Edamummy Bean Bath Bomb from Lush

Year in, year out, Lush never fail to surprise me with their quirky, unique, well thought out products, the Edamummy Bean Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product released as a part of Lush’s 2025 Mother’s Day range.

Edamummy Bean is of course a play on words for edamame beans.

Weighing in at approximately 100g, it is slightly larger than the Love Letter bath bomb.

Edamummy Bean is a vibrant green, ‘snap pea’ shaped bath bomb. The two peas in its pod both have two eyes and a mouth, and they are looking at each other smiling.

This Mother’s Day, edamame-bean-shaped bath bomb was inspired by the way all of the beans in an edamame pod grow together in a safe space. It symbolises the journey of motherhood, where both parent and child grow and learn side by side, finding comfort in each other’s company.

Colour wise, the Edamummy Bean bath bomb is a very similar green to one of last year’s Mother’s Day products the Mother Nature bath bomb.

The Edamummy Bean bath bomb contains some of the following ingredients: bergamot oil, geranium oil, carob resinoid and pea; Rice and hemp protein powder.

It has a brand new scent; The blend of geranium and carob resinoid replicate the smell of a toffee apple. It’s very sweet and a little smoky too. Think burnt toffee but in a good way!

The Edamummy Bean bath bomb fits snuggly in my hand and being one of Lush’s smaller bath bombs, it’s cheaper price will appeal to the masses.

Lush have been creating more and more smaller bath bombs recently, and I’m all for it! Just because they’re small doesn’t mean they will be any less magical than the bigger ones…

As soon as the Edamummy Bean bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with an explosion of hissing green foam.

The Edamummy Bean bath bomb doesn’t offer much bath-art-wise being all green throughout BUT, its delicate toffee apple scent and way it softens your bath water makes it a must try.

The burnt toffee element of this bath bombs fragrance really shines through once you place it into the water, the scent fills your bathroom as it quickly dissolves away.

The last part of the bath bomb to be taken over by the water are the two peas, they are smiling and looking at each other lovingly until the very end!

It takes approximately four minutes for the Edamummy Bean bath bomb to completely dissolve, the water left behind is a bold green and makes your bath water silky smooth and incredibly hydrating.

Its scent lingers in your bathroom once you’ve pulled the plug and can still be smelt on your skin (although subtly) long after getting out of the bath too.

Overall, I absolutely adore the Edamummy Bean bath bomb, the inspiration behind it is a perfect representation of what a family should be. Simple yet beautiful products like the Edamummy bath bomb makes you realise that big, multicoloured bath bombs aren’t always the best ones.

Blooming Beautiful Chamomile Bath Bomb from Lush

For Mother’s Day 2024, Lush have created three Blooming Beautiful bath bombs. Each have a different scent and they come in either a pink, yellow or a blue.

Today I am reviewing the blue one, the Blooming Beautiful Chamomile Bath Bomb.

Each of the Blooming Beautiful bath bombs are decorated with the same white petaled daisy on its top.

When the 2024 Mother’s Day collection was first announced, the Blooming Beautiful bath bombs were the first of the new limited-edition products to catch my attention. The daisy hat that each of them wear is so detailed. It could almost be a real daisy.

Looking at the bath bombs through Lush’s website they look almost too good for them to be handmade. Yet, they are!

The Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb is a striking shade of blue and contains the following ingredients: Roman chamomile oil, Sicilian lemon oil and styrax resinoid.

Out of the three Blooming Beautiful bath bombs, Blooming Beautiful Chamomile is the one with the lightest fragrance.

With the bath bombs scent being so gentle, it is perfect for customers that don’t like anything that smells too intense.

Before I had the bath bomb in my hands, I imagined that the Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb’s scent would be chamomile led, I was therefore surprised when my nose seemed to only pick up on the Sicilian lemon in it.

As soon as the Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with a hiss of blue foam.

The Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb doesn’t offer anything too artsy bath-art-wise, but it does create lots of mostly blue and white bubbles, there are also a small number of yellow bubbles as it dissolves away too.

While the bath bomb dances around your bath, the lemon and chamomile oil in the bath bomb seem to get a little stronger but the scent is still incredibly subtle. It reminds me of the scented wipes you get given sometimes after you’ve finished eating in certain restaurants.

Amazingly, the Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb took just over 15 minutes to fully dissolve, I found myself topping up the bath with hot water as it tinkered away.

The waters left behind by the Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb were a very inviting shade of sky blue. The waters also feel super silky in an almost creamy way.

A good soak in a Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath left my skin feeling much softer and helped my body to relax. It’s a very good bath bomb to use to wind down after a long day, or just to get you in the perfect frame of mind for a restful night’s sleep.

The scent wasn’t at all detectable on my skin once I was all dried off, but my skin remained silky smooth for the best part of the rest of the day.

Overall, I did enjoy using the Blooming Beautiful Chamomile bath bomb, but I personally like bath bombs with a little more to give scent and bath art wise.

Blooming Beautiful Marigold Bath Bomb from Lush

For Mother’s Day 2024, Lush have created three Blooming Beautiful bath bombs. Each have a different scent and they come in either a pink, yellow or a blue.

Today I am reviewing the yellow one, the Blooming Beautiful Marigold Bath Bomb.

Looking at the bath bombs through Lush’s website it’s always so hard to believe that they are all handmade.

The Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb is bright yellow and contains, bergamot oil, buchu oil, grapefruit oil and tagetes oil and shares its scent with another recently released limited edition product, the Cempasúchil bath bomb.

I’d however say that Blooming Beautiful Marigold isn’t nearly as strongly scented as Cempasúchil was.

Blooming Beautiful Marigolds scent is a very light and refreshing, warm, fruity fragrance. If you like the Lush products that aren’t in-your-face smelly, Blooming Beautiful Marigold would be a great choice for you.

I usually buy two of each bath bomb and out of the three Blooming Beautiful bath bombs, the Marigolds were the only ones that both arrived without a broken or crumbly daisy on its top.

As soon as the Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with a hiss of yellow coloured foam.

The Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb doesn’t offer anything too artsy bath-art-wise, but it does create lots of yellow and white bubbles as it dissolves away.

While the bath bomb dances around your bath, its scent seems to be watered down even more which was a little bit disappointing.

Amazingly, the Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb took over 15 minutes to fully dissolve, I found myself topping up the bath with hot water as it fizzed away.

The waters left behind by the Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb were a crazy-bright yellow, so bright that I thought it was glowing!

The waters of the Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb were also incredibly soft, a good soak in it left my skin feeling smooth and my body super relaxed. It’s a very good bath bomb to use to get you ready for the changing of Winter into Spring.

The scent wasn’t at all detectable on my skin once I was all dried off, but my skin remained silky smooth to the touch.

Overall, I did enjoy using the Blooming Beautiful Marigold bath bomb, it allowed me to get some beautiful floral photos, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy another based on how weak its scent was.
