Hello Kitty Bath Bomb from Lush

I love cats, so a Hello Kitty X Lush collab was a dream come true for me, I knew as soon as I heard that it was being released that I had to try it all!

The Hello Kitty Bath Bomb is one of eight limited edition products from Lush’s new Hello Kitty and Friends X Lush range and it’s every bit as cute as you’d expect.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a Hello Kitty bath bomb from Lush.

Shaped in the main characters face; The Hello Kitty bath bomb features all of Hello Kitty’s signature details, from her single red bow to her little yellow nose!

For those that aren’t familiar with the world of Hello Kitty; Hello Kitty is one of the most famous cartoon-cats in the world. The bath bomb looks just like the cartoon Hello Kitty, so much so that it’s hard to believe it is handmade!

The Hello Kitty bath bomb is bright white with two little black eyes, she has three black whiskers either side – as well as the above mentioned signature red bow and little yellow nose.

Each of the Hello Kitty bath bombs fit snuggly in my hand and are approximately 130g.

Her red bow is actually a bath melt stuck to her head, it is made of hydrating illipe butter and her cute yellow nose is a tapioca pearl!

The Hello Kitty bath bomb has a new fragrance (well kind of) it is a combination of two of Lush’s bestselling scent families, Snow Fairy and Milky Bath.

The bath bomb has the bubblegum sweetness of Snow Fairy and the musky-clean-smell of Milky Bath, it’s a very clean smelling, sweet and sugary blend that will leave you wanting more.

Other products in the Hello Kitty and Friends X Lush collaboration share the same fragrance but in this bath bomb format I feel as if Milky Bath is the more dominant of the two scent families within it.

The Hello Kitty bath bomb contains some of the following ingredients: illipe butter, kokum butter, Brazilian orange oil, patchouli oil, benzoin resinoid, vanilla absolute and a single tapioca pearl.

As soon as the Hello Kitty bath bomb touches the water there is an explosion of white foam. It doesn’t take very long for the red, bath-melt-bow to start to melt too; Slowly spreading tiny streaks of red across the now thinner, white foam decorating the water’s surface.

The Hello Kitty bath bomb didn’t create much bath art, but it did throw out a lot more colour than I had expected. The white and red combined, slowly turn the bath water a beautiful shade of barley pink.

With thanks to Hello Kitty’s bath-melt-bow, the water left behind is absolutely perfect for hydrating your skin, because of this I took the opportunity to shave my legs while having my soak, and I’ve never had a smoother shave.

By the end of the bath the scent had almost all but gone from both my skin and the bathroom, the softness and way it left my skin however lasted right through to the next day.

Overall, I loved this bath bomb and am looking forward to trying the other products in the Hello Kitty and Friends range, especially those that share the same scent as this bath bomb!
