Glow In The Dark Shower Gel from Lush

The Glow In The Dark Shower Gel is yet another brand new Lush shower gel and comes from Lush’s Halloween 2024 collection.

I am now going to answer the very first question that everyone asks when they hear about/see this shower gel. The answer is yes, it really does glow in the dark.

The Glow In The Dark shower gel is an extension of and inspired by Lush’s Halloween soap favourite (that also glows in the dark) – the Ghost In The Dark soap.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a bottle of Glow In The Dark shower gel by Lush but have bought another bottle since. A very clear indication that I do really like it…

Lush have released so many amazing new shower gels this year and Glow In The Dark is up near the very top of my list of favourites for 2024.

We’ve actually had shower gels that share the same scent as Glow In The Dark before; The Glitch shower gel being the most recent.

Other readily available products that share this shower gels scent are the Avobath bath bomb and at the time of writing this review the Ghostie bath bomb too.

The Glow In The Dark shower gel is bright white, to get it to glow in the dark all you need to do is charge it under some light then turn the light off!

Consistency wise the Glow In The Dark shower gel is quite thick but still very easy to get out of the bottle.

Some of the ingredients included in Glow In The Dark shower gel are lemongrass infusion, fine sea salt, a phosphorescent powder (the magic that makes it glow in the dark), fresh lemon juice, lemongrass oil and bergamot oil.

Glow In The Dark’s scent is a bright and uplifting, citrusy scent. The scent is not quite as sharp in the shower gel form as it is in the Avobath bath bomb; There’s an almost muskiness to it but all in all, it’s definitely a member of the Avobath scent family.

The Glow In The Dark shower gel lathers up easily and because it’s quite thick I imagined you’d have to use more to get the most out of it but a small amount of it seems to go a very long way.

Mixed in with the steam and hot-shower-water the scent really takes over your bathroom although again, it’s not as strongly scented as the bath bomb equivalent.

Once out of the shower the Glow In The Dark scent remains on your skin for a good few hours, although it is subtle, it is still detectable. Overall, I have enjoyed using the Glow In The Dark shower gel, the glow in the dark aspect of it, makes it fun to use too!
