Trick or Treat Lip Scrub from Lush

The Trick or Treat Lip Scrub is a brand new, limited edition product from Lush’s 2021 Halloween line. I use Lush lip scrubs almost every day so whenever a new one comes out I always order myself a pot.

The main ingredient in all of Lush’s lip scrubs is caster sugar. To this day I am still lost for words that such a simple and natural mix of ingredients can do such a great job. It really does make me question why other cosmetic companies ever actively chose to use (the now banned) micro-plastics in their exfoliation products.

Lush’s lip scrubs are ridiculously underrated, if you’re on the fence about giving them a go I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Using Lush lip scrubs requires a minimum amount of effort, they cover everything your lips need to always look and feel great. They are the perfect product to exfoliate dry or chapped lips and are also very good at softening and hydrating them at the same time. Exfoliating your lips has so many benefits and with all thanks to Lush, has never been easier or tastier!

As well as caster sugar the Trick or Treat lip scrub also contains organic jojoba and lime oils. If you’re a fan of sour sweets, then Trick or Treat is the perfect lip scrub for you. Its scent is nose-wrinklingly-sour and is just like a freshly cut lime. Taking its lid off and having a sniff feels like the very first swig of a really fizzy drink, it literally tickles your nose.

Trick or Treat lip scrub tastes just as good as it smells too; I just can’t get enough. It’s obviously not meant to be eaten but if a little does end up in your mouth while you are scrubbing your lips with it you don’t need to worry.

The Trick or Treat lip scrub is a stunning shade of lime green. Ordinarily, I tend to favour the lighter more natural coloured lip scrubs over the brightly coloured ones because I find the highly pigmented scrubs can sometimes leave your lips with a tinge of whatever colour the lip scrub is.

The biggest culprit of colour transfer in my opinion is the Galaxy lip scrub. Trick or Treat is clearly another very brightly coloured lip scrub however I am pleased to report that during use, I haven’t had any colour transfer from it at all.

The only negative thing about the Trick or Treat lip scrub is that it’s not as hydrating as other Lush lip scrubs. This minor inconvenience is however soon solved with a quick dab of lip balm.

Overall I really like the Trick or Treat lip scrub, it’s a stand out product from this year’s Halloween line. It’s a brilliant lip exfoliator and it is definitely all treat and no trick!
