Sweet Ruby Bath Bomb from Lush

In celebration of World Bath Bomb Day 2025 and to mark Lush’s 30th birthday, Lush Cosmetics have pulled out all the stops by releasing 30 unique bath bombs; A dazzling mix of golden oldies, revamped classics, and brand-new delights.

The first one I’ll be reviewing from this exciting line-up is the Sweet Ruby Bath Bomb.

Sweet Ruby stands out immediately with its vivid hot pink colour and a simple yet bold design. Made into Lush’s traditional bath bomb shape, it has the number 30 stamped into its side, a proud nod to its place in this celebratory collection!

The Sweet Ruby bath bomb contains some of the following ingredients: cream of tartar, davana oil, tonka absolute, and fir balsam resin.

It shares its scent with the Home Sweet Pineapple body balm, a scent family that was inspired by pineapple cake.

Each bath bomb is 180g each fitting snuggly in your hand.Sweet Ruby’s fragrance is unmistakably summery; Think sugary pineapple with a juicy, mouthwatering edge. It reminds me of one of my all time favourite ice lollies, the classic pineapple split. Sweet, fresh, and tropical.

Once in the bath, the Sweet Ruby bath bomb instantly begins to fizzle away starting with an explosion of vivid hot pink foam that slowly thins out.

As the Sweet Ruby bath bomb gently spins and dissolves, lighter and darker shades of pink begin to bubble out of it, painting the surface of your bathwater with delicate swirls and perfectly pink bath art, far more than I expected from such a solid, single shaded bath bomb!

As it fizzes away, the scent blossoms fully, flooding your bathroom with sweet, fruity warmth.

It’s as though a beach bar has opened right in your own home. Think sunshine, cocktails, and sand in between your toes!

The Sweet Ruby bath bomb takes a good 12 minutes to dissolve, which means you get to enjoy the pink bath art for that little bit longer. The water it leaves behind is hot pink, rich in fragrance, and gloriously soft to the touch.

Once out of the bath, I was pleased to find my skin felt smooth, refreshed, and lightly scented with that same tropical sweetness, it clung to my skin for several hours after.

All in all, the Sweet Ruby bath bomb took me by surprise. I hadn’t expected much bath art from it, but the layered pinks were a welcome treat. It has such a fun, fruity scent and in my opinion is a perfect addition to Lush’s 30th birthday collection.

I am so excited to try and review the other 29 in the collection!
