The Whispering Heart Bath Bomb is a brand-new, limited-edition product from Lush’s 2024 Valentine’s Day line.
Whispering Heart is one of the sweetest looking bath bombs from this year’s Valentine’s Day range. It’s mainly hot pink in colour and has a red heart on its top, right in the middle of the red heart is a heart shaped hole (unfortunately none of mine look quite as good as those featured on Lush’s website) but that’s the shape that the hole in my photos of this bath bomb should be.
Lush’s website says you’re meant to ‘whisper your heart’s desire into this sweet and fruity-fragranced Valentine’s Day bath bomb.’ which explains the purpose of the heart hole!

Weighing in at approximately 180g each, the Whispering Heart bath bomb is the standard sized Lush bath bomb, it fits snuggly in my hand.
The Whispering Heart bath bomb contains Epsom salts, bergamot oil and Brazilian orange oil. Its scent is a part of the Rhubarb and Custard Lush-scent-family, but the scent has only ever been released in a soap format before now.
I have been dreading writing this part of the review on the Whispering Heart bath bomb as I really don’t know where to begin when describing its scent. As I stated earlier, the bath bomb is fragranced with Lush’s Rhubarb and custard scent-family.
In ways its scent does remind me of rhubarb and custard sweets but it’s a lot stronger and less creamy, it’s how I’d imagine a rhubarb and custard slushie-ice-drink would smell. (I hope that makes sense…)

My nose doesn’t pick up on anything rhubarb, but I can’t smell or taste rhubarb in rhubarb and custard boiled sweets either so that’s not a negative!
It’s a very moreish scent that works brilliantly in the bath bomb format.
As soon as the Whispering Heart bath bomb touches the water you are greeted with a thick burst of pink foam, very quickly the foam thins out and looks more like what I have captured in the photo above.
As the bath bomb floats around your bath, red and hot-pink foam spills out of it.

Once in the water the bath bombs scent engulfs your bathroom, I could see the scent selling well in a perfume format.
Halfway through the bath bomb fizzing away, the red heart shaped part of the bath bomb separates from the pink bit creating 2 different lots of swirls, one red, the other pink.
The bath art isn’t as colourful as some Lush bath bombs, but it did create a small amount of red and pink circles as seen in the photo below. The Whispering Heart bath bomb takes approximately 15 minutes to fully dissolve and turns your bath water a bold and very bright shade of raspberry pink.
I found the waters left behind by the Whispering Heart bath bomb really warming on your skin.

The scent remains in your bathroom (although a lot more subtle) long after you pull the plug and lasts on your skin for the best part of the rest of the day too.
My skin felt clean, refreshed, and appeared brighter after soaking in the water left behind by the Whispering Heart bath bomb.
I think my favourite thing about the Whispering Heart bath bomb is the colour of the water once it has fully dissolved. I couldn’t help but feel invited in by the raspberry pink water and its sweet and fruity scent!
I really enjoyed using the Whispering Heart bath bomb, it isn’t my favourite from this year’s Valentine’s day range but with pink being my favourite colour I was always going to buy a few to use.
