You Are My Sunshine Shower Jelly from Lush

The You Are My Sunshine Shower Jelly is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2025 Mother’s Day line.

The You Are My Sunshine shower jelly is a radiant, yellowish gold colour and is in the shape of a stylised sun (see below photo). In ways, it could also pass for a little golden flower.

Each of the You Are My Sunshine shower jellies are 210g which is more than a handful, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth!

The You Are My Sunshine shower jelly contains some of the following ingredients: glycerine, fresh lemon infusion, carrageenan extract, organic sweet orange oil, buchu oil, litsea cubeba oil, olibanum resinoid and champaca absolute.

You Are My Sunshine shares its scent with the Thermal Waves bath bomb and Peaches body spray. The best way to describe its scent is a fruity burst of both peach and pineapple. It’s an incredibly uplifting scent that is sweet and not too in your face. It’s a good option for customers who prefer lighter scents.

Straight out of the pot the You Are My Sunshine shower jelly has a warm, sherbet-fruit like scent, it is almost as if it has a slight fizziness to it. The more you sniff the fizzier the scent seems to get.

With You Are My Sunshine being a novelty shaped shower jelly, I wondered how long it would last as unfortunately I find more often than not, that the novelty shaped jellies aren’t always as sturdy and robust as the normal, pot-shaped-ones.

Luckily, the You Are My Sunshine shower jelly is bulky enough that after three uses there has been no sign of any wear and tear. I know for sure that this shower jelly is going to last me a good few months!

There is no right or wrong way to use a shower jelly, I prefer to use mine in the same way as you would a bar of soap, whole. Some people however chop their shower jellies up using a few pieces at a time, this is a good method if you’re sharing it with someone else.

Although, with this shower jelly being so big and bulky, if your hands are on the smaller side like mine, cutting it in half would be quite a good idea as it will be easier to handle.

Once you’ve used your shower jelly simply rinse it off and then pop it back into the pot leaving it ready and waiting for you when you next want to use it.

The You Are My Sunshine shower jelly lathers up effortlessly, transforming into a silky foam that glides over your skin, cleansing and refreshing as it goes.

Its delicate yet uplifting peach-and-pineapple fragrance although subtle, still manages to fill your bathroom with its sunny scent, making every shower feel like a little slice of Summer.

Stepping out of the shower, my skin feels soft, refreshed, and wonderfully smooth. Its fruity scent also lingers, gently perfuming your skin for a good few hours after use.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the You Are My Sunshine shower jelly. It’s quite literally sunshine in a pot – pure, mood-boosting joy in a yummy shower jelly form!

Shaun The Sheep Bath Bomb from Lush

The Shaun the Sheep X Lush collaboration is finally out! In partnership with Aardman, Lush have created six fresh, fully vegan products – each of them a tribute to Shaun the Sheep and the charming characters from his world.

Today I am reviewing the Shaun The Sheep Bath Bomb, I was lucky enough to receive one in a PR box from Lush.

The Shaun the Sheep bath bomb is based on the main character and star of the show. The bath bomb is Shaun’s face, he has a playful chewing expression, a fluffy white top (his wool) and two large cartoonish eyes.

As with all Lush products, the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb is completely handmade, even the finer details of Shaun’s face and eyes are sprayed on by hand!

Each of the Shaun the Sheep bath bombs are approximately 135g, fitting snuggly in my hand.

I have yet to review any items that share their scent with the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb so cannot link any here BUT the scent-family it is a part of is Lush’s Summer Blues.

The Shaun the Sheep bath bomb contains some of the following ingredients: Rose absolute, orange flower absolute, lemongrass oil, jasmine absolute, coconut milk powder and olive oil.

The Summer Blue’s scent is a stunning blend of both floral and citrus notes, the sweet orange flower and zesty lemongrass bring a refreshing and uplifting energy while the rose absolute and jasmine adds a softness.

It’s both a soothing and brightening fragrance that perfectly captures the Summer season.

With the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb being just black and white on the outside I was expecting similar bath art to the Humbug bath bomb, I was however very wrong…

As soon as the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb touches your bath water there is an explosion of white foam. It doesn’t take very long for black and grey foam to fizzle out of it too.

After about sixty seconds, the black foam stops, and suddenly grass-green foam starts to spill out of the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb instead (not what I was expecting at all!)

The bath art from the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb is incredible, it only took three minutes to fully dissolve but in that short space of time, the prettiest of white and green swirls decorated the surface of my bath water.

My photos in this review do the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb no justice at all. Underneath the pretty white and green swirls, the bath water turns an inviting shade of kiwi green.

The green water left behind feels unbelievably soft. After a good soak, my skin appears brighter and smoother, I’d go as far as to say that it has a healthy glow that lasts long after I’ve got out of the bath.

After using Shaun the Sheep, though the scent is subtle, it lingers beautifully on my skin for most of the day.

Overall, I loved the Shaun the Sheep bath bomb. The bath art was incredible, and I hope Lush decide to bring more products out in its scent soon. I can’t wait to try the rest of the Shaun the Sheep X Lush range now!

Posh Chocolate Body Lotion from Lush

At the time of writing this review the Posh Chocolate Body Lotion has only ever been available in Lush’s Posh Choc gift set…

The Posh Chocolate fragrance is one of Lush’s newer scent families. We first got to experience it back in 2021 through the oh-so-delicious Posh Chocolate body wash.

Since the Posh Chocolate body wash came out, Posh Chocolate has become one of Lush’s bestselling scents and has been released in several other product formats; We’ve had the Posh Chocolate shower gelPosh Chocolate body scrub and the Lady Danbury bath bomb just to name a few.

The Posh Chocolate scent is best described as a ‘true feast for the senses’, straight from the bottle the Posh Chocolate body lotion smells just like a tub of hazelnut and cocoa spread, it’s mouth wateringly good!

The Posh Chocolate body lotion is a chocoholics dream product… BUT, before anyone asks (and believe me they do) no you can’t eat Lush products (even the ones that smell as good as this Posh Chocolate body lotion) what you can however do with the Posh Chocolate body lotion is slather it all over your body!

The Posh Chocolate body lotion contains some of the following ingredients: hazelnut milk, sunflower oil, organic jojoba oil, hazelnut oil, glycerine, fair trade organic cocoa butter, organic illipe butter, cocoa absolute and cocoa powder.

As I mentioned earlier, this body lotion is only available in the Posh Choc gift set. In this gift set it comes in a 100g bottle – which in my personal opinion is a crime, having so little means I am rationing it…

I have my fingers crossed that Lush see sense and release the Posh Chocolate body lotion in larger quantities and outside of the gift set very soon!

Colour wise, the Posh Chocolate body lotion is lighter than I imagined it to be, especially when comparing it to other Posh Chocolate scented Lush products. Instead of chocolate-cake-brown, it is a very light shade of brown, almost cream.

Whenever I see a Lush body lotion sold in a bottle instead of a standard black-Lush-pot, I think it may be because the lotion has a super runny consistency. Posh Chocolate is however thick and creamy, much like the recently released Let the Good Times Roll body lotion.

Consistency wise it is a very good body lotion – it’s not too thick that it takes ages to absorb into your skin and not so runny that it spills everywhere when trying to get it out of the bottle.

With it only being available in a 100g bottle, it’s a good thing you only need a small amount each time you use it. Once the body lotion meets your skin, it simply glides across it like butter in a hot pan…

One of my favourite things about Lush products is that so many of them can be spread out over several uses, their products may be a little more expensive because you’re paying for important extras like ethically sourced ingredients, but you really do get a lot of product for your money when so little of it goes so far.

After use, the scent of the Posh Chocolate body lotion remains on your skin all day. As for the condition of your skin, it leaves it silky soft and so well-nourished, there isn’t anything more that you could possibly need out of a body lotion. Posh Chocolate is perfect!
