Let The Good Times Roll Shower Gel from Lush

The Let The Good Times Roll Shower Gel is one of six that Lush are releasing a limited amount of on the Lush app on the 26th of June 2024 and online on the 28th. They will also be available in selected Lush flagship stores.

The Let The Good Times Roll shower gel doesn’t look how I expected it to look at all, I wrongly imagined that it would look like what the Super Milk and Sultana shower gels do BUT it’s more like the beautifully sparkly and golden, Golden Egg shower gel from Lush’s Easter line!

Let The Good Times Roll isn’t quite as shimmery as Golden Egg but it’s pretty enough to catch my attention.

When I first saw what six shower gels were coming out, it was definitely the Let The Good Times Roll shower gel I was most excited to try…

Consistency wise the Let The Good Times Roll shower gel is a little runny, I recommend giving it a good shake before using it as this does thicken it up a bit.

I haven’t heard for sure, but I believe the shimmer side of the Let The Good Times Roll shower gel is a similar formula to that found in both the Magik and Passion shower gels.

If it is the same, it’s a new shower gel innovation that Lush have recently come up with so that the sparkly ingredient in the shower gels won’t separate in the bottle like past, sparkly Lush shower gels have done.

The Let The Good Times Roll shower gel contains plenty of skin hydrating glycerine, fine sea salt and polenta infusion.

My first experience with the Let The Good Times Roll scent was in its fresh face and body cleanser format. Since, I have also enjoyed it in products such as the Nana shower gelYummy Custard body washPop Art bath bomb and most recently the Let The Good Times Roll body lotion too.

The Let The Good Times Roll scent is best described as just like freshly popped, toffee popcorn. It’s delicious, warm, and incredibly moreish. I’m not normally a lover of sweet scents but Let The Good Times Roll is just too yummy not to fall in love with.

The Let The Good Times Roll shower gel lathers up easily and because it’s not very thick, a small amount of it goes a very long way.

Mixed in with the steam and hot-shower-water the scent really takes hold, taking over your bathroom. I admit I found myself using a little more of the shower gel than necessary just because it felt so nice on my skin!

I found the Let The Good Times Roll shower gel incredibly moisturising. The added glycerine really helps lock the moisture into your skin. 24 hours later my skin still feels incredible.

Once out of the shower the Let The Good Times Roll scent remains on your skin for a good few hours, although it is not as strong on your skin, it is still detectable. Overall, I LOVE the Let The Good Times Roll shower gel, It’s a huge improvement on the super runny Nana shower gel that shares its scent. I’ll be sad to see it go.

Iconic Door Bath Bomb from Lush

The Iconic Door Bath Bomb is a brand-new product from the 2024 World Bath Bomb Day collection.

It’s designed in the shape of the door from the Lush store where it all began, 29 High Street, Poole. AKA the first ever Lush shop in the world!

The Iconic Door bath bomb is an arched-door-shaped, white coloured bath bomb that is smothered in golden shimmer…

At its top is the famous 29½ door number. One day I’d love to actually see the door in real life but for now I will just enjoy it through this incredible bath bomb.

The Iconic Door bath bomb contains jasmine absolute, Siicilian lemon oil, lime oil, sandalwood oil, tonka absolute and ylang ylang oil.

Iconic Doors scent smells just like a Lush shop, the Lush scent family it belongs to is called 29 High Street (after the first store) and was purposely designed to emulate exactly how a Lush-shop smells.

There’s a 29 High Street shower gel that shares its scent which I promise to review on here as soon as I can unpack my shower gels (that are temporarily in storage).

You’ll probably most recently recognise the scent from the Aubergine bath bomb though!

Each Iconic Door bath bomb is approximately 100g each making it one of the smaller bath bombs that Lush currently have available, BUT if there’s one thing that Lush has taught me over the years it is that size doesn’t dictate a products quality.

As soon as the Iconic Door bath bomb meets your bath water it begins to fizzle away, white bubbles spill out of it before small streams of blue bubbles start to erupt from it too.

What’s so magical about this bath bomb is that when it is dry it is white but once it encounters any moisture, it turns blue.

I’m not sure of the exact science behind it but it’s a new innovation that I’d love to see more of in future bath bombs. What a lovely and unexpected twist!

The Iconic Door bath bomb dissolves in just three minutes, turning your bath water an aqua green colour with golden shimmer throughout.

Immediately after the bath bomb has dissolved, there is a collection of thin white bubbles floating on the surface of the water still. It almost looks like a crackle effect, which immediately reminds me of the end result you get from the Thundersnow bath bomb.

The crackly bath art soon disappears, and you’re left with silky soft, Lush-store-scented bath water. The scent also remains on your skin for a good few hours after using it.

A soak in an Iconic Door bath leaves your skin lightly scented, refreshed and hydrated. I love this bath bomb and have my fingers crossed that Lush release similar colour changing products in the future!

Super Milk Shower Gel from Lush

The Super Milk Shower Gel is one of six that Lush are releasing a limited amount of on the Lush app on 26th of June 2024. They will also be available in selected Lush flagship stores.

I was lucky enough to get the Super Milk shower gel early as Lush gifted me a bottle of it, along with a bottle of the Guardian of the Forest shower gel too.

The Super Milk shower gel is a creamy white colour and has a slightly runny consistency, I recommend giving it a shake before using it as I find this helps thicken it up a little.

The Super Milk shower gel contains almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, fine sea salt, litsea cubeba oil, tonka absolute, vanilla absolute, fresh lemon juice and bucketloads of glycerine making it incredibly moisturising.

Its scent is best described as sherbet like, it also has noticeable layers of sweet vanilla and tonka, when sniffing it straight from the bottle it reminds me of fizzy sweets.

I haven’t reviewed any of the other Super Milk scented products yet but promise to do one on the perfume equivalent soon. The first product that came out with its scent was actually a hair conditioning spray. A few years ago the conditioning spray went viral on TikTok and now here we are with a shower gel equivalent!

The Super Milk shower gel lathers up easily and because it’s not very thick a small amount of it goes a long way.

Mixed in with the steam and hot-shower-water the scent really comes to life. I admit I found myself using a little more of the shower gel than necessary just because it felt so nice on my skin.

Once out of the shower the Super Milk scent remains on your skin for the best part of the rest of the day, although it is not as strong on your skin it is still very noticeable.

I had used it in the early afternoon and my husband could smell it on me when he got home from work at about 7pm.

Overall, I LOVE the Super Milk shower gel, I hope Lush decide to rerelease it as a part of their all year-round range eventually as its scent is to die for. It’s my favourite Super Milk scented product so far.

My favourite thing about it is how it leaves your skin feeling. The trio of plant-based milks included in the Super Milk shower gel really go to town on skin hydration, there’s no need to moisturise after using it.

It isn’t at all oily either. soaking right into your skin leaving it looking its best. I will be using this shower gel a lot over the next few weeks with the hot weather finally arriving in the UK, I suspect it would be especially good to use in colder months too, my skin is always a little dryer come Wintertime.
