Pumpkin Crumble Bubble Bar from Lush

The Pumpkin Crumble Bubble Bar is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Halloween line. Designed like a macaroon, this bubble bar has 2 pieces of bubble bar sandwiched together with a generous dollop of organic cocoa butter.

It has been designed to look like your typical Halloween carved pumpkin, it has triangle shaped eyes and plenty of sharp teeth showing as it sinisterly smiles away.

If you’ve been a Lush customer for a while, you are more than likely to recognise the Pumpkin Crumble’s scent as it is the same as the Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime and Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar

The Pumpkin Crumble bubble bars are approximately a whopping 170g each making them just a little bit smaller than the bestselling larger Lush bubbles bars the, The Comforter and Brightside.

The Pumpkin Crumble bubble bar contains pumpkin puree, shea and organic cocoa butter and the following essential oils, grapefruit, juniper berry and lime. Lush’s website describes it as the ‘perfect pumpkin-spiced Halloween bubble bath.’

The spicy juniper berry in Pumpkin Crumble warms you up while the grapefruit in it uplifts and brightens your mood. Its scent is incredibly moreish. I do not drink caffeine, but I have been told that the Pumpkin Crumble bubble bar smells just like the pumpkin spice used in the autumn classic hot drink, the pumpkin spiced latte.

To use the Pumpkin Crumble bubble bar, I put broken up pieces of it into a sieve and let the running bath-water trickle over it. I find this the most effective way to use Lush’s single use bubble bars.

This method is also the best way to ensure none of the bubble bar gets accidentally wasted and through trial and error, I have found that this method makes the most bubbles.

The one thing that I love about Lush’s bubble bars over their bath bombs is that they can easily be spread out over several baths. With Pumpkin Crumble being like a macaroon it’s really easy to split in half.

You can get 2 heavily bubbled bubble baths out of each side of the Pumpkin Crumble bubble bar making it excellent value for money. Even splitting it 4 ways doesn’t compromise on its scent-quality which is often the case if you try to spread a bubble bar out a little too much.

It doesn’t take long for the blanket of fluffy white bubble to form.

Underneath the blanket of fluffy, white bubbles the water turns a bright-pumpkin- orange, if you’re looking for autumnal bath water, Pumpkin Crumble is the bath product you need to try!

A Pumpkin Crumble bubble-bar-bath leaves your skin feeling silky and perfectly hydrated. Its scent lasts on your skin for the best part of the rest of the day too.

I always write this in all of my product reviews of products that share a scent with the Pumpkin Crumble bubble bar, and I won’t stop now, Lush, we need a body lotion in this scent!

Overall, I am glad Lush released this. It’s nice to try something a little different from the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar and Pumpkin Crumble is so much more hydrating on your skin. I adore it.

I hope Lush bring out more Sparkly Pumpkin/Pumpkin Crumble scented products soon, as I said earlier, we need a body lotion equivalent, and a shower gel would sell brilliantly too!

Screaming Banshee Bath Bomb from Lush

The Screaming Banshee Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2023 Halloween line.

It is inspired by the banshee from Irish folklore; The banshee is said to be a fairy-like-woman or female spirit whose mouth is permanently open and screaming the most grief-stricken of screams, the scream is said to mark someone’s impending death.

If the thought of a banshee doesn’t make your blood run a little colder than normal, you’re a braver person than me. I don’t think there’s ever been a scarier Halloween product…Weighing in at only 85g the Screaming Banshee is one of the smaller and therefore cheaper bath bombs from the 2023 Halloween line.

The Screaming Banshee bath bomb contains plenty of popping candy as well as sea salt, apple powder, bergamot oil, grapefruit oil and almond essential oil.

It shares its scent with the Space Girl bath bomb, the most recently released products that also share the same scent as the Screaming Banshee bath bomb are Halloween 2020’s, Very Very Frightening shower gel as well as the Asteroid bath bomb and Asteroid City shower gel.

The ‘Space Girl’ scent family is a much-loved Lush fragrance that I’m always happy to see make an appearance in any product format.

The scent of the Screaming Banshee bath bomb is not an easy one to describe, it reminds me of a pot of raspberry yogurt, it’s sherbet-sweet and mouth-wateringly good. Lush have previously described the scent as a ‘nostalgic scent of blackcurrant’ although, as I said earlier, it reminds me of raspberries more than it does blackcurrants.

It is not an overpowering fragrance like some Lush scents often are. It would be a very good choice if you prefer the softer Lush scent-families.

As soon as the Screaming Banshee bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with a burst of light and dark blue colour.

The Screaming Banshee bath bomb is not fantastic bath-art-wise BUT does turn the bath water an inviting shade of chamomile blue. It doesn’t take long for the popping candy to make an appearance either; Crackling and popping as the bath bomb fizzes away. After just under 10 minutes, the bath bomb fully dissolves.

I found the chamomile blue waters left behind by the Screaming Banshee bath bomb silky smooth and incredibly refreshing. It’s raspberry-like-scent can also still be detected on your skin long after getting out of the bath which surprised me as it is a very small bath bomb.

My skin still felt soft and hydrated for the whole of the next day after using it too.

I really enjoyed the Screaming Banshee bath bomb, I like that it is one of the more affordable bath bombs from this year’s Halloween collection and that it has such a great scent, I’d have maybe liked a bit more bath art out of it but other than that I think it’s a fantastic addition to the Halloween line.

Sparkly Pumpkin Shower Slime from Lush

With a name like ‘shower slime’, the product is to-say-the-least quite a conversation starter. I have heard mixed reviews on the concept of shower slime product format BUT, I have yet to hear a single negative review from anyone who has actually given a shower slime a go.

Today I will be reviewing the Sparkly Pumpkin Shower Slime. The Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime first made an appearance in Lush’s 2022 Halloween line and is set to make a return for Halloween 2023. It shares its scent with another much-loved Halloween product the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar.

The only annoying aspect of shower slimes (from a practical point of view) is that they are potted. With me being disabled most of the time it’s just easier to reach for a bottled shower gel as they are easier to get out when you and your hands all wet!

The Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime contains grapefruit oil, Juniper berry oil, lime oil, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh orange juice and plenty of corn starch. This unique blend of essential oils makes the Sparkly Pumpkins scent a woody and gentle citrus blend, I find myself feeling really uplifted after using it as well as my skin feeling soft, clean, and refreshed.

If you favour Lush products with a more subtle scent, then Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime would be a great choice for you.

Shower slimes work in the same way as a shower gel, they are very slime-like BUT great at leaving your skin clean and refreshed. A small amount of the Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime goes a very long way making it great value for money. Shower slimes have a lot of corn starch in them which is what gives them that slightly thicker, tacky, milky-dough-like-consistency.

With just a little bit of water the Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime easily lathers up into something that better resembles as a shower gel. The shower slime is not at all sticky and as stated above just feels like a tacky, slightly thicker shower gel.

Out of all of the shower slimes Lush have released before this, none of them have been quite as inviting as the bright orange Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime. You’ll find yourself using more than is necessary just because of its gorgeous bright colour.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the Sparkly Pumpkin shower slime, I’d go as far as to say it is my favourite shower slime that Lush have released so far. I am glad to see that it is making a return for this year’s Halloween line (2023).
