The Grape Soda Body Spray is one of six exclusive body sprays that Lush have recently released a limited amount of. I was lucky enough to be sent a bottle a week or so ago; Thank you, Lush!
As you can see from the photos included in this review, the Grape Soda body spray doesn’t have the standard Lush, black-and-white-label on it. Grape Sodas label is a dark shade of purple.
I think Lush were clever to inject colour into the labels of each of the exclusive body sprays in this Summer inspired fragrance drop.
The bright colours scream Summertime. This, alongside the uplifting scents contained within each of the six body spray bottles, make it impossible to not get excited about each of them!
You’ll recognise this body sprays scent if you have tried the UK version of the Big Squeeze bath bomb from this years (2024) Valentine’s Day line.

I must confess that I had to do a little research on Grape Soda before writing this review, I’m not very familiar with what inspired this fragrance as it’s not as popular a food/drink flavour here in the UK, as it is in other countries such as the USA.
In my review of the Big Squeeze bath bomb, I stand by what I said. The Grape Soda scent is very artificial, this however doesn’t mean it is unpleasant.
My research has taught me that American’s just have more of a palate for fruity flavours that are more artificial or exaggerated compared to the British who are more accustomed to fruity flavours that are more natural and/or less intense.
I do however remember sweets from my childhood that were grape flavoured so we aren’t completely deprived of all things Grape Soda in the UK, it just wasn’t (and still isn’t) as readily available here as the demand for it just isn’t on the same scale.
My point is, I feel like this body spray will sell much better outside of the UK than it will in the UK – but, time will tell!

The Grape Soda body spray contains both juniper berry and sweet wild orange oils. The scent is very distinct and as I said earlier it’s fruity but in an artificial way; Think of it as a synthetic interpretation of grapes. It’s sour, tangy and incredibly strong, possibly the strongest out of the six recently released body sprays.
One squirt of the Grape Soda body spray is all you need to use, with it being so strong I think putting any more on would be overkill and wasteful. Just one spritz lasts a good six to eight hours making it excellent value for money.
I’m always honest in my reviews and Grape Soda isn’t one of my favourite Lush scent families but I can see it being very popular with younger customers, especially those within the USA, there is something very playful about the scent, it reminds me of being a kid, a kid without a care in the world.
Overall, I am impressed with the Grape Soda body spray, it’s strong and lasts which is all you really need a body spray to be!
