Pink Fizzes Good With Green Bath Bomb from Lush

As a huge fan of all things pink, the Pink Fizzes Good With Green Bath Bomb was the first product from the Wicked X Lush collaboration that caught my attention. I was lucky enough to receive one as a gift from Lush too.

With the highly anticipated release of the film Wicked, Lush have created a new range, jam packed with Oz inspired wonders…

Each product within the collection oozes of all things Oz and showcases some very unusual yet beautifully harmonious ingredient blends that shouldn’t work together, but somehow do… No other Lush collection has ever smelt so good.

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green Bath Bomb is mostly bright pink but has green and yellow salt crystals decorating it in a very similar way to the Mercury in Retrograde bath bomb. Think of it as a salt crystal helter-skelter that goes around the outside of the bath bomb.

Lush’s idea behind it was a story of two halves, Elphaba meets Glinda!

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb is the same size as the majority of Lush’s circular bath bombs fitting perfectly in my hand.

Some of the ingredients included in the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb are coarse sea salt, orris oil, rose oil, almond essential oil, cedarwood absolute, sesame seed absolute and vanilla absolute.

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb has a lot of ingredients which gives it a very complex fragrance. Describing scents is not one of my talents so I always get a little anxious when a Lush fragrance like this comes along…

You may be surprised to hear that this bath bombs scent is actually a mixture of two new Lush perfumes, I am led to believe it is a blend of the two new Wicked X Lush body sprays (that I will be reviewing separately very soon!)

Pink Fizzes Good With Greens scent has floral, woody and vanilla tones, it’s a very intense fragrance so better suited to customers that like scents that pack a punch.

As soon as the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb touches the water it begins to fizz away, at first the only colour that seems to come out of the bath bomb is bright pink, as it dissolves you can hear the salt crystals slowly fall to the bottom of your bath starting to soften the bath water almost immediately.

After about a minute orange foam begins to spill out of the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb too and then shortly after that, purple streaks too. The most dominant of the colours throughout is however the bright pink.

The photos in this review do the bath bomb no justice at all; The warming orange, purple and pink swirls created by the bath bomb were gorgeous.

I always find that bath art created by the bath bombs that have extra amounts of salt in like Pink Fizzes Good With Green, disappear a lot quicker than other bath bombs which is why I didn’t get any photos. You have to use Pink Fizzes Good With Green to truly appreciate it!

The Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb took just under ten minutes to fully dissolve, leaving behind silky soft, cloudy peach coloured bath water. To look at, it reminds me of fruit-and-barley summer fruits squash.

After leaving the bath, my skin felt smooth, appeared brighter and I could still smell it on my skin by the time I got in to bed. I’d used it quite early in the morning so for it to last so long shows just how strong a scent the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb has.

I found this bath bomb incredibly hydrating; My skin always feels so soothed and smooth when a bath bomb contains a generous helping of salt like the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb does.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed using the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb. I was surprised at just how much I did like it as I don’t always get on with the stronger Lush scents but the Pink Fizzes Good With Green bath bomb was beautiful in every ‘witch’ way!

Star Of Wonder Bath Bomb from Lush

The Star of Wonder Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited edition product from Lush’s 2024 Christmas line.

It is a shimmering gold, star-shaped bath bomb. Before now, we’ve had other star-shaped Christmas products such as the Stardust bath bomb and Star Light Star Bright bath melt.

While I wholeheartedly love both of the past products I just mentioned, I have to say that the Star of Wonder bath bomb has a lot more detail than both of them. It is beautiful!

The Star of Wonder bath bomb has the traditional, symmetrical five spike shape but also has a smaller gold star indentation in its middle.

Around the smaller middle star are little lines giving off the impression of a sparkling star.

Each Star of Wonder bath bomb is approximately 95g fitting snuggly in my hand.

Some of the ingredients included in the Star of Wonder bath bomb are coconut milk powder, cocoa absolute, peppermint oil and apparently, popping candy too.

The Star of Wonder bath bomb has a creamy sweet scent with a cool peppermint kick. It’s a very gentle scent that reminds me ever so slightly of a stick of rock.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to experience any of the popping candy that was supposed to be in the Star of Wonder bath bomb.

In fairness though, I didn’t even know the bath bomb included popping candy until it came down to writing this review, I can’t miss what I didn’t know was there, so I’m not too bothered. It would have however been nice to experience Star of Wonder how Lush had intended me to.

With sleepiness making up a big part of my personality, minty products like the Star of Wonder bath bomb always appeal to me because cooling mint never fails to wake you up when needed.

I love a minty product that blasts you awake but in Winter I don’t want a product that makes me feel too cold. The subtle mintyness of the Star of Wonder bath bomb makes it perfect for this time of year as it doesn’t leave your teeth chattering but still refreshes you.

As soon as the Star of Wonder bath bomb touches the water it begins to fizz away, releasing small bursts of colour from each pointed edge of the star.

Out of the Star of Wonder bath bomb comes the colours turquoise, dark blue, red and shimmery gold. As it dissolves, these colours soften out and blend, turning into shades of purple, pink and minty blue. Because of the bath bombs design, it spins as it fizzes away, the colours whirl along with it creating catherine-wheel-like, rainbow bath art.

The Star of Wonder bath bomb took just over five minutes to fully dissolve, leaving behind silky, milky-pink bath water.

After leaving the bath, my skin felt smooth, appeared brighter and I could still smell its creamy mint scent on my skin for a good few hours too.

I found this bath bomb incredibly hydrating so there was no need to moisturise with a body lotion after using it… (Lush, a body lotion with the same scent as this bath bomb would be a great idea though!)

I thoroughly enjoyed using the Star of Wonder bath bomb. As I said, I think mine was missing its popping candy but based on just its gentle yet refreshing scent, and the gorgeous colourful bath art it created I couldn’t recommend it enough

Lotus Blossom Bath Bomb from Lush

The Lotus Blossom Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited edition product from Lush’s 2024 Diwali line.

The Lotus Blossom bath bomb has been designed in the shape of a bright pink lotus flower; Each petal has small, embossed shimmering gold dots outlying its edges. Below its petals are the lotus flowers green leaves.

Each of the Lotus Blossom bath bombs are approximately 100g but are flat and therefore big enough to almost hide my hand.

Some of the ingredients included in the Lotus Blossom bath bomb are black pepper oil, clove bud oil, jasmine absolute, patchouli oil, and Australian sandalwood oil.

The Lotus Blossoms scent is very difficult to describe but I’m going to give it my best shot… To my nose, the most dominant ingredients in it are the black pepper, patchouli and sandalwood.

It’s a very warm and peppery fragrance with a sweet but woody base. At first, I wasn’t quite sure if I liked its scent, but it grew on me very quickly. There is something about this blend of ingredients that is slightly exotic too, it’s incredibly complex, the more you sniff the more scent layers seem to come through.

As soon as the Lotus Blossom bath bomb touches the water, you are greeted with an explosion of mostly hot pink foam. The green from the bath bombs leaf parts also foams up but the pink foam is definitely the star of the show, taking over the bath bomb, demanding to be seen.

With this bath bomb being flat, it doesn’t take long for the water to completely take over it. I was expecting a lot of bath art from this pink and green bath bomb but unfortunately after about a minute and a half the bath bomb sank.

When this happens to a really pigmented bath bomb like the Lotus Blossom it is a little disappointing but if a bath bomb does sink, I always like to lay back in the bath water and let the little bubbles of it dissolving away tickle my back; It’s strangely relaxing!

The Lotus Blossom bath bomb took just over seven minutes to fully dissolve, leaving you with plenty of time to lay back and relax in its warming, cloudy purple waters.

Its scent is a lot gentler on your skin once you are out of the bath but can still be detected on you several hours after. It also leaves your skin soft and hydrated as well as your mind completely relaxed.

This bath bomb really does capture the beauty and prosperity that the lotus flower holds. It’s an excellent product that I’d love to see come back year after year for Diwali!
