be reviewing for you. I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of it as a gift from Lush.

With the highly anticipated release of the film Wicked, Lush have created a new range, jam packed with Land-of-Oz inspired wonders.

Each product within the collection oozes the magic of Oz, showcasing some very unusual yet beautifully harmonious ingredient blends that shouldn’t work together, but somehow do… No other Lush collection has ever smelt this good!

Everything about this shower gel screams Wicked. From the shade of green that it is, to its incredibly detailed label, you can tell just by looking at it that a lot of time and thought went into each and every aspect of it.

The Green Shower Elixir shower gel contains some of the following ingredients: willow herb decoction, glycerine, water, litsea cubeba oil, Brazilian orange oil and benzoin resinoid.

Its scent is brand new to Lush and is described by Lush as being, ‘an elixir so enchanting, it’ll have the whole of Oz ready to go green!’

I always struggle to describe scents but the first word that comes to mind when I give Green Shower Elixir a sniff is juicy. It reminds me of when you take the first bite of a melon, juicy, wet and refreshing. It’s crisp, fruity, moreish and smells just like I imagine a green magic potion to smell.

The Green Shower Elixir is a clear emerald-green coloured shower gel, it’s reasonably thick but comes out of the bottle easily.

A very small amount of the Green Shower Elixir shower gel goes a long way, It effortlessly lathers up into a smooth creamy paste, gently gliding over your skin leaving it softer, more hydrated and cleaner.

Mixed in with the steam and hot-shower-water the scent really takes over your bathroom, it reminds me of a big bowl of sliced up melon.

Once out of the shower the Green Shower Elixir’s scent remains on your skin for several hours. With it being quite a fruity fragrance, I am surprised at how long it lasts, normally fruity scents don’t have as much staying power but Green Shower Elixir’s scent lingers. With thanks to the glycerine in this shower gel, my skin has never felt softer or plumper.

Overall, the Green Shower Elixir is a wonderful shower gel, I hope that Lush decide to bring out more products in its scent, it would be a crime for Lush to not explore this delicious scent in other product formats!

The Juice is Loose Shower Gel from Lush

Alongside the recent release of the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice film, Lush have created a limited edition collection that’s as bold and quirky as the film itself; Enter the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice X Lush collaboration!

Today I am reviewing, The Juice is Loose Shower Gel, I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of it in the post from Lush a few weeks ago.

I still haven’t had a chance to see the new film itself BUT as soon as it becomes available for home viewing, I will be buying it. I am more than a little bit curious to see what has been going on in the Beetlejuice universe since the ending of the first film released back in 1988.

The Juice is Loose shower gel is a rich, deep shade of purple. This exact shade of purple oozes regal charm demanding everyone’s instant attention. It is actually the same shade of purple as the dresses my bridesmaids wore at my wedding several years ago.

Naturally, this made it the first product from the Beetlejuice X Lush collaboration that caught my eye.

The Juice is Loose shower gels fragrance is the same as the Grape Soda body spray as well as the, The Afterlife bath bomb from the same line.

Some of the ingredients contained in the, The Juice is Loose shower gel are, red clover flower infusion, glycerine, juniper berry oil, sweet wild orange and carrageenan extract.

The Juice is Loose shower gels scent is best described as quite an artificial one; Artificial however doesn’t mean it is an unpleasant scent. Grape Soda as a flavour is not as popular in the UK, as it is in the USA. I can therefore see this shower gel selling better in the USA compared to the UK, but time will tell!

While writing my review on the Grape Soda body spray I did a little research on the flavour/scent. I found out that American’s have more of a palate for fruity flavours that are more artificial or exaggerated compared to the British who are more accustomed to fruity flavours that are more natural and/or less intense.

Think of the, The Juice is Loose shower gels scent as a synthetic interpretation of grapes. It’s sour, tangy and very strong.

Consistency wise the, The Juice is Loose shower gel is incredibly runny. With a name like ‘The Juice is Loose’, this however was to be expected.

With it being so runny, I find myself accidentally using more of the shower gel than I normally would per shower, but it lathers up quickly and is soothing on your skin.

Mixed in with the steam and hot-shower-water the scent really takes over your bathroom, it’s a very strongly scented shower gel so probably better suited to someone that is into the stronger Lush scent families.

Once out of the shower the, The Juice is Loose scent remains on your skin for the best part of the rest of the day. The artificial element of the scent soon dampens down making it more tolerable for those that like their cosmetics scents to be a little more subtle. Overall, it’s a great edition to the Beetlejuice X Lush line!
